I haven't done any personal training, but the trainers are always helpful and I have heard great things. They also offer a variety of other services including group classes and massages. The prices for memberships and services are very reasonable. I go to Tracy, but Eric R. has gone to Mary and Andrew and we were happy with all of the therapists. The beginning of the appointment is a brief consultation with the therapist to let him or her know any issues and focus areas. Then, a comfortable massage experience that flies by. I think given my issues, I find the massage to be mainly therapeutic rather than relaxing, but you can request what you are looking for specifically. I just took advantage of the August special 75 minutes for $60. This is truly a great deal considering I used to live in Vegas and even with 20% off local discounts at the casinos, I often spent more than double for 60 minute massages. I will continue to return as needed and will stay loyal to my therapist. This is easy - the first appointment requires filling out a form but otherwise I just show up a few minutes before my appointment and have never had to wait.

They would be open 24 hrs. mercy fitness is my primary gym but sometimes I want to workout at 3 am or Sunday morning or something. The owner was rude but at the time I was going to be there, he wouldn't. So I was willing to pay for a second gym. So I went in to go talk to the owner Mike Reed ( store number 785-537-3003) and he told me to my face that I was too fat for his equipment and he doesn't want me as a member. I've been going to gyms for years and I'm fifty pounds heavier when I was and they never said I was to fat. Ok if he doesn't want my money so be it. But don't let him get yours either.

The water is cloudy and I have observed the pool maintenance staff dumping a bucketful of chemicals directly into the water during lap time, there is a smell of chlorine after this happens. There is a swim lesson during the morning that is never on the schedule. They also use one lane for physical therapy, so between the therapy and the lesson there are 2 lanes out of commission during busy lap times. It is only a 6 lane pool. Doesn't seem to be any one who is managing this pool.

I work an unusual schedule and often finish in the middle of the night. For half the year, that works perfectly--there's hardly anyone at the gym when I go after work. But the rest of the year, I run into the problem of limited hours because the gym closes on Friday and Saturday nights while I'm working. Sure, I could adjust my routine, but that would cut into family time, which I'm not willing to sacrifice. I've read many of the reviews, and I agree with most of the feedback--both the good and the bad. For example, the hot tub is almost always out of service. They really should adjust the chemical maintenance schedule to a more user-friendly time. I don't know the logistics, but adding a key fob or passcode system seems like an easy fix for security. Every other gym in town--even the smaller ones--has something like that. On the positive side, the classes are excellent and provide a solid workout if you choose to attend. If you want to learn to swim or play tennis, they've got you covered. My kids take lessons there and absolutely love it. The locker rooms and showers are generally clean. When they aren't, it's usually because users don't pick up after themselves. Just don't leave your belongings in a locker overnight--they will notice and leave you a note. Overall, the facility is nice and has everything you need to meet your fitness goals.
