Highly recommend Max's! Old school style barbershop. Three chairs. Casey is great! Always a great cut and good conversation. While I usually have Casey cut my hair, you're not going to go wrong with anyone in there. Jeff - the owner is running a great shop. Ive never had any issues here and I'd much rather spend my money on a local shop with good people than go to a cookie cutter hair cut place. The prices are about the same anyway and you get much better service here. Don't forget to bring cash. They are cash or check only. No credit cards. I've been in Reynoldsburg for almost a year now, and have finally found my "old school" barbershop! Having only really had one barber for the majority of my life, it became difficult to accept that driving an hour for a haircut every few weeks would just not cut it anymore. I've been bouncing from one chain shop to the next, never fully satisfied with the cut but excusing it just to avoid an awkward situation. I probably would've found Max's much sooner if I ever had a need or desire to drive down Main St, but my life never takes me that way. It's an old school, three chair barber shop that's been in the same location since 1965. Jeff cut my hair and was meticulous with his questions leading up to it, making sure to get the details down, so he could give me a cut that I would be happy with. By the time we were done, I felt like I had known Jeff for years. Turns out he went to the same high school as my father had, and we reminisced about the Toledo area where they had grown up, and I later went to college at. If there's one thing any barber should be good at, it's keeping up quality conversation, and Jeff made me feel instantly at ease. The only thing that keeps me from going 5 stars is the parking situation. This isn't necessarily their fault, but the off-street parking is very narrow and the lines aren't very well marked. It's hard to determine if you're supposed to park at an angle or straight in. People were doing both. Overall a great experience, and one that I will be visiting about every three weeks! read more

I have been going to Max's for probably about 4-5 years. I don't even really live super close anymore, probably about 15 minute drive but the guys are Max's are just so friendly! Really enjoy this shop and even though I have tried barber shops that are closer, just can't find the top quality people that work here! $13 a haircut with a $2 tip in my opinion is a great haircut at a great price! read more

Hours after the haircut I still have no itchiness or stray hairs like I have had after chain places.
