I'm a healthy 34 year old that had been suffering with a chronic headache for a month went to my primary doctor ran all the test needed and didn't find anything wrong with me just prescribed pain medication. I started going when an old neck injury started flaring up last August. I had stopped going to my previous chiropractor when the pandemic began, and then I moved away to Sylmar. I found Dr. Maya's office and came in, and him and his staff were very quick to bring me in and examine me. Turns out--my neck was in a very bad shape, and it sure felt like it. Dr. Maya started me out on "treatment", where I would be put through some machines and then formally adjusted by him. I felt very taken care of and respected--I feel that he truly cared about my recovery, and that he viewed me as a patient and not just a cashgrab. Once I started getting better, he moved me onto "maintenance", which just required the monthly adjustment. Throughout the whole thing, he always said that ultimately it was my choice to continue coming--I never felt pressured to keep coming, but I did feel that his concern was well-placed and not malicious. I trust him to recommend me items and to keep coming simply because he truly cared for my state of being. He's an awesome guy! We're closing in on a year since I started, and I still highly recommend Dr. Maya! I only have positive things to say about Dr. Maya and his staff. First off, I would like to note that I have had experiences with other chiropractors in the past (at least 3 different ones), but my sessions were not all that great. I suffered with severe back problems for several years until I found an acupuncturist who helped with pain management. Fast forward to six years later and I still have minor issues with my back every now and then. Lately, I have been under a substantial amount of stress, which causes me to clench my teeth and my jaw to click, and occasionally it locks shut. TMJ syndrome is very debilitating. On certain occasions, even chewing my food can be a difficult and painful task. Given my past experiences with chiropractic work, I was skeptical about how Dr. Maya would be able to help me. Well, needless to say, I started treatment approximately four months ago and have seen significant improvements on my jaw and overall physical functioning. I continue to see Dr. Maya and his staff for at least one session a week for my TMJ syndrome follow ups and adjustments, and leave each session feeling more relaxed and pain free. Upon arrival, his staff will place you on, either, a machine to send electrical pulses to targeted areas of the body or a full body roller machine (both help relax the muscles). Afterwards, Dr. Maya will take you into a smaller private office, review your symptoms, and assess and treat those problem areas. Dr. Maya is knowledgeable, professional, emphatic, and of great importance, he is also bilingual (Spanish-English). I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a holistic treatment approach to pain. Dr. Maya is an excellent Chiropractor. He is highly experienced and a great adjuster. He has helped me with my TMJ problems. I was suffering with a bad bite after using a poorly fitted night guard. It was causing me some alignment issues. He worked on my musculature around my mouth then adjusted my jaw. The then proceeded to align my neck and the rest of my body. He would easily be able to adjust me where some chiropractors would have difficulty getting. He did not leave me feeling painful after the adjustment which can happen with inexperienced doctors. I made the call for an appointment and to my luck they were able to schedule an appointment the same day I called. w00t! The location is located on Maclay next to Baskin Robins and some spa. Majority of parking spots is shared with other businesses but found private parking specifically for Maya Chiropractic Center! I walk in and I find a modern, clean, and simple environment that didn't feel like some typical medical office. The staff was very attentive and helped me the moment I entered. I signed the typical paperwork with questions and disclosures, then sat down with their many available clean chairs. Ok down to the real review... Dr. Antonio Maya is very professional and gets down to the point. After going through a very thorough diagnosis, he found out that my reflexes in my left arm wasn't working. He was right! He already caught neck alignment issues which was separate from the car accident damage! Before Dr. Maya did the adjustments he will send you to a massage bed that rolls across your spinal cord, which is pretty decent. They have a separate private room for other massage services at your convenience as well. Dr. Maya's adjustments are snappy and quick. After 10 adjustments over the course of 2 months, I felt much better. My left hand reflexes\grip returned to normal and I am one happy camper! I can finally grip weights evenly between hands at the gym! I had to deal with a horrible left hand grip for over a year before the adjustments! Definitely try this place out! read more

I went to maya chiropractor because of some severe low back pain. I have been to other doctors and chiros before for the same thing and nothing but the normal was given. Medication and minimal mediocare therapy. This place was different. The staff was awesome. Dr Maya did a thorough exam and was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my back. He then made a treatment program for me . I' am not going to lie, it was not cheap . But he did also use the KLaser on me . And now I only go in for maintenance adjustments. Let me tell you. I was so happy with his service, my husband started seeing him for back pain. Now we are bringing the whole family in. My six year old had been complaining about pain in her leg for three weeks. It was not severe or constant, she also wasn't able to sit criss cross apple sauce A.K.A Indian style, but it was three weeks so I decided to take her to her pediatrician . They tried sending me off saying everyone was fine but I insisted she have testing since it had been three weeks. She had broken her ankle two years before so I was concerned it was related to that. The Dr. suggested i have her rest and ti give her tylenol. After the results and X-rays came back normal I decided to take her in to Dr.Maya. Right away he felt the problem. He gave her the proper alignment and my daughter was able to sit criss cross applesauce before we left his office. Her leg pain went away and I didn't even need to give her any medicine. I am truly grateful for Dr. Maya's treatment and have now taken my son and daughter as well as my husband and I, for regular visits. Top Notch Service. After sustained a rear end collision. I knew I needed to see a chiropractor. This clinic was highly recommended and the reviews online confirmed the quality of service. This business is towards the rear of the nearly full parking lot, BUT, there is special parking for MAYA CHIROPRACTIC!!! That's right! Parked right in front. I was greeted by friendly staff, Anabel was at the front desk and she help me with my paperwork. She was very proficient. The office was clean and modern looking with recessed lights and a nice flat screen tv on the wall. A lot of literature to read, but you get treated so fast that there is not much need for the litereture. The next staff member I encountered was a nurse (I think), Liz, with high positve energy, beautiful, and a great smile. She took my vitals and let me know what to do and what to expect. Easy going so far! Finally, I was treated by Dr. Gary. He took his time and did his homework. He had actually already knew my vitals before coming into the room and he verified where I felt pain and treated me accordingly. He explained a lot to me why the muscles become tense, inflammed, and are associated with pain. He gave me some exercises to do and sent me on my way.
