The chiropractors themselves were truly knowledgeable and kind. I had a wonderful experience with my adjustments. As a woman, my male doctor made me feel comfortable, heard and welcomed. What truly brings down my rating of the establishment itself is the customer service provided at the desk. The waiting room was hosted by a younger aged girl who obviously had no interest in the patients. This girl took forever, trying to get the information of one woman. In addition to spending upwards of 10 minutes with one woman, another woman in the waiting area said she hadn't been helped yet at 12:40 when she had an appointment for 12:00. Poor woman was worried about going back to work. Not only did she provide mediocre service to others, but when trying to sell me the package deals on top of their first visit offer for $27 she had the audacity to say "it's not that much" That comment truly rubbed me the wrong way, as times are so tough in this world that I was bothered at her blatant assumption of a customers hard earned money. Tbh probably will be back once or twice because the chiropractors themselves were nice, but that one girl made the experience way more complex than it should've been for everyone who came in that day. read more

I canceled my contract back in July after my two month contract was up and they still keep charging my card. Every time I call it goes to voicemail and no one picks up plus I could only go on Saturdays and half the time they were closed. Very disappointing don't trust them and we will never go back! I had seen a private chiropractor for a while but stopped when I thought I felt ok. The neck pain came back though so decided to try Joint. Went in for the $29 initial appointment. The sign up process was a bit arduous and I had to wait a bit as they focused on the existing clients before a new client due to the time required. Once I got in though, had a great experience. Doctor was very nice, asked all the right questions and did a great adjustment. I decided to sign up for the $89 membership. Based on my experience this is a wildly low cost but understand you just get adjustments and no physiotherapy. Been back three times since my initial and being a client is def so easy. Just go in, swipe your keycard and you can be in and out in 10 minutes, if not shorter. They keep a file on you so they know right away what to work on. read more

At first, he seemed very nice and asked if there was anything else he could do for me. When I asked if he could do a leg pull, he said I was very demanding and then I said I didn't know that asking for something that I was requiring was being demanding and he said he was joking. Went to get adjusted here since another location was closed and wow I'm highly disappointed. When it was my turn to get adjusted, tell me why it was the quickest adjustment I ever gotten? 3 adjustments and that's it!! None of my bones were cracked during the whole session. Then when the doctor that day was trying to adjust my back.. it felt like he was doing CPR with how much pressure he was putting holy cow, now my back hurts even more. So knowing that this office closes on Sundays at 5 PM I put off going to the Simi office which closed at four because I was going to be able to get over here on my way somewhere. This place is criminal! They set me up and stole $1800 from my bank account. My wife introduced me to this place after she was going to it a few weeks. I then join the membership then end up cancelling it. They make you come in to cancel the contract and sign paperwork. Because I used HSA account, I don't often look at it. So after over a year, they kept charging to my account even after cancelation. They refused to give my money back. So my wife went in and cancelled her own account. This time, I told my wife to make sure they give her a receipt of the cancellation. This place only does adjustments and they are horrible at it. My neck was more in pain after my visits. I came in feeling very unwelcomed. The receptionist and chiropractor acted like they didn't want to be there and they dreaded their life. When speaking to the receptionist to get set up, the chiropractor proceeded to laugh and scoff at me. The chiropractor then proceeded to make groans as he walked me to the table, as if I was an inconvenience for him being there. I truly felt so uncomfortable, like he hated or resented me and I just met the man. I tried being friendly and make small talk, but he would answer with sarcasm and poked fun at me. Giving the benefit of the doubt - I understand a lot of us are struggling with stress, and that I can sympathize. But it's not right for employees to take their negativity onto new customers. What other reason is there to treat me that way versus discrimination and prejudice? Why give my business to people who treat me like dirt? I'd rather drive father and find someone who is professional and treats me with kindness. read more

After joining, if you decide to cancel be careful and demand proof of the cancelation. My husband went in person to cancel his membership. Over a year later, he realized The Joint continued to pull fees from his account each month. When he notified The Joint, they couldn't find the cancelation form he submitted, and that's their excuse for not providing a refund. They said if he didn't have proof of the cancelation, they couldn't give a refund. This is a scam because they don't give a copy of the cancelation form, they lose the form, and they continue charging the victims. I recently canceled my membership. When I submitted my cancelation form in person, they didn't give me a copy so I asked for a copy. The Joint told me the copier wasn't working and they would email me a scan the next day instead. I still have not received the email. The way the cancelation form is handled is not honest. They don't give a hard copy or an electronic copy, and when they lose it, we are the victims that are charged and they won't issue a refund. My advice when you cancel: take a photo of the cancelation form before you submit it. Check your credit card, bank account, or FSA account to ensure The Joint did not continue charging after your cancelation. If they did, complain to The Joint and report it to the Better Business Bureau. We're not alone, but if each victim reports it, it can help us grow strength in numbers to stop scams like these. read more

Due to extreme Sciatica pain I was desperate to find a chiropractor to help me in anyway possible. Called and the lady over the phone was super sweet and helpful. Explained the whole process and let me know that I can be seen as a Walk in! Amazing!! Went in, I got seem right away and got my pain reduced by 90%. I've been receiving Chiropractic care on and off for the last couple decades. I've been to many clinics and many forms of care. I had a chiropractor in Santa Monica for many years until he decided to retire. The drive was annoying, but it was worth it getting a quick adjustment from a guy you know knew what he was doing. Additionally, though they don't take insurance, they make this affordable by keeping everything simple -- adjustments to neck and spine only. Get this, they keep the price under most insurance co-pays! Certainly was cheaper than the copay I was paying for the other guy in Santa Monica. I bit. I bought the subscription. CHIRO SERVICE: Dr Perry used to be the best but he moved to Texas in Dec 2020 and the other docs have been lackluster ever since. I felt worse, not better. One of them wasn't able to perform the leg pull properly and it hurt me. COMPANY SERVICE: The guy who worked the front desk back in Nov 2020 then told me I could call and cancel my monthly subscription, which I did. Today I came to find out they've been charging me $79/mo EVER SINCE. I talked to an area manager Nic Deli who was extremely rude. "Why didn't you see the charges until now? How do I know that you actually canceled, I don't have any form. Do you have an email?" Well... the credit card charges didn't have "the joint" on it until THIS YEAR. Now they want to hold me accountable and they're basically stealing over $1100 from me and zero services rendered. Do yourself a favor and avoid these corporate level 'healthcare' businesses, there is a reason why their doctors never stick around and they are often treated like a revolving door for chiropractors. I've left other Joints disappointed with the doctor and/or the receptionists. But I've found THE ONE - driving farther out. Doctor Johnson did a thorough exam and located exactly where and what my issues are. He gave me adjustments in every troubled/tight areas of my spine and neck. He was AMAZING!! The pain in my lower back has disappeared, I can turn my neck like an owl (almost :), and he recommended stretching exercises with a tennis ball near my pelvis to release my lower spine So worth the drive! This place is terrible! Was there today at 4:38pm to get my daughter adjusted. As a first time client I understand that there's paperwork that needs to be filled out. The website stated that they closed at 5 PM. The door states that they close at 5 PM. However when we walked in and asked for an appointment they told us that they were not able to see us. At 4:38pm. There were two employees at the front counter and NO customers. I asked how long the appointment would take. The girl stated it would take "around 20 minutes". I said, "great! You don't close for 22 minutes." She said, " well it takes at least 10 minutes to fill out the paperwork". I said, "great! I'll fill it out while my daughter sees the chiropractor." Then the guy sitting next to her spoke for the first time. "No! The paperwork needs to be done first." Ok so you're open until 5pm. But won't take clients after 4:30pm. WTF kind of bullshit is that... you need someone's name written on 12 forms before you can see them? It's not even like they need your insurance information, since they don't take insurance. What happen to customer service... it must be nice to have a business that is so financially secure that they can just turn away paying customers. Dr. Manfre is a miracle worker! I walked in here after years and years of walking by. I was told by my family to check it out. My man finally pushed me through those doors and I'm glad he did! I spoke to Dr. Manfre and he took a complete history! He was very patient, attentive and knowledgeable. He explained certain manipulations and how it could help improve my pain. I was a full on member for about three years with Joint chiropractic location mainly - Porter Ranch location Dr Manfree, Was the only one showing great service in this location. After they fired him I went couple times and I didn't like the service I went to check out Valencia once since i was in the area, and was treated with no customer service. I wouldn't be treated I was told unless I get a new revaluation paperwork, I was really shocked and surprised since I've been a member for three years and never been revaluated before. I was not happy with that so I asked for a manager or the doctor on duty. I had mentioned if you guys have such a rule or policy should be posted so people could read and see: Since it's surprising to me I have not been asked that question for three years. My first yelp review to them 3 years ago was a five star but they deserve zero stars The doctor comes out without even saying hello and says yes that is the policy if you don't like it leave I said you know what I'm not even getting treated here you're a fucking douche bag.. I definitely had an interesting experience when I went. This was my first time visiting this location . I'm a member and was in the area so I thought I'd give them a try. I had a friend with me that was interested in the process. We walked in and the gentlemen at the front desk didn't even lift his head up to greet us. Was playing on his phone. There were 2 other people in the waiting room. A women walked in after to scan in and it didn't work and she said "oh is it not working today?" He again didn't even take his eyes off his phone. And said "no if you do it right it will beep." We we're in the waiting room for about 15 min and it was pretty frustrating to watch client after client walk in and be treated this way. He never even said anything about the friend I brought, didn't notice she didn't check in. Didn't try to see if she was a new client. It was pretty embarrassing trying to explain to her that my home clinic is nothing like this and the front desk always says hello and is attentive. I have been on the wellness plan for a while now and it is a really good deal for keeping spine and posture health good. $69/ month for 4 visits is worth it specifically when the doctors know what they are doing. But there are two things which get in the way of a great experience. First, the doctor keep changing especially on Sunday which is when I am able to come. Some are really good like Dr. Reese and Dr. Braun. While some of the others are not quite there. So this leads to inconsistent treatment. And secondly they are not the best always at treating any kind of specific back pain or issues. There have been times when the issue I came with got aggravated due to the treatment being overdone. But overall I keep coming here for now because it helps with overall maintenance and keeps the intense aches and pains away. read more
