Food was quick and very delicious I felt that it was really jaw dropping. The service was quick, friendly, and professional. The ambiance was so amazing we had a great view of the pyramids

Clean and good service. They check your temperature as you enter, give you a squirt of cleanser and you have to wash your hands as they clean your table. The food was pretty good. I didn't like the forced shows as it were. Mariachi band and the traditional dance. Two different performing groups. Obligated to give tips. Can't avoid the loud music right next to you. Can't have a conversation.

Nice spot by the pyramids to grab lunch. Besides good food, they have a mariachi and performances of cultural dances which were neat to watch. I would highly recommend considering amenities for the area (n.b. supposedly there's also a spot nearby where you can taste more exotic Mexican foods but couldn't track the recommendation from my guide.)

Long wait for the food but there was some live entertainment that we got to watch. Enjoyed eating their "Mayahuel especially", which were basically warmed up dishes in a hot stone. The vegetables were not particularly seasoned, but the meat one was juicy and flavorful. Pretty pricey for food that was mostly alright.

After a long hike up the pyramids, our tour guide gave us 2 choices. A restaurant in a cave with decent and expensive food or this place with cheap good food. I wanted to eat in a cave cause well duh but I got outvoted and we came here. It's a cute little spot with lots of tourists. Mariachis come around to all the tables so be kind and have some extra pesos on you. I started off with a Jamaica margarita. It was so good especially after all that walking we had just done. My cousin and I split a sampler. If I remember correctly is had some tiny soles, taquitos... it was all good. I ordered the flautas which were really good but also something Very Americanized. Some of the people in my group had rabbit and they enjoyed their meals. Overall, nice place to relax and enjoy food with new friends.

Perfect place to relax listening to music and having great food after tiring trip to the Pyramids

Typical tourist trap right next to pyramids. The bright side is they take credit cards. Food was US prices, not Mexico prices. Flavor and quality was not very good either, disappointing. The staff was nice though.

May be this is the best restaurant in the neighborhood. I mean around there - next to Pyramids, in the middle of nowhere literally. I guess it's mostly for tourists and groups passing by to see the mentioned pyramids and sights. There were local musicians signing and collecting money afterwards. We ordered some local charms, that I don't remember the sophisticated names, there was a dish of pieces of rabbit wrapped in an agave sheet, served with puree of beans and rice cake. Menu is with pictures for your convenience and better understanding. The known for me was quesadilla. In one portion there were four different pieces: simple with cheese, with chicken, with mushrooms and last one with something local spicy stuff. They didn't bring any sour cream or guacamole on the side; they served it with some indigenous salsas that were firing your mouth. So we ordered a side order of guacamole to extinguish the fire. Guacamole was served with chips from pork fat and some local cheese. There were some unusual regional and provincial "delicacies" on the menu: cooked caterpillars and worms. I saw the pictures on the menu and they didn't look very attractive to me, more repulsive I'd say. But may be some tourists like to try and taste new aboriginal "goodies", to feel better their way of life perhaps this way... We drank beer. But perhaps they have some wine too. And desserts. But there was enough food for us that we skipped that part. The whole lunch including drinks costed us about 23 US $ for two. I don't think we ever ate cheaper there. They also have a children playground in the back. The service was fast and attentive. The accept credit cards and add 10% service charge in the check.

The prices are elevated as you could imagine for being in such a unique location. We just stopped for a snack and to experience the cave. So got 2 beers an americano, quesadilla and corn cakes with chicken. The quesadillas were made with a Mexican Oaxaca cheese instead the cheddar and Monterey Jack that's found in the states. So it was quite good. The corn cakes were sopes. I know what sopes are but I didn't know they they were translated into corn cakes. That's the problem with translating it into English. We got them with chicken they were also quite good. The corn cake base was tender, I'm used to them being hard and rubbery so it was nice to finally enjoy a sope. Service was prompt and friendly, there was a tablet with English which made it easy. The prices are high but it's the type of place that you go for the experience.

The vanilla pan dulce also tasted a little stale. On the other hand, the fruta mixta was fresh and one of the better parts of the meal. The setting is unique, which makes this place stand out. Eating inside a cave creates a cool atmosphere that you do not get at a typical restaurant. However, the food does not match the price point.

This place is a hidden gem--do not skip it…read more The restaurant itself is beautiful, with an amazing view, and from the moment we walked in, we felt completely at ease. Everything was spotless, welcoming, and thoughtfully done. It's owned and run by a local husband-and-wife team, and that personal care makes all the difference. We truly felt at home. Ernesto was incredible--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure our entire family had a great experience. I speak Spanish, but he is also fluent in English, which made everything seamless. The food? Outstanding. My kids ordered the chicken tacos and finished every single bite. I had the tortilla soup, which was easily one of the best I've ever had--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I also ordered a custom chicken breast stuffed with huitlacoche, and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. If you're looking for authentic food, excellent service, and a place that actually cares, this is it. Don't fall for the hype of the overcrowded tourist spots--this restaurant is the real deal. Perfect for families and anyone who appreciates amazing food made with heart.
