I found Karina back in 2019 I believe on Facebook after I had a traumatic experience somewhere else. I was afraid to get my lashes done again, but as soon as I sat in Karina's chair my fear went away. I remember that day she first examined my lashes to make sure they were healthy before giving me a new set & honestly, the rest has been history. My go to's are always the Hybrid lash set which is a happy medium between classics & volume. She does all kinds of sets you can think of, different lengths to tailor your eyes, different beautiful eyelash curl patterns, she adds color, I mean this girl has no limits to what she can do. Every time I leave her chair, I feel absolutely beautiful. If I have a day where I don't care to get ready, my lashes still keep me feeling & looking beautiful. I also want to add I moved away for a short time & decided not to get my lashes done because I simply just don't trust anyone else, Karina has really set the bar so high for my standards. She taught me how to properly care for my lash extensions & due to this sometimes I can go 3-4 weeks without a fill if I absolutely have to when life gets too busy for a short moment. Karina is professional, kind, & very knowledgable regarding lashes, lash health, waxing, & anything with your eyebrows. She offers eyebrow lamination, tinting, & shaping as well & she is so talented. Karina also offers Training courses at KayLuxx Beauty Salon so if you have ever been interested in becoming a Lash Artist she is your girl! She has helped create many lash artists. Karina also takes many courses to learn new techniques & stay up to date with the beauty industry & of course her work shows this!! I wasn't extra hard on my nails I did normal every day stuff I do. Because Gel X is a softer tip I can understand if a tip was too narrow for my nail bed and it cracked from that but 5 nails?! I told her I would be there first thing in the morning when they opened. I got to the salon when it opened. The man was very nice and did a great job replacing the 5 nails. About 30 minutes later the lady who originally did my nails came in. After the man was done she asked him a question about my nails. Even though it wasn't in English I knew because he shook his hair and pointed to the top of his nail. He repeated himself a couple times and kept pointing to his finger so I can only assume he was reiterating that my nails were cracked. The station I was told to sit at when I had to go back was dirty from the day before. Clipped tips were all over the floor, the towel from the day before was on the station with clippings and acrylic drops. The tools from both visits were not clean and rusty. The nail brushes to wash your nails were all first and has that reddish algae that builds up at the base. I gave 2 stars because the man to redid my nails was very nice! I will definitely not be going back to that salon.

On top of the liner not lasting, the first person who did my liner refused to give me stardust liner, even though she knew how to do it. She said it wouldn't suit my eye but that's what I wanted. This time around I made sure to text Ciara pictures of my eye and make sure she was okay with doing stardust liner for me. Not many people can do stardust liner, and well top of that, which is why I came from California. I don't think Ciara checks Instagram often, she was way more responsive through text and answered all questions I had. Ciara gave me exactly what I asked for. I wanted brown stardust liner and she suggested doing black on the lash line going up to brown. I agreed. I'm also very picky and she was patient going back and forth with revisions for drawing my eyeliner so I was happy with it. My eyes swelled a lot, so the eyeliner looked more than it was. I was happy with the size but she said the liner will look smaller once the skin isn't swollen anymore, but she said she can add more at touch up no problem. She just wasn't comfortable adding too much not knowing how much the skin will contract so it's better to add more later rather than adding too much in case I'm not happy with it. It was good she said that so I know exactly what to expect! She gave me a goody bag with Q-tips and Aquaphore as well as aftercare instructions. Thankfully my eyeliner didn't come off this time! I also didn't lose a bunch of my lashes like I did with the other person while healing. Thank goodness, and the liner did get smaller like she warned me but I'll be asking for more at the touch up :)
