Tammy clearly had the skills required and understood what I wanted to correct which was apparent after the first treatment. This was work that required some abrasive action along with some various applications of other products. Some of it featured a little sting here and there but the bottom line was, after the second treatment the itching had stopped. Tammy continued over the final four sessions to refine and texture the rough spots and extract tiny little bumps. She also minimized a small facial scar that I hadn't really been aware of. Since I went in primarily looking to resolve the itching, all the other work Tammy did was for me a bonus. My skin looks and feels much better. I also decided to start using a loofah sponge to maintain everything that was done. Each session was 60-90 minutes and I went every six weeks (maybe even more frequently). It hurt quite a bit but she was nice and I kept making appointments. At first she kept saying how she didn't understand why my hair was being so stubborn and then she started saying she could see a lot of progress. I remember one day in particular when I walked out another woman was waiting to go in and asked me if I felt like the treatments were working because she didn't feel it was working for her. All I could say was "well it seems in making progress" even though I shared her doubt as well. I can't say whether Barbara was lying or not but it doesn't really matter because it didn't work...AT ALL. Within a few months all hair had grown back and I still have to shave my face every single day. It doesn't matter what age you are, but with me being in my mid-20s (at the time I was early 20s) it's just hard to be let down like this after wasting so much time and money. Just know that this does not work for very many people (if anyone at all). If you feel like it's working I challenge you to stop for a few months and see if you still feel the same way. Later, I tried electrolysis at a different place but the experience was so painful that I found that I couldn't make it through a session. I swore off electrolysis for a while but knew I'd have to try again. Did you know that it doesn't have to be like shooting giant fire needles into your skin? Did you know that if your electrologist pays attention to you and knows their equipment well enough, they can calibrate various things to make the experience more manageable? Blake has been able to dial things in so precisely that while it still hurts to a far lesser degree, I often can just ignore it and get lost in conversation instead. I used to use Lidocaine and ibuprofen, but I don't bother with either anymore. Your mileage may vary with regards to the pain experience, but it's new for me for a professional to not only *notice* and *care* that I'm in pain, but also to take steps to mitigate it as much as possible. Her work is stellar, and she helped me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. Finally, the results are permanent and this has changed the trajectory of my life in a very real way. 10/10, would be zapped again (if that were necessary).
