I was pretty satisfied with my pedicure. It helps that this place was so close to me, it was a 5 minute walk. I walked in and they said it would be 30 minutes and they were pretty true to their word. I was sitting in a chair within 20 minutes and the lady didn't start until after 30 minutes of being there. I decided to go the deluxe pedicure route ($35) which was similar pedicures I've gotten for $20, so that was a little bit of a bummer pricing wise. The hot stone was interesting something I've never experienced before. She applied some kind of lotion and scrub that gave my feet a tingly and almost on fire sensation. So when the paraffin wax came around I could barely tell it was even warm. I will probably return but not get the deluxe pedicure. Not a fan of that lotion, my feet are still tingling. On my bright side, my toes look pretty great! read more

Was told it was going to be a 10 minute wait for a mani and pedi. Well after me patiently waiting for 25 minutes with no complaint, they put me in a chair and soaked my feel (only in water and I found a black hair floating in there) another 25 minutes went by without anyone ever asking me how I was doing, no "thank you for waiting" etc.. so after me practically being there for almost an hr with still NO SERVICE. I told one of the gals that if they where "that busy" then they shouldn't have wasted my time and I would have gone else ware and I left. I left with some soggy feet and someone else's black hair. GROSS!!! There was only 3 people in the entire salon. It wasn't crazy busy but that's not the point. Once I left I went to IRIS NAILS & SPA off of 117th Ave and WOW. Now that was customer and the place was CLEAN. Iris isn't your normal salon. Typically nail techs tear up my poor nails and skin but wasn't even nicked once and Hannah was wonderful. I had a coupon for a $30 deluxe pedicure. I was freshly dumped and in need of some pampering. The experience was relaxing, but since it was my first pedi I felt a little bit weird with strangers touching my feet. I have the opposite of a foot fetish I guess. I quickly got over it when the hot towels and massage came. The place was really clean and I saw the technician open a sealed tool kit which is always nice to see. I heard rave reviews from a returning customer who interrupted my pedi to hug the technician. I didn't mind being interrupted for something like that. I removed my acrylics a while back but my natural nails are completely destroyed. The nail bed was filed way too thin at certain points, I'm having severe pain and discomfort at the tips of my fingers and where the filing was done. Please, please, go somewhere else. I highly recommend their deluxe pedicure! It's a little pricey but always turns out great! They do a nice massage and parafin dip. I recommend shellac so it lasts longer than a week though.... However, on that note, DO NOT GET ACRYLIC NAILS DONE HERE. For anyone who thinks they do a great job on acrylic, they haven't had them done right. After taking my mom to a great nail place in Gresham for her wedding weeks earlier she came with me to my pedicure at Galaxy (it's closer to my house) and decided to get a fill while waiting. The woman doing her nails RIPPED off her old nails instead of grinding them down or soaking them and completely ruined her nail beds. After the first two nails were removed my mom told her it hurt and to please stop the way she was doing them and she told her "no, you okay" and continued anyway! After putting on her new nails (she charged full set instead of fill) my mom couldn't put any pressure on her fingers for over a week and they were red and bleeding near the cuticle. I took my mother and I out to get pedicures today and the service was pretty good. The people were nice and the massage chairs were super nice. My only complaint is that they didn't do my mom and I at the same time though we scheduled it ahead of time. They are super busy so timing isn't correct. I dont normally write reviews, and I just had to create a account to do so.. As I'm still sitting here waiting because the lady left 2 toes uneven, even after I pointed it out. Another lady asked if I was good, and I said no. I have 2 uneven toes. So 2 ladies came over to look at what I was talking about. The one attempted to fix it, but clearly didn't. I came in right after work to unwind and relax. Being I was JUST here last week for a fill, and here again 2 weeks ago for a pedi and a wax. My lady started to rush through my pedi once another lady came in. The girl coming in asked how long for a pedi. (Keep in mind, I called in and made my appointment) my lady said 5 minutes when she hadn't even started to paint my toes yet. She then completely rushed an now my toes look poorly done. So I never write reveiws on anything. But this nail salon was so amazing. I got a mani and pedi. We were sat quickly and they were very friendly. Greeted us with smiles. I got an amazing massage on my legs and feet. They picked my color and it was perfect. My manicure was magnificent. The lady i had made sure everything was right for me. My mails were strong and the perfect size. I am overall just so happy and i will definitly be returning. My mother n law and I showed up to get a mani and pedi. One of the nail techs said one can be done now and one person would have to wait a bit. They didn't specify it would be one at a time. It took 2 hours. when it came time for the heels, the grater was just a few seconds and then the purple pumas stone was a few seconds also. Pissed me off since I don't like to have rough feet. We choose to get a stone massage it was honestly maybe 30 seconds for each leg. The nail paint job was lacking also. The nails have air holes in the polish and because she thinned the polish with acetone, the second coat doesn't even come close to the first coat. I have provided a photo. Which I am 2 hours after the mani and pedi and the nail polish is already chipping. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place. At all. $90 for two shitty mani/pedi. First time going here today. Right when I sat down the lady gave me the gel manicure colors to flip through and as soon as I sat down grabbed my hand and wanted to start already. I had to tell her I'm still looking..then a few min later she did this again! I felt like it was extremely rude and just felt she was just trying to rush me. I was clearly still picking out my color and needed both hands to do so... then while cutting my cuticles made two fingers bleed, which if you do a good job this shouldn't happen. The last and final straw which prompted me to write this review was when a utensil that she was using fell on the ground and she picked it up and attempted to use it again on me! First time here and probably the last. Maybe she was having bad day but she acted like she didn't like me. I use clear colored powder & she insisted they don't have clear. Then the owner says they can do clear, They do have it. She cuts nails different lengths. I asked for nail art & showed her what I wanted from there examples. Looks nothing like it. I wouldn't let her do the other nail with a design. She was saying how good it looked. No not really. I told her it looks nothing the example. The whole vibe was not welcoming or relaxing. Well... The lady asked me if i wanted to keep my natural nail length i said yes, so she made two nails completely shorter than the rest of them? ok whatever nails grow back,fine. She left me to service another client which is fine, the lady that took over seemed like she didn't quite know what she was doing. She was going to leave all my other nails long and not match them to the shorter nails. She started cutting my nails with cuticle remover tools.. All my nails are different lengths. I recommend making an appointment as walk-in wait time is usually at least 30 mins; but I believe this speaks to their popularity and the amount of time they take with their clients. I always felt cared for and not rushed, and my nails are always perfect. I went here a few years ago and it was an awful experience! For my first time getting acrylics the did a horrible job and cut my finger up and when they went to put the solution on it burnt so badly. I noticed the tools seemed dingy and looked re used and not cleaned..... It really freaked me out and the lady was so rude and rushed. I kept telling her it was my first time getting them and to be careful and she just kinda grumbled and was very impatient. I looked at my mom and about cried! HORRIBLE time. All my friends had great reviews. But this was over all bad bad bad. I've been to MANY salons since then and would BEG you to go to Serenity day spa in fishers landing on the same block store as Fred Myers. They are super nice and treat me kindly! Here, you get what you pay for and sometimes more. I've been lots of times. Even my worst experiences weren't that bad, considering the dirt cheap price you pay. If you live in the area, the coupon clipper book often has coupons for this biz. Yes, the ladies often talk to each other-not in English. But they will also attempt to talk to you if you engage them. Or, you can just sit back, relax and listen to music, read some trashy mags (lots to choose from) or just zone out. Mostly my trips here have been fine and a few times I got way more than I paid for. I go there every few weeks to get my nails done and occasionally get a pedicure. First of all, the most basic pedicure they have includes hot stones, which is amazing and magical. Everyone is really friendly, but half the time, I am there just after work and don't always prefer to talk, so they are OK with that, too, and I appreciate just being able to relax and disengage. Not sure if it was the blood gushing from my big toe or the over-scraping of my heel that compels me to leave this review. I've been here before with ok results, but when you leave a nail salon limping out the door from the aftermath of a pedicure, it can't have been a good experience. My aesthetician seemed to be in a rush, thus the carelessness when she trimmed my cuticles and in her use of the cheese grater on my heels. Once she noticed my big toe was bleeding from her stabbing at it with her scissors she spritzed what I believe was alcohol on it. That sure didn't feel good. Yow! Then, she squirted a little on my heel. I mean, why not? It was raw and on the verge of bleeding so I'm sure she thought a little alcohol would feel quite refreshing. Double yow! When I finally came to, I looked down and noticed that my toenails were trimmed unevenly as well. Not sure how or why that was the case, but at that point, I just wanted out. The 3 times I have been to this nail/waxing salon I have been treated rudely and been given terrible mani/pedi's. When I got gellac nails they came off after 3 whole days (after a boasted 2 weeks... at least) When I went back they said they would paint them again but without a manicure (what's the point?!) When I went to get my brows waxed, the technician told me to shut up when I was politely telling her what I wanted!! And this last chance was the worst experience yet! She did okay painting my toes, but when it came to my nails? She didn't even sit me at a station I was sitting in just some chair with both my hands in one bowl of cold water. She spent maybe 30 seconds manicuring and then 5 minutes slapping on the nail polish, missing complete sides of my nails with air bubbles and cotton streaks under the topcat. When I complained she was blantanly rude and told me to come back tomorrow because they were too busy now to fix them. When I went back I still wasn't seated at a station. And she was looking at me laughing and talking to the other ladies in another language. Needless to say I will not be going back, maybe they were just rude to me but I could have done a better manicure on myself for HALF the price! read more
