Figured while yes this is a tourist trap it may be reasonable since it a very small town and the essence of Mayberry should be adorable and community driven. But no they was as crazy expensive as any other tourist trap store you would find in big cities. Overall they had some cool and fun t shirts and merch but nothing worth $25 for any shirt you can probably find online cheaper.

Danbury is a really small place, but we thought they pulled off this play quite nicely and I like community theater and always have liked it I would have preferred a murder mystery that the audience doesn't solve, but the killer is revealed. Good interaction with the cast and they were all very fun to talk to as well. The coffee from Rocky's was very good and the facility was nice for and comfortable. I would go there again if they have a play that is interesting to me.

The owner remembered us after our first couple of visits maybe two years ago. I just found that amazing because we only go 2 to 4 times a year. We love the scented tarts that he stocks that we use in the Scentsy burner and he has a good selection of garden flags that I like to look at. Beyond that, there are just a lot of really cute decorative items - wall hangings, seasonal kitsch stuff, seasonal dinnerware, stylish home decor like figurines, decorative tins, garden art, etc. It's a little hard to describe but so worth a visit.

The building dates back to the 1920s according to county records and it has been a fixture in Danbury for generations, sitting just a short distance from the entrance to Hanging Rock State Park. Once you step inside though, it turns into the kind of true country store that is getting harder to find. Shelves are packed with old fashioned candies, local preserves and james, small household items and even a bit of clothing. It feels lived in and authentic, the way a general store should. A friendly lady rang up my purchase, a fridge magnet and some pimento cheese that ended up being breakfast and snacks for the rest of the day. Priddy's is also known locally for its weekend music gatherings and community events, something that you can see mentioned in tourism guides and Stokes County historical notes. I am super pleased that I stopped in because it is one of those places that rewards curiosity and looking past the cover. Scot gave us a quick overview of what they do there and showed us some of the work that was in progress. This is such an awesome creative space and the artwork was just incredible. We bought a stoneware mug and small barn quilt to bring back to our home in Florida. They are open set hours on the weekends and by appointment Monday-Friday.
