I had the cheeseburger with the usual trimmings and onion rings. My wife had the cheeseburger with homemade fries. Both burgers were delicious as well as the onion rings and fries. Our waitress was efficient and friendly and answered our questions as this was our first visit. We didn't have a salad but the salad bar looked great. Lots of choices and everything looked fresh. We tried the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer (not the frozen kind from Walmart), my boys shared the hand breaded tenders with garlic bread, and green beans. The green beans....HOW did they get that much flavor in them?! I'm embarrassed thinking that I made good green beans after trying theirs. I need to sit down and take notes. The tenders were in fact hand breaded and looked great-my boys wolfed them down before I could taste one. We shared the regular catfish plate with 6 filets, beans, cole slaw, hush puppies and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. The catfish was done right! Good amount of breading, tender/flaky, not greasy. Beans and slaw were yummy as well. Let's talk about the star of this plate-the hush puppies. We got a combo of regular spicy and the spicy hush puppies have spoiled me. They were homemade and I could've eaten an entire platter of those alone. Everything was about $40, we left full and happy. As a foodie, it brings me great joy to find these places that are not food chains and their take on a food we have all eaten before.
