If I could give CitySide Condominiums zero stars, I would. After living here for a year with three…read moreroommates, I can confidently say this was the worst rental experience I have ever had. From the day we moved in, the property was in terrible condition. The house was filthy and clearly had not been properly cleaned or maintained before we received the keys. It took us weeks just to clean everything enough to make the place feel livable. We found broken blinds, broken closet doors, a broken toilet, a broken ice maker, clogged drains, an A/C system that constantly had issues, and even no A/C filter when we moved in. The washer and dryer were extremely old and barely worked. Getting these problems fixed was another nightmare. We made repeated calls and sent emails about maintenance issues, and many of them were ignored or never properly resolved. One of the worst examples was our oven. The interior glass shattered simply from the oven being turned on. Despite repeatedly contacting them about it, it was never replaced. We spent approximately the LAST FOUR MONTHS of our lease without a working oven. The A/C situation was just as ridiculous, especially considering this is South Florida. Our A/C repeatedly stopped working, causing the house to reach temperatures close to 90 degrees on multiple occasions. During our final month, it broke again and we were left in that heat for about a week before someone even came to look at it. We were told maintenance would arrive on a certain day, and they did not show up until two days later. We also dealt with constant bug issues and plumbing problems throughout our time there. Drains would barely drain, toilets overflowed, and multiple issues we reported were either ignored or left unresolved. On top of all of this, we were charged numerous fees during the move-in process that felt excessive compared with any rental experience I have had before. Unfortunately, my roommates and I were under a deadline to find housing, so we went through with it. Looking back, I wish we had walked away. What happened after move-out made the entire experience even worse. The carpeted stairs near the front entrance were already filthy and heavily worn when we moved in. They looked like they had been there for years, and despite our attempts to clean them, there was only so much we could do. After we moved out, CitySide claimed the condition was our responsibility and said the carpet was so dirty it needed to be removed. We were then charged for it. They also attempted to hold us financially responsible for other cleaning and damage issues that we maintain existed before we ever moved into the property. We are now disputing charges and the handling of our security deposit over conditions that we believe were pre-existing. What makes this even more concerning is that we were told the property was going to be renovated after we moved out, after we were not allowed to renew our lease. Given the timing, the additional charges for old and pre-existing conditions made us seriously question whether we were being expected to absorb costs associated with work that was going to be done after our tenancy. I cannot prove their motivation, so I will leave future tenants to draw their own conclusions. We were four college-aged tenants, and the entire experience left us feeling like the company assumed we would simply accept whatever charges were sent to us without challenging them. My biggest advice to anyone considering renting through CitySide is simple: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Take detailed photos and videos of every room, appliance, wall, floor, door, blind, piece of carpet, plumbing fixture, and A/C component BEFORE you move anything into the property. Keep every email, maintenance request, phone record, receipt, and piece of paperwork. Do the same thing immediately before moving out. Or better yet, go somewhere else. I would never rent from CitySide Condominiums again. Between the condition of the property when we received it, months of unresolved maintenance problems, living without an oven for approximately four months, repeated A/C problems in South Florida, and then being charged after move-out for conditions we maintain existed before our tenancy, this experience was completely unacceptable.

I've seen some of the reviews but I can't be that hard…read more I was in Florida for business of course and Mrs. E was with me. One property on the west coast and one on the east coast. We stayed here as a VRBO.one draw to the resort is a balcony. We love having coffee on the balcony in the morning and wine in the evening. The resort has Valet parking which I typically love but a little sloppy here. Back to the balcony. We were on a night floor which was advertised as the penthouse. Except there were two floors above us. Worst part was that the HVAC machines were on our side of the building which created constant noise. Big letdown. So in my business I can't help but look at things that are being neglected. Typically that's not a good sign. The pathway to the beach was not what the advertisement showed and much of the brick work was damaged and appeared neglected. They do have a restaurant on the property. We had breakfast there one morning. Not my fav. They have a store with beach wear but ridiculously expensive. Would we stay there again? I think I'll pass. You decide for yourself.
