I needed a locksmith to come to my home and make a key for my garage door. Technician arrived on time and set to work making the key. Mid-century home/garage door to work on and he had a key on the truck. He was very nice. I liked that he got down to work without chit chatting. When he was done, I tested the key and then locked (thought I did, I turned the knob) and the door opened. What in the world. Come to find out the locking mechanism on the door had been removed by the previous owner so no way to lock the door. I was told there would be no charge, but he did come out and did do some work. Not his fault that the locking mechanism was missing. Sure, maybe he should of looked as should I, but I wanted to pay something and insisted he balked. He did call the office explain the problem told them I wanted to pay something so we settled on 1/2 price. Which I was happy to pay. read more

I purchased a used cabinet with a set of locked glass doors. I took a risk,but hoped I could find someone to unlock it without spending more for the locksmith than I did for the cabinet. Looked up this place online because it states that they can make and replace missing keys for motorcycles. So I call (because of the ad) I ask about a replacement key and I'm told that they don't do motorcycle keys..... Then why advertise that you do. Pretty shitty read more

I give 5-stars for the ability for this shop to replace a remote key quickly. Approximately 5-10 minutes. I give 3-stars for their customer service outside of the key fix. The woman in the shop was not pleasant and lacked a general understanding that my key did not work and I brought it here so that they may find a way to: make my key to work. For future reference, fix & replace are used interchangeably in the spoken English word. If a key cannot be fixed and you are an intelligent sales individual you should offer up additional options to fix a key, replace it or "make it work." If someone asks for a key to be "fixed," this does not eliminate the option to "replace" the key. You are the key experts; this is why I came to you. Poor sales tactics & customer service include telling a customer to "look up the answer on your smartphone" when they ask for ideas on who could possibly fix the issue. I will use my smartphone to find another business the next time I have similar issues. Hopefully the insight above will help you avoid losing another customer the next time someone comes in with a faulty key. read more

Despite the banner showing this business/location has been reported as closed by Yelpers, I stopped by to have a key made on December 31, 2018 and they are definitely open for business (and have been since 1969). I've been doing business with them since around 1995 - very nice people, professional and highly-skilled locksmiths. If they can't do it, it just can't be done. read more

John was a complete and total lifesaver. I had an antique armoire that no longer had its key; we had misplaced it in a move. I called Mayfair and they told me that they should be able to get me in by the end of the week. A few hours later, John called to say he could be at my place in 30 minutes. He arrived with his antique key box and he started trying them out. He had success at one of the last ones! Programmed a smart key for my Lexus and even cut a high security key very quickly. They were quick, had seemingly every key blank known to man with what looked like more than a dozen kinds of key cutting machines. They had safes, key accessories, door locksets, many kinds of padlocks, and more things that I expected. They were very quick, courteous, and even silly behind the counter. I used to cut keys at a hardware store, and it always aggravated me when others wouldn't buff the key to rid the sharp edges and burrs, but they certainly did. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE FOLKS. read more

These guys are the best! our home was burglarized and the keys to my Eclipse were stolen. We called a locksmith out and they were unable to get key to communicate with the OBD stating it must be a blown fuse or another issue with my car and just left.
