I needed to get a 20ft. section of 2"x2" tubing rolled for a driveway gate I was fabricating for my house. I don't have a roller that can handle this task so, under the recommendation of my local metal supply store, drove down the road to Mayhem Metal Works. I am extremely happy the place that rolled my last piece was closed or I would have never known about this place, or met the owner who I believe is named Eddy, who was VERY helpful! I was worried 1 piece of tubing would be too small a job or I would pay through the nose, but Eddy handled the job like a true professional. He charged me an extremely reasonable price (I even offered to pay a bit more since the other shop charged me more) but he refused and said that wouldn't be fair. He even went so far as to make some recommendations and gave me fabrication tips to help me finish my gate! I left Mayhem Metal Works a happy camper, with a nicely rolled piece of tubing, some extra knowledge I can use for future builds, and a new go-to shop for jobs I can't handle on my own or don't have the right equipment for! I was only there to get a tube rolled, but he showed me some examples of other jobs he can handle. He has a CNC plasma table (I'm pretty sure it's plasma) that can handle some very thick sheet (he showed me some hook things he had just finished and they were about 7/8" thick with a nice, clean cut), he has a very heavy duty automated tubing roller, a metal break or bender I believe, and tons of other stuff. If anyone every needs a project done, whether big or small, I'm sure Eddy can handle it and have it come out looking amazing. I have a rescued Moluccan Cockatoo that needed a larger cage. I brought a large used rod iron one which was not in the greatest shape. Bars were broken, bent and old locks. Not usable for this large bird. I took it to Eddie and he told me he could fix it for me and make it look brand new. There was so much to be done to it before I could get it powdered coated. I went to look at it and what a surprise and amazement at the job that he has done so far. What talent Eddie has. This by far is the absolute best in the high desert and would highly recommend it. Eddie is a very cool down-to-earth guy. I had a really small project that I needed welded so I called him and he said "come on over and all weld up for you now." 20 minutes later and he had it completed. When I took it home, I realized that I told him to weld it on the wrong side that it needed, I called him back up and he was so cool enough to weld it right there on the spot again even though it was my mistake. Eddie really stepped up for me when other shops couldn't make the time to help me. I was travelling towing a travel trailer and my hitch broke requiring welding to repair. Eddie really delivered after stopping by another welding shop only to be turned away. The other shop didn't want to touch the complete custom rack I wanted made to attach to my hitch extender because of the angles and difficult design.
