They also have an Long term care skilled rehab center on site as well an professional building that house many specialists. I spent the night here once when I was five years old or so. I swallowed a penny (I was very orally fixated) and it got stuck in my throat. I had to have surgery and then I pooped it out about 2 weeks later. Nice!

Yeah, she could not get any pain relief from bone cancer pain because the nurses kept stealing it. The nurses are also well known for drinking on the job so heavily that they pass out in the parking lot.

I was in the rehab section for 2 weeks, They first thing I experienced there were 2 of the nursing…read moreaids that were repositioning me sing a version of " Fly me to the moon " as they used the draw sheet to move me up in the bed, the version of the song they sang was of their own making " fly me to the moon ,right through the wall " then one of them proceeded to place his arm around the back of my neck where my surgery was. he leaned down very close to my face,so that all i saw a a white teeth grin in the darkness. he said "so thats what wrong with ya, after I told he thats where my surgery was. Then to top it off he went to place the pillow behind my head but pretended to start to place it over my face ,I remembered this because I lifted my hand up trying to protect myself. then they left , I didnt feel safe telling anyone about this. the follow items were not just one off but overall behaviors by several of the nurses. ! roughness with the patients, example one nurse giving you meds then all of a sudden another one trying to give you eye drops without them even saying anything. while the other one is shouting look up look up. 2 I was told a few different times the nurse would be back to do a procedure only to find out t=after waiting more than a hour just to find out they went home!! 3 during meds round ,my room mate wanted to know what a pill was that she was given, only to be told by the nurse they didn't have time to tell her and just to take it 4 waiting many hours to have a procedure done ,then without warning they come in and because I wasn't in bed (which would have taken 5 secounds ) THEY LEFT !!!! they did come up back after I was yelling loud enough to wake everyone up. 5 I wanted to see the PA , 3 separate times only to be told he went home ,and the other one on duty also went home ,strange, I finally ran into him in the hall and asked him my question. Although there are a few other things,they are mostly annoying .

Having dislocated my limbs multiple times, I know from experience thats not going to touch the pain. Doctor offered x ray for a tissue injury. X rays do not provide beneficial medical data for tissue injury. Left with out even bothering for the over priced Tylenol. She did manage to needlessly twist and wrench my arm though, so at least im in more pain then I left. The only professional was the desk staff and security. Good on them for being decent humans. The alleged PHDs could use some training and empathy.

Eli from the office called me right back and I explained what I needed and asked for help. He was right on it and got back to me within a couple of hours and had a room for my Mom within 2 days. I was not sure what I was going to need and he told me not to worry that someone would call me to let me know and go over everything. I got a call from Jen MacDougal who told me she would walk me through the process and she sure did! We met with her the next day and went over everything. She clearly let us know what we should expect from showing us the room, the building and most important all the people who were working. She made it clear to ask ANY questions we had and she answered all of them. She is so professional and down to earth. I also got to meet Alyssa Frazier who works with Jen and make great team mates. They helped us with all our requests. We meet with Jen for several hours including going over all the medicine, Moms doctors and all her appointments. They do EVERYTHING so you do NOTHING but take care of your loved one. I don't know how to thank them enough. When they say that it starts from the top of the organization and works down, they are 100% right. The staff there is nothing short of AWESOME! Now that Mom has been there for a while, we still feel the same way and just LOVE the place. They have so many activities going on and make sure they offer things were everyone can be included. If you are thinking about having a loved one needing a place to stay don't think again, sign them up and know you are doing the right thing and you do not need to worry about a thing. The building is an old red brick school house converted into a warm, upbeat, well appointed home. They can scale up based on needs and or simply serve as an assisted living for those that are still getting around. This set up works well for my parents who are operating at different levels but definitely don't want to separate. During our tour we pulled over a few guests to capture opinions and all lined up to rank the this house as our top choice for my folks.
