During my son's initial assessment I knew we had hit the jackpot. Rich spent a full hour thoroughly assessing and asking thoughtful questions. He then emailed summary of our visit and a plan. Additionally, he emailed helpful, tailored exercise plans to do at home. Rich, Ashley, and Cassie have all worked with my son, and at each visit they've provided one-on-one attention. I need to mention they also included excellent therapy sessions in the pool. Every therapy session has been focused and truly exceptional. Our son has made a full recovery. Her…read moredoctor and I decided that hospice was necessary as a way to give Nanny the support she needed as she lived in an assisted living home that didn't offer the level of care my grandmother needed at this time. They were in contact with me daily (sometimes more than once). They assured me that I would be notified when she was "actively dying" as I had to travel 300 miles to get to her. A diagnosis of an "actively dying" patient allows family members to go into Assisted Living homes during Covid-19. Despite having a built a trusting relationship with them (director, social worker, and nurses) they never notified our family when my grandmother was "actively dying" and ultimately, she died alone without Bayada or any family members present. They never called me/us when she died. We learned she died when we called the Loretto Home (which we did several times daily) to check in on her. They did call to offer bereavement services yet never let us know she had passed. I consider this very unprofessional and unorganized. Hospice services are intended to make the patient comfortable and support family members. We felt many things, supported was not one of them.

I arrived over 20-30 minutes early and left more than 20 minutes after my appointment time. No one was there. At one point a man came in and looked around and left with the water cooler when he couldn't find anyone. I called the office the next day to see why it is no one was there for my scheduled appointment and was told that I didn't look hard enough because she was there. Apparently I was supposed to wander through the empty space and its back rooms searching for someone? I was also told the provider "peeked her head out and didn't see anyone" (even though I was there for well over half an hour). I was also told I should have called. I should have called? I had an appointment so perhaps you should have been there. I've never had such unprofessional treatment from a medical provider. A complete waste of my time and really upsetting.
