I just want to warn people who may be thinking of using them. My brother next door hired a solar company who subcontracted Mays to remove a couple branches from my oaktree that were hanging over his garage roof. Instead they took down half my tree. Even after we told them not to cut anything on that tree except for the agreed upon branches. Pretty much an F-U to us. read more

We had 6 trees taken down, they were outstanding. They took the trees down turned them into mulch and cleaned up the yard and driveway completely. The price was reasonable. I can not say enough good things them and recommend them 110 %. read more

In a recent storm a pine tree blew over during the night and was laying over my privacy fence in to my neighbors lawn. I was referred to Mays by a friend because they told me they were fast and reasonable. I left a message in the early morning hours and received a call back within a half an hour. Robert showed up at my house to give me a reasonable estimate within an hour. Robert said he would be back with his crew and within two hours I had two pines trees removed with all debris and wood hauled away and cleared in under an hour. Another great job by May's Tree and Stump Removal today. They cut down four fruit trees, removed all of the brush, ground the stumps, and raked the shavings. They left the back yard looking great. The difference between working with Mays and another large "red truck" company was like night and day. Mays showed up within an hour or so after initial call for an estimate and did the work THE NEXT DAY! No deposit requested (like the red truck company who has multiple reviews noting trouble getting deposit back/work done), no super vague completion date. I am extremely impressed with Robert Mays, owner of Mays Tree and Stump Removal, as he is extremely professional, promptly returns calls, promptly schedules estimates, shows up on the scheduled date and time for the estimate and then promptly put me on the calendar for tree removal and trimming. Robert Mays and his crew showed up on the scheduled date after Mr. Mays confirmed with me the day before. I was impressed that they even clean up after they are done!! After receiving several estimates, Mr. Mays estimate was extremely reasonable. Unfortunately, my experience during this process of trying to secure tree removal estimates has been frustrating as many companies do not return calls or if they do, they tell you they will call you to schedule a date for the estimate and they never call. Also, many estimates were very inflated and out of range for the job which I can only assume was because they did not want the work or they were just trying to take advantage.
