Original estimate was $1800 and he got $900 down and only cleaned the deck (high estimate of $400) but I foolishly agreed. He must have seen me as an easy mark. When I almost laughed incredulously, he called the police to "complain about not paying for services" Even the cop said he was "full of Sh...t" Read my yelp review as he kept threatening (had done that BEFORE not doing any work). I have grounds to sue him but court costs would take up more than he owes me. He is actually scary and uses intimidation when maybe 5% of the work was completed (deck wash) when he demanded full payment and called police. This must be his M.O. in business. Not a member of BBB as he is NOT a business with integrity. 4

Tree Care of New York did some work at my neighbor's place today, and it ended up affecting my…read moreyard. Their crew trimmed branches that reached over the property line and left the debris behind, without checking in or cleaning up. When I asked what was going on, they said they were clearing a tree for the neighbor's service box. Even though they knew their work crossed onto my side, they left the mess. I also overheard a few of the crew making light of my questions, which was disappointing. Leaving debris on someone else's property, especially without asking, doesn't reflect well on how the work is done or how boundaries are respected. It shouldn't fall to the property owner to sort out cleanup for something they didn't ask for. I've documented what happened and asked for it to be addressed. I hope the company will take this seriously, ensure the cleanup occurs, and remind their crews of the importance of handling these situations well.

Our trees were storm damaged, and now they look healthy and strong. These men worked diligently the entire time they were here, and they cleaned up all of the debris before leaving. They gave us good advice as to which limbs needed to come down and which ones were still healthy. They willingly accommodated all of our requests, and nothing was damaged form their equipment. Our yard looks better now than it has in years, and our trees are nicely shaped and beautiful. The men who did the work were polite and knowledgeable, as well as hard working. They arrived on time and took pride in their work, from the estimate right down to the clean up. Everyone we encountered from the first phone call was pleasant, professional, and reliable. We were told that they offer free estimates, as well as 24 hour emergency & storm work. We highly recommend Tree Care of NY for their service!
