The staff are hand picked and know your child so well. Both my kids have started their big school with reading and writing skills way above the average. If you need that little bit more this is the school for you.
From the owner: At The Butterfly Preschool our aim is to engage children's ability to learn in a fun and…read morestimulating environment. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum along with a forest school approach of doing lots of learning outdoors, what ever the weather! The curriculum is carefully designed to make sure every child has the ability to learn in an environment that makes them unique. All our children aim to reach their early learning goals by the time they leave us. With fully qualified teachers and Early Years Practitioners, in a small and homely environment we aim to create a home from home nursery. The nursery school operates a 5 morning a week programme which are three and quarter hours long (9:15am - 12:30pm), as well as lunch club, afternoon sessions and pick ups from local nursery schools. The nursery stays open 4 days a week until 6pm so you can have a preschool education with the day care hours.

I can't recommend Sunnyfields Day Nursery enough to any local parents needing childcare. Set in a…read morebeautiful large Victorian building and over two floors I was really pleasantly surprised by how large the three rooms were. Unlike many other nurseries I had seen, even the baby room was big and bright, had its own adjoining sleeping room for babies, nap times and own outdoor area dedicated to babies. I loved that while the rooms were large, they weren't really heavily occupied. rooms were clean, full of amazing toys, activities and arts and craft equipment which kept my children really entertained throughout the day. All children have access to a really great large rear garden. They enjoyed growing vegetables, adventures on the climbing frames and tunnels, playing with the mud kitchen and scooting up and down on ride on toys and trikes etc. My children would absolutely crash out at bedtime after their days at Sunnyfields! Most importantly of course is the love and care of the staff at Sunnyfields. My children and I really developed great relationships they developed with the staff. I had three children attend - my youngest still goes. Staff are fantastic at communicating with parents, they are very experienced, caring, and patient. They have helped with any difficulties or anxieties we have had along the way and it's nice that they are a stable and close knit team. If you want a placement that offers a wide range of resources and lots of space but that still feels personal, more 'family-like' and less like a 'business' or 'exchange' then you have to put Sunnyfields on your list of nurseries to visit! Thank you so much Lisa, Sharon and the rest of the team for looking after my three!

No matter what time off day I've picked up our daughter, the staff are always busy playing with the children. The staff is very warm, and you can feel how they really love being with the children. Besides that, Emma, the nursery manager is always extremely flexible, no matter how many times I change our daughter's attending hours, she will always do her best to meet our needs. The nursery is also very organised, which shows in the way they help the children do different age appropriate activities, the daily routine in nursery and the diaries they fill in every day on each child. We have also gotten several development reports on our daughter, and parents meetings as well. Furthermore they have a nice little garden used every day in the summer time. The children get relatively healthy food and snacks there, but you have to bring your own nappies. Lastly is to mention that the leaping lizards do many out off house activities. I don't think there has been one week where they haven't been on some kind off trip, sometimes to the zoo, other times to the park or the supermarket.

They will also continue caring for her as they have this fantastic Wrap Around service - where they will drop her off to school for us, and even collect her after she finishes half day, give her some lunch and afternoon tea, and we can collect her when we finish work. She can also attend there on school holidays and inset days - which s fantastic as we both work. The have just spent over £30,000 in an enormous up grade and the buliding looks stunning and more spacious. The staff are very caring and kind. You feel like you are part of a large family and your child feels at home. They really do care about the parents/carers as well as the children. All the children have parent's meeting at least once a year where you meet with your child's keyworker and get an actual 'school report' on the progress of your child- even the babies which is really cute. You can meet with the Directors who are very hands on, down to earth people when you need to and there is an Area Manager who covers both of the nurseries and she manages the day to day running of the nurseries. There is an email address where you can make contact with the Managers or Directors if you are not able to get to the nursery meetings or make any suggestions. I would highly recommend this nursery as the place for your child - it gives you completly at ease and when you leave your child - you are comfortable in the knowledge that your child will be well looked after with lots of hugs and cuddles.
