He brought the hookah out and one o his friends that he has not seen in a long time came in so he was talking to him with my hookah in his hand instead of bringing it to me. I had to get up and ask him if that was my hookah and he said yes and I said can I have it? He said oh yes. Very unprofessional. He didn't check on the table but once and we were there for 2.5 hours. Our tab came out to $400 for a 2 Greek salad bowls, 2 orders of shrimp, 2 hookah's, and 4 drinks. While the bill was high, that's not why I am upset but for the prices you are charging everything should be excellent. The service was less than par, the salad had very little dressing and when we asked for more he tried to take the bowl of salad instead of bringing us a cup so we could pour our own. The hookah coals were old and heated very quickly and we had to beg for more coals. The ambiance was good it's a very quiet place and plenty of seating but everything else is terrible. Do not waste your time or money with this place.

It felt welcoming and they played the music we had been looking for the entire weekend. We got a hoohak and a few drinks. The hookah is about $65 and the drinks are highly priced which is common in that area so it was expected but the drinks were strong so we couldn't complain at the price. There were only servers but they were both on top of it and constantly checked on our table. Security was also helping a lot with seating staff, cleaning tables and even changing out hot coals. Overall it is THE place we've been in search for. It is so much better than in an overcrowded club with no place to sit. This will be our go to place and I can see that it's also plenty of customers favorite as well since I witness a lot of the customers being greeted with hugs like they were family. He couldn't answer simply questions like what is on the loaded fries - The waiter took the men's orders before he took the ladies orders - Pay before you get your order - 15% gratuity included - Took/submitted orders individually instead of at same time so the orders would come out at the same time. They sat there and watched each other eat their whole meal before the next persons order was delivered - The waiter asked us if we wanted to play Connect 4 or Uno "while we waited", NOT a good sign. - I was the last person to get their order. At this point I'm over it all. It took 44:52 minutes for me to get my order. I told the waiter to just put it in a to go container and I left. The birthday girls fries were overcooked and the salmon was not seasoned at all despite the name and claims of the establishment. Oh...I forgot to mention that the food is overpriced. I paid $23.01 for the 6-piece wing and fries. I could get a whole party bag of wings from Costco(which is probably what they do) for that!!! I'm posting this to warn people AND remind myself not to go back.

I've never once had a bad experience here from the service to the actual hookah -yeah it's a little pricey but it's 100% worth the money. The flavors are the best out of all the hookah lounges I've been to. The owner and staff are always so wonderful and make sure you're comfortable and make it a very personal experience, make sure your coals are just right and you never have to ask for anything because there are usually routine table checks in five minutes or less. For them just getting started a good four months ago I'm highly impressed. Not to mention the ventilation in this place is wonderful, unlike most hookah lounges, you don't have to walk outside to get a breather here. I'm prone to headaches and getting sick in smoggy and loud places like most hookah lounges in tempe, but I've yet to experience that here which without a question has won me over. Only thing I'll say is yes, the price is a little pricey and yes they have little additions that do add up but you're never required to upgrade anything and they don't have an issue telling you the prices for anything you're curious about -either way you ARE getting what you pay for. And to those who get cold easily, be sure to bring a sweater or wear jeans. It's just a little cold in here. ENJOY! read more

This is it. By far it's one of the best hookah places around the states no doubt. I'll start of with the owner, his greetings and welcoming makes you feel like your at your place. The service is 10/10 you cannot have a single comment as they all smile and would love to serve you. The hookah is 10/10, I have been in hookah places in AZ and around the states, I can name 4 or 5 hookah places that serve good hookah, but this place serve the best hookah. They serve all kinds of tobacco, on whatever fruit head you want (ceramic, apple, pineapple, and orange), you can even choose if you want a steel or a glass hookah. It doesn't stop there, you can get a choice of frozen handle and tip or the regular one. What really makes this place different is that the hookah's flavor match the tobacco's flavor which makes it a perfect hookah. The decorations and settings are modern. Music are great, not loud were friends can have conversations. Prices are good, the service you get is way more than the money pay. Overall, there is nothing negative about this place, you can't complain, it's the perfect atmosphere. read more

This is my favorite hookah bar. Went here on a whim because this is the only bar open past 2am around the metro area that we know of. I have been to King Tut and my best friend has been to hubbly bubbly and white cloud, and we both agree other places don't compare. The girl that waited on us was very nice and super informative (warned us double apple is actually black licorice, ew) and the manager was so caring. He gave us cheesecake on the house because he said his friend had some left over. He really cares about his business. Aside from the workers, this place is super clean, the music isn't obnoxiously loud like most bars, and it's not as crowded as the other bars. Only downside is no smoking cigarettes in the building, which is understandable. Definitely making this our regular hookah spot. read more

Drove by and saw the Hookah sign and took a look inside. Loved the atmosphere so I took my fiancé here. We both had a lot of fun. The prices are good and they have a great flavor selection. The staff is very personable and helpful. When the owner found out we were first timers he came out and sat and talked with us a bit to get feedback on how we liked everything. For sports fans it is a nice alternative to a loud sportsbar because of the flatscreens. My fiancé and I were able to sit and hold a conversation without having to shout over music or loud patrons. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family looking for a nice place to hookah and not be overwhelmed. read more

Through my experience going to 5 different hookah lounges in Tempe and Mesa, I found this one to be the best by far. Maybe it's because it's newer than the rest, but the environment was very clean. I didn't see burn holes in the furniture, like I've seen at other hookah lounges, the music was kept at a reasonable volume, and the walls were covered with a beautiful mural. I felt like the service was exceptional and the owner was a really nice guy. The person who served me checked on me constantly and made sure my coals weren't too ashy or the hookah wasn't harsh. This is by far the best lounge I've ever been to. I've been wanting to find a lounge in which I can expect amazing service as well as nice employees. Mo definitely made a great name for himself with all the hard work he puts into making this the fastest and best customer service experience I have ever seen at a lounge. He's a beast at getting a hookah you ordered out in minutes and I love the atmosphere around here!! I had a horrible experience, I am a regular hookah smoker at home.. i came here the employee did not know about hookah's also the hookah did not hit good it was not packed well... the only reason I give it one star because the place looks nice but the hookah was horrible and I had horrible service. I won't go back to this place EVER again. It was on the weekend as well, so I wasted my time out at this place for a horrible experience.. don't let the fancy pictures get to you, that was what attracted me in the first place! This place is now my new favorite hookah lounge it's unbelievable how nice it is to come here. The customer service is outstanding, they would constantly check on everybody and make sure everybody is doing good at all times. All the employees are also very familiar with all the products and know what they are talking about when they recommend things along with being extremely friendly. Mazaj is one of the best hookah places around - very relaxing, lots of space for visiting with friends, very friendly and attentive staff, and the owner, Nabil, is always so welcoming and friendly. The one limitation at this point in time is no proper kitchen, but that is changing come December/January. If you are a connoisseur or a neophyte, Mazaj is the place for you. I have been going here for almost three years now. The owner takes really good care of his regulars and also comes and greats all the new people. The hookah hear is also amazing. If it's your first time make sure to ask for their recommendation because they are pros. They also offer amazing drinks and deserts to choose from. I love coming and getting the amazing Knafe and Grape Mint hookah with apple head and Red Bull. I try togo every day but mange to only go once a weekend. Thousand nights is by far the best hookah lounge in the valley. You feel like it's your own place. Seating is extremely comfortable. I've been to a lot of hookah spots around the valley but this is the most relaxed place for sure! It's ideal that they open at 10:00 so I can work on notes and read.
