I wanted to kick back and relax after eating and having drinks so here I am. This was the closest hookah bar near my hotel and near the restaurant I had just went to. It was pretty cool, they had some huge televisions and they even a play station 5 connected. So the difficult thing i had to deal with was that most hookah bars I found had no alchohol and that was a big negative for me, because of that I cut my time short. If you're looking for something to do on a Friday or Saturday night hookah is a good option. This place is chill and reasonably priced. It's not to crowded which makes it nice in comparison to other places. They don't serve alcohol which is kind of a bummer. Sipping on a beer while relaxing with hookah is a nice combo. I had an interesting and unique experience. Here's the breakdown: Hookah flavors & variety & quality-- there were quite a few hookah flavors--we tried double apple which was pretty good. I think they use the Al-Fakher and Starbuz brands. Atmosphere- lots of comfy seating w/o too much crowding. Overall chill vibe. Solid contemporary music. There's also outdoor patio seating Service- our server was really attentive. He was quite the character and kept us laughing the whole time. Other- There were no menus available or defined prices but everything was decently priced. $16 a head. Also had some tea here. Everything was overall pretty good! read more

This is one of the more beautiful hookah lounges in the valley, leather couches, nice finishes, marble tables, classic high-quality boardgames like backgammon and chess (and they also have cards). I just came in for a Turkish coffee and it was done right, very strong and not burnt! They also have hookah and traditional Middle Eastern sweets like knafeh. I saw some people studying since it's very close to MCC, but there were also dates here and friends hanging out. I loved how the owner was sitting down with a friend playing backgammon on a nice board. There is also a patio if you need one. And they play traditional Middle Eastern music which added to the authentic atmosphere. My only complaint is that they don't have dancing/a club feel on weekend nights like a lot of the hookah lounges in the valley do. But otherwise, a solid Middle Eastern cafe and hookah lounge! read more

This place is my new favorite chill spot. They have a nice space interior with comfortable seating. On the patio they have very comfortable couches. They have wifi so you can come read a book or your laptop. In the evening they turn on musters and fans on the patio so it's nice and cool. The staff is very friendly and accommodating especially Jasmine! They also serve sandwiches and drinks, and you can bring your own food. There is a nice middle eastern restaurant right next door with delicious food! They also have punch cards for the hookah, 7th one is free! read more

Great place to have hookah for night time. I had tried double apple alfakher and it was good, could be better but it was good. Many types of flavors of hookah. This hookah lounge is an active lounge so you might consider to check if they have available tables. But you might find times that the place is empty. I like the interior design and the furniture are comfortable. I also had tried the Iraqi tea, taste fine. Friendly stuff. Not a fan of music so they could lower it or turned it off because some customers or the employee would increase the volume that i wont be able to pay attention to my friends. Prices seems to be high for a hookah but worth it. Would definitely come again! read more

My favorite hookah lounge in the east valley. Unlike most other lounges, with low lighting and dingy furniture, Lava Cafe has comfortable seating as well as a great atmosphere and ambiance. Nice place to chill and relax with friends. The new owner is also a super cool dude and the staff is always helpful. They're still working on getting more flavors so it's kind of a limited selection at the moment but a small sacrifice for the great service and location. I highly recommend it! read more

After a really disappointing visit to another local hookah lounge I was hesitant to take another risk. But...I'm a simple man with a simple nicotine fixation so, yeah, I took another shot. Fortunately, my risk was rewarded this time! The lounge was completely empty when I strolled in, which at first was almost concerning. My guy Fahad was the homie the whole time, bringing me a solid pack with an impressive hookah setup. It was a standard foil pack over a large bowl (looked like it could hold around 50g of shisha) and three large coals placed over it. Smoked well consistently well for over 90 minutes, which I was very happy with. Eventually the place did fill up with a large group of regulars who took up a big table and smoked while playing exciting games of cards. Even though I was the only one in the location using the WiFi, Fahad took a good deal of time working on it when it went out unexpectedly until it was back up and running. All in all a very positive experience, I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area looking for a casual place to kill a couple hours. read more

Fantastic, quaint place for some hookah! A while back ago, my husband had some business partners fly in and they insisted on a hookah lounge. We found this wonderful place and really enjoyed the amazing, genuine customer service from the staff. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a clean and quality hookah lounge that you can hangout at and talk with your friends. Not exactly sure why this place is rated as high as it is...except that it seemed like they cater to their friends better than their new customers ( perhaps a lot of these good reviews are from their friends). I also read in the reviews that they had apples to smoke from, but the guy at the counter said they did not. I asked for a menu and they didn't have one...they gave us 1 mouth piece and when i asked for 2 additional he told me that the hose was new and the mouth piece was more for decoration. I said that's great that it's new but id like 2 more mouth pieces...I didnt exactly want to share spit with my friends. They did check up on us frequently which was nice. I also did not like how the big couch on the patio had a reserved sign and 3 people showed up to use it...they also had a fan blasting directly at us and didn't have music for like 2 solid hours.
