I was a bit surprised (and slightly caught off guard) when one of them started helping me with my luggage. He literally took my luggage and began wheeling them toward the gate, which startled me since I wasn't sure what was happening. He kept asking if I needed a taxi but thankfully I was able to kindly respond that I had already had a ride. Overall, this a pretty busy terminal, so stay vigilant and be mindful of your luggage and surroundings.

However, they do give amzing service to the most parts where needed. The lobby is a bustling line of patrons patiently awaiting to check in, a good 30 to 60 minutes on a busy day and perhaps longer on busier season and special holidays. They don't leave you unattended while waiting, a fresh juice and pastry is served while standing in line After checking in you can explore the massive hotel inside and out. There's a lot to see and check out. The rooms are great and modern, I mean I could get a phenomenal room at Cesar's Palace in Vegas for a cheaper price but the hospitality and service here is superb (i think that's what you're paying half the price of your stay!) There's an array of food to choose from. Asian cuisine, western cooking, a few Mediterranean dishes and of course the staple dishes of Cebu. The menu changes from breakfast to lunch and dinner. You will enjoy tasting dishes you have not tried before and the meal comes with your package. There's a list of restaurants and stores in the area to explore. You don't have to leave the resort at all. Anything you could possibly need during your stay is provided for. Sauna, massage, fitness and nature are at the tips of your fingers. Overall we had a great experience at this resort, we checked in and they brought our bags to the room that were nicely AC'd, had a mini fridge, purified water, tea, and instant coffee along with a kettle. There's 3 pools and private beach access, not much more you can ask for! The main restaurant is allegro, which is a buffet, but you can order items a la carte. If you choose when booking, you can have it so breakfast is included with your room, which we did and I highly recommend doing. The breakfast buffet is great! Many Filipino, American, and other Asian food options. I didn't go for lunch and went once for dinner, it's about $23 and it was the Cebu food fest night, I think I would've preferred going on a normal night and I don't think it was really worth the price. We didn't checkout their seafood restaurant, which is over the water so can't speak for that. We loved the staff, they were so nice and attentive and we took a picture with our main bartender on our last night! The resort did their best to make sure we had the best trip possible and I would recommend this resort if you're looking for a place to stay in mactan-Cebu.

ROOM: We stayed in a room with a king-sized bed. There was a table with two chairs, but no sofa like some other hotels. It was just fine for us since we were hardly there at all. Bottles of water were complimentary, along with coffee. The bed was firm yet comfortable. They have a TV in the room, which offers a limited selection of channels. The bedroom and bathroom (as people have noted on Trip Advisor) are somewhat outdated, but it did the job. AMENITIES: We did not use the hotel amenities, but the hotel has a swimming pool, spa, gym, and breakfast buffet. The elevators are small and move slowly. SERVICE: Our only interaction with the hotel staff was during check in. Our bags were brought up to our room shortly after we arrived. Everyone was polite. TIPS: - You will need to put a 1,000 peso deposit (held) down for incidentals. The deposit is refunded after checkout. We were able to put it on a credit card. (Check your card for foreign transaction fees.) - They will inspect your room before you are allowed to officially check out. It was a quick process but expect an additional 5 minutes to check out. - No airport shuttle, but they offered to fetch us a cab.

And where there is one roach, there's usually a family. I would expect at Radisson hotel to be cleaner and roach-free. Their king sized bed is actually two double beds pushed together. Sleeping near the middle of the bed meant back pain since it is not one big mattress and we were essentially sleeping on the edge of a double mattress. Another downside is that they would not allow for strong smelling fruits and foods to be brought into the room. I wanted to purchase a small handful of dried fish and local delicacies as souvenirs, but I didn't want to be fined by the hotel. Our flight left early in the morning so we couldn't find time to go before the airport. We didn't have a chance to visit any of the amenities. The pool looked nice from afar, and we wanted to visit the spa but we could never make it before 10 PM. The location is generally good as it's close to the mall where you can dine, shop, and exchange currency. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing.

They had lovely and unique toiletries. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. The menu is worldly and ingredients were all fresh. Breakfast comes with your stay. The English breakfast was amazing and extremely filling. On my last day, they asked me how I liked the food and they offered any special requests. The lunch menu has more options than the dinner menu. They let you order off the lunch menu for dinner. Greatly accommodating and well worth every penny.

They sat us towards the furthest seat from the beach view and when asked if we can get a closer seat the reception informed us that it's for in-house guest. Given that this place only has very few rooms I found it weird they would not accommodate given the number of empty seats. Anyways we were here to try to food so view not as important. We ordered the Ceaser salad and baked prawns for starters. The baked prawns was decent . For mains we had the prawn spaghetti and flat bread mushroom pizza. Photos uploaded. The portions were quite small and taste very bland. I think the pizza was ok as it's hard to screw up when it's only topped with cheese, mushroom and arugula. Over priced food with very bland taste. Total bill was over 4K. Highly NOT recommended as there are so many better places to eat with staff that actually want you to go there. This place made us feel unwelcome as we were not in house guest.

Red Planet Cebu provides us the best of both worlds. The price is right. The rooms are just big enough for our needs and comfort. The atmosphere is simple and clean. The access to the digital world is readily available and complimentary computers are even provided in the lobby. The only convenience I would suggest would be refrigerators in the room, but at the same time, not having one creates more awareness on my part to not order or shop for food to my hearts content and be more mindful of waste. Their location is prime to more than enough stores, restaurants, attractions and tourism. In fact the Ayala Mall is exactly five minutes walking distance from their front door. The hospitality is a representation of the Filipino people in general. I have not found anywhere comparable to the service with a smile that I find in the Philippines. My family, which on this trip consists of my Hubby and two youngest teens, are all extremely happy with Red Planet Cebu and will definitely stay here again in the future.
