5 Yelp stars are not enough to compliment Ming. I found Ming after panic browsing on Yelp when our previous accountant of 6 years decided to "downsize" her practice. Unless I pay 5x her fee (yes, 5 times more), I'm not one of the clients she felt worthy to keep. I sent out several cold quote inquires and even talk to a couple on the phone because they are phone / in-person type of practice. They are ok, but I need someone efficient and not necessarily need phone time. A couple of the others I corresponded, who were in similar price points with Ming, are EAs and not a CPA. Fast forward, the quote inquiry with Ming was entirely done through yelp messages and email exchanges. He asked a list of questions and I gave him my best guesses. He then gave me a quote based on my response. After combing through my documents a few days later, he let me know that it would be more than his initial quote (because I miscounted how many statements I have). I really appreciate how transparent and upfront he is. He worked on our return basically over one weekend where we corresponded back and forth. I have never met Ming in-person, but have referred him to several others as they too appreciate being able to work asynchronously and efficiently. The owner explained that every tax file is prepared in two step processes: one staff prepares tax file and another staff will review in details prior finalizing each tax. MC Accountancy is a very professional CPA firm. We had another accountant to file our business and individual tax return but ended up having us to pay unusually high tax.
