I feel so lucky to have a store like this that makes stocking up on supplies or testing something different such a seamless and enjoyable endeavor. I have the most wonderful collection of Artfinity and Posca markers from here. The oil brushes are to die for. Prices are very competitive and there are constantly various promotions, discounts and even clearance items available at times. The Mother's Day special was phenomenal this year. I ended up purchasing a large amount due to the sale ending the next day and i didn't want to miss out on the deal. After going home and deciding on what i wanted to keep i took the rest back to return. No issues there. A few more days down the line i changed my mind again and needed less charms due to a change in guests for my event. So i had to take a few more back, unopened of course. This older lady... Debora.. was very passive aggressive with me. I was trying to make conversation and say how sorry i was that it was so complicated due to the last person marking all over the receipt with pen and making it confusing. She goes "well we know how to read it but when you do 2 separate returns it makes it confusing for us". In an annoyed voice. And so i go "well it would just be nice for you guys if you just needed to scan each item like every other store instead of needing to match up barcodes." Trying to show how i was being empathetic to her. That just really irritated me. It was so unnecessary to be that way. She didn't even say bye she just handed me my receipt and moved to the next person.

I'll start by saying that my very goal was to give my father in law a special gift. Something you couldn't get anywhere else. After hearing stories of his childhood, and some of the things that meant something to him as a child, I looked to recreate an old sign in glass. Fortunately, Facebook pointed me to Groovy Moon Glass, and the owner Nicole, who happens to have her storefront right there in my hometown. I started by reaching out to Groovy Moon Glass through Facebook, and telling Nicole what I was looking for. She had great vision - from my ideas she crafted a design that was even better than I had imagined. She also had an amazing knowledge of what size I would need to really make the details pop. The finished product - beautiful! Hanging in the window, the light shines through and it really catches the eye. Truly, it's a centerpiece that my father in law absolutely loves. I had it shipped directly to him in Colorado. I haven't done this (yet!) But she makes incredible portraits of people's pets, and everyone raves about how great those are as gifts. That will be my next purchase! Something they do that I also have not taken advantage of - classes in store! Check out her Facebook for pics of the kids classes, which look super great. There's nothing like a custom piece, but keep in mind - custom items take time and don't always come cheap. Believe me, though, you get something more valuable than what you pay - a piece that is one of a kind, and absolutely sure to be something that the recipient, or you, treasure forever. I used to love coming to this Hobby Lobby location and decorating my home with items from here, but…read morerecently my experiences have been completely ruined by the attitude of some of the employees. Over the last 2 months, one Hispanic young employee with red hair has made every visit extremely unpleasant with rude behavior and a terrible attitude. Today, she was also constantly staring at us in a very judgmental way and making us feel extremely uncomfortable the entire time we were shopping. No customer should feel watched or judged just for being in the store. The older cashier with glasses at the register was also openly looking us up and down and came across as very judgmental and unwelcoming. Customers should not feel uncomfortable or judged while simply trying to shop. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite stores, but the customer service lately has been awful. I really wish management would hire kinder, more professional employees instead of people with constant attitudes toward customers.

We could go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby for stamping gear but we love to visit the small shops & we are thrilled we visited Stamp Salado. The store is located right on Main Street in a very cute red cottage. The owner is such a pleasant lady, the store offers classes in store & plenty of stamping gear to buy, it does also have card stock & papers to pick from. They have sample cards all over the store to give you great inspiration. We will be back very soon.
