I was a little nervous about entering a whole new district because my 2 older sons attended school in the Sacramento district and both attended Bancroft Elementary in College Greens. That community became like an extended family. Arcohe has been great and the few months she's attended school we've already been to two birthday parties and met some locals. The school is a mix of cultures with a lot of Spanish speakers which I like because I speak Spanish as well. All in all things have gone well and the small town feeling and our new Arcohe community has been welcoming and amazing to us!

The principal secretary stated she is there to screen calls for principal. If you are there dealing with someone child and they call to speak to you why would you not speak to them. The nurse is in everyone business and discusses other children's business in the open where other families and children can hear it. Ms. Showers wen to the school to visit the classes and the children were told before she arrived not to ask questions cause she doesn't have time for that. The after school program aces children are told they only get paid if the child attends everyday, which should never be discussed with a child.

I am sharing this to make other parents aware of serious concerns regarding Ms. Choi's conduct in…read morethe classroom. Although she may present herself as friendly, my child experienced repeated condescending, inappropriate, and troubling behavior. My child was bullied by other students on multiple occasions, and I personally witnessed some of these incidents. Instead of intervening appropriately, Ms. Choi dismissed my child's reports, denied that incidents occurred, and labeled her a liar.She made inappropriate comments about my child's appearance, including remarks about her skin color, and spoke negatively about me as a parent directly to my child. My child also reported being physically touched in a way that made her uncomfortable. In addition, she described instances where Ms. Choi would whisper comments in her ear so that others could not hear, which caused her to feel isolated and distressed.When I brought these concerns to school administration, I did not see meaningful action taken. After contacting the district multiple times over several months, I was finally able to have my child transferred due to limited availability.I encourage parents to remain vigilant, listen carefully to their children, document concerns, and advocate firmly when necessary. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and protected in their classroom.

Kids need normal school work in class as it's very distracting. After school class for kids to catch up academic is needed.
