We went here yesterday at 8 ordered 2 meals came to $48 one half and half and another full sandwich with soup. On the half and half we asked for no ranch and unfortunately we received ranch on the sandwich so we had to send it back (food allergy) and when we got our replacement it seemed okay with no ranch. After leaving started to have hives and itching and unfortunately ended the night in the emergency seems they didn't take precaution and there was still ranch on the sandwich unfortunately it was too late to fix the issue and decided that it'd be best to leave. So if you have an allergy stay away from here they don't use proper food safety measures. The other meal was okay but definitely not worth the almost $50. read more

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service I received at McAlister's. I placed a drive-thru order that was supposed to be ready at 5:15 PM. I arrived on time and sat at the window for about 15 minutes while multiple employees clearly saw me and ignored me completely. I was already pressed for time because I had to go to work, and the lack of acknowledgement was unacceptable. After being ignored at the window, I drove around and went inside the restaurant, only to be ignored again. An employee brought out several orders and then proceeded to help three people who came in after me and were not even waiting in line, while I was still standing there waiting for assistance. At that point, I had wasted nearly half an hour and had no choice but to leave without my food. I left at 5:42 PM without receiving my order and without a refund. Being ignored multiple times and treated as though my time did not matter is completely unacceptable customer service. I expect a full refund for the order I never received, and I would appreciate someone addressing how this situation was handled so it does not continue happening to other customers. read more

Caught a late lunch after a doctor's appointment, so the place was not busy. The service was very good, the staff was pleasant, and the food was good. I had the Pick 2, a half of a French Dip sandwich and a cup of cheddar broccoli soup, and they were tasty and filling. My friend and I could not understand why they got such a low rating on Yelp. I really tried with this place. The food is below average for this chain (the "hot" sandwiches come out cold everytime). This last visit, yesterday, a young blonde girl was my cashier. She handed me my sweet tea that turned out to be unsweetened. When I corrected her, she got another cup, pour about 1/2 cup, took a sip and then tossed the remains BACK INTO THE CONTAINER!! I get to eat with my husband for lunch once a week and often we choose this location because it used to be good. The last 3 times have been horrible. From there only being one cashier during lunch time, to taking 40 minutes to get our food. My husband has 1 hour for lunch and he still has to drive to and from work. I've worked in the restaurant industry and know what it's like to work short handed and maybe this is why I've given them so many chances. I mean the struggle to even get a refill! Their Covid precautions are a joke. The 1 person they have taking orders picked up a number tag of the counter, wiped it with a dirty rag, laid it back on the counter and slid it toward us. I ordered a sandwich that they later gave to me with avocado that look like it's been set out all day and random chips on it..... so I asked them did they mess up and give me an old order. They said they'd correct and then proceeded to give me only a half a sandwich only. So when I asked about my potato salad and my other half of sandwich they said well you had eaten some of it so were not replacing....... like what....I just asked for money back which was another issue on it's own. We've been going to the store on Wadley for 3 years now. At first the service was great but the last few months it has greatly declined. We eat there fairly regularly but tonight is our last time to eat there. The last order we had was not even complete. The manager remade one of our sandwiches because it wasn't even what we ordered. Tonight when we ordered from online, parts of the order were not complete again. My husband went in to pick it up and the girl at the register gave him attitude about the missing items from our order when he mentioned them and even questioned him about it like he didn't know what we had ordered. I understand it's hard right now to keep good help with all the oilfield work going on but this is ridiculous! We will not be going to any McAlister's stores to eat any longer.
