The (much) longer version: Marisa came out to measure and provide a quote very quickly. Out of 3 quotes, theirs was the most reasonable and they dealt with my request for a custom top (to match the neighbor) and came up with a creative (and nice looking!) way to deal with a weird planting box/retaining wall elevation change. Marisa also drove to my house not once, but twice to pick up the checks for the deposit and the final payment. Once the work actually started, digging the holes for the posts took longer than expected because the area used to be a parking lot for tenants and was really compacted. So, the crew even came out to work on a Saturday so that they could finish on time. They also had to dig two more holes than expected because there was a miscommunication about where the gate should go. I'm planning to eventually add a garage and has asked that the the gate location be on the "gravel section" that was used for parking, but this was understood to be where a sort of "driveway" had been (which was also gravel). So, new holes had to be dug and new poles added so that the gate could be moved a few feet over. Then...my neighbor (who had a chain link fence bordering her property) knocked on my door to complain that the nice side of the was not facing her. I explained that this was not a fence-to-neighbor situation, rather it was a fence-to-fence situation and permit-wise the nice side does not need to be facing her fence. She was not going to take no for an answer, so Bobby managed to calm her down and she eventually agreed that the fence did not need to be ripped out completely, but that he could also put pickets on her side of the fence to make it look nicer on her side. I'm sure this was a nightmare job for them, but they were so pleasant and helpful and professional throughout...And our fence looks great!

They answered all my questions and offering options and insights that I had not considered. I share a fence line with three neighbors. FTF gave me a detailed breakdown of what each neighbor's share would be. This made approaching my neighbors so much easier. They handled all permits and were great about keeping me updated. FTF threw out my old fence. They carefully cleared bushes and landscaping, preserving several that otherwise may have been removed. I removed four mulberry trees from the property and FTF coordinated and worked around the tree company with no issues. I especially appreciated how flexible Final Touch was--just prior to the start date I decided to add a small separate fence around my side door and an eight foot gate to allow for improved access to my backyard. These changes did not delay the project and the additional cost of these changes was very reasonable. Overall, my new fence exceeds my expectations and I am very happy. My three neighbors are happy and I have been getting compliments from passersby. I will be following up with final touch in three months to seal the wood when it is ready. My only regret is I did not do this sooner. I highly recommend Final Touch Fencing
