Expensive, but worth it. My family and I were looking replace a deck and end up choosing to do a hybrid of a deck and paver patios. We met Parker at the the PMS office. The building was an unassuming brick number, with only hints of what they do on the outside, but inside, they truly have a lovely set up that showcased their offerings. We ended up getting quotes from several vendors, but ultimately decided to move forward with PMS because of all of the extra things they offered and the variety of their selection. From start to finish, my experience with PMS was professional yet quick. The day the crew came to our house, I was surprise to see that Parker was there to make sure the office and the work crew were on the same page. I was frankly amazed how quick they were able to clear our the posts from the old deck (we did the demo ourselves), move the sprinklers system (with very little damage), and graded the ground. Also, I cannot say enough about the crew they sent. I believe the foreman was Noe and over the 3 days they were at our house, they work from dawn to dusk, and were fast, yet meticulous, as they laid the pavers, while also cleaning up after themselves. Based on my experience, I kind of wish I had just used them for the entire backyard. If you can afford PMS, I highly recommend this company. I had a decently good experience with this company. There were a few odds and ends that left me stressed at the last minute, but it was all handled. So walking through the process. I read reviews online, filled out an online request for an estimate and someone called me within half an hour to schedule an estimate. The person who came out was Stewart - a very laid back and experienced project manager. He took his time, inspected my property, measured and showed me examples, as well as, explained the process thoroughly when I asked a million questions. He didn't have a sales pitch, it was just a conversation. I was then invited to explore the showroom and scheduled a time. It was very impressive and Stewart was very patient as I choose my plans and materials. Despite it being the highest estimate I received, I received a 10% discount for committing and felt like I trusted them the most and decided to move forward. I had to put 1/3 of the final project cost down for payment and was told they would contact me in 4-6 to schedule the job. This is where the stress came in.. I checked my email approximately 2 minutes before there was a ring at my door. I was being informed that my project was tomorrow and where should they drop off the materials?! I was shocked and overwhelmed, feeling like we were not prepared properly. I later talked to the office scheduler who said she sent an email the week prior, but for some reason I did not see or receive it. Even if I had gotten it, I'm not sure how flexible they would have been with it. Besides having to scramble to get the rest of the payment ready and shuffle around my work schedule for the next day, I also felt like we did not finalize the design, which is crazy because they had already delivered the materials. With a day full of meetings the first day of instillation I felt very anxious that I wouldn't be available enough to meet with the workers. As a result, Stewart did come out the night before and help lay out the design. As I feared, we had different ideas about what the final product was going to look like. I wish they had come out again to determine that, as the only time anyone was on my property was for the estimate and at that point there is only so much attention to detail. I was assured that person in charge of the install would be very accommodating. So we are at the morning of - the workers arrive and ring the bell. My spouse greets them and of course they have a bunch of questions, which I am not available to answer. I am lucky to be working at home, as I really cannot imagine how this would have gone otherwise. Of course the place markers laid out the night prior are not all going to work. The installation team - Alejandro (Alex) - and a crew of five brought some much needed relief. They absolutely knew what they were doing and made everything better. They worked so fast and made so much progress the first day, we're almost done by the second and by the third my entire yard was transformed. There was only one minor issue that the project manager said he would get fixed right away. It took awhile and they tried to talk me out of it and provide a minor discount because it would be costly, but that was his mistake and important to me so I held to it. I will admit that I have high exceptions and value quality, as I believe one should for the price. Their work is lovely, but much of it is preference, which you cannot leave to project managers or workers to decide. I am the one that has to live with this. The end product was great, but I wish there would have been better planning. So, my advice would be go with them, but make sure you have everything figured out before you sign the contract. read more

In November of 2022 I contracted with PMS to do an addition to our existing patio (See photo). For starters they sent out a new crew leader. He didn't make sure the area to be paved was squared up. Subsequently the job had to be torn up and redone, making necessary cuts on the ends to assure everything was square. This is brick paver 101. PMS was very responsive and agreed that this job was botched. The same crew came back and made it right. However, later on (spring of 2023) I noticed the gate would not open toward the enclosed patio (it was left open throughout the winter). This was due to the way they plumbed the downspout to the drain that they created. On May 11, 2023 I left Duane Kraft (project manager) a text message about the issue. He replied by telling me he was out of town until the 22nd. On September 5, I sent another text and told him I knew he hasn't forgotten about me but reminded him about the downspout. On September 19 I sent another text telling him I didn't receive a response. He responded and told me he would be at the house that Monday to take a look. I was told he would take care of it. On November 30, I texted him and asked if he plans to make the repair before winter. No word back. On December 20 I texted him again asking for a response. No answer. I would not recommend PMS for any further work. And I don't recommend Duane Kraft as the project Manager. Nice guy to chat with though. It is now March 12, 2024. I hired Brick Heads, Masonry&Concrete Specialists to do a chimney repair. They were kind enough to make the downspout repair (see photo) at no additional charge. I highly recommend them. This was a small repair job PMS should have done, since their work had a 4 year workmanship guarantee. I know PMS typic does good work. But it all comes down to who manages the work and who they send out. Not communicating to the customer is just bad business. read more

PMS "We're the guys!" installed brick pavers, retaining walls for plantings, shorter steps and lights in my enclosed condo courtyard in Oct. 2021. They eliminated the trip factors, the gigantically high porch step and made it safer for me to maneuver. This Spring of 2022 I easily added flowers and plants in the raised planters and added more pots around the perimeter. It is now dreamy to sit out there day and night. My PMS team were top-notch professionals and knowledgeable in every area of concern. There was no drain before they started to remove the accumulation of water away from the condo itself. No problem for them! They shot lasers and laid the pavers at an unnoticeable angle so that all water flows right out my gate. Perfect! I couldn't believe how quickly they completed the job from start to finish including cleaning everything up in my driveway and on the street. Update 11/18. After nearly 2 years from the initial installation process, pms, we're the guys, came out and replaced the Santerra Brick pavers on our patio that were under warranty. The fact that it took this long is insulting. Had I not left a scathing review, I don't believe my patio would be completed yet. The installation crew is outstanding. They work hard and finished both the original project and the repair very quickly when they were here. They walked through the finished product to make sure we were satisfied and explained some of the basic details to us. Duane was our sales rep. He is extremely professional at all times and a pleasure to work with. I called the company maybe every other month during the seasons they would have been able to repair, so about 8 calls at a minimum. Most of the time they were polite and professional. A few of the calls the staff got a little short with me. Still professional, but I could tell they didn't really weren't going to help me that day. I would love to give a 2 or 3 star review because of my disappointment in their warranty process but they also do 5 star work if you get them to show up. As for pricing, the landscaping industry is all over the place. They are more expensive then a lot of quotes, but they do good work. read more

I happened upon these "guys" while listening to Channel 2 news. They were the "deal of the day" so I gave them a call. I was in the middle of getting quotes for adding brick pavers onto an existing stamped concrete patio, so I added them to the list. Not only was their price the best, they offer 20% off for cash payments. They do also offer financing for free, but I didn't need that. They won the business for installation of pavers in an oddly shaped area as well as an addition to the patio with a fire pit. They did such a perfect job that I actually had them come back and widen the driveway. It looks simply amazing. I could not be any happier. Leo and Kenny were great guys and the work was so nice. They did a nice job initially. When they came out to replace 2 trees they broke a sprinkler line that ran under a sidewalk. They agreed on the phone to let my regular sprinkler company repair it so I'd be sure it was done correctly and fully. When I was looking at having my patio installed a few years ago, I worked with Duane who was very friendly and informative even though their price did not compete with another company who installed an absolutely beautiful patio. I made note of this company for the future when the time came to perform routine maintenance and sealing. I had PMS do an estimate on performing this maintenance and sealing the patio. The price was higher than Willie Nelson, so I figured I would complete this myself in a few nice days after watching several videos and being a rather handy, innovative, and accomplished weekend warrior. I went and bought highly reputable sealer and joint sand. Fast forward a few months, and the few months after the birth of our first child has, needless to say, been much more time consuming than I had expected :) Again, looking to hire the project done, I contacted PMS about modifying the estimate using the $450 worth of product I had already purchased. After several e-mails, it became quite apparent that they would not perform the service using my materials even after stating that the product I purchased was both reputable and one they have used with good results. Dina's attempt to overstate the amount of knowledge required for the job was laughable as this is very routine work that is not difficult with a little know how and equipment. It turns out that Dina thinks her company is the only company worthy of performing this service and that they will not perform the work unless they can significantly up-charge on materials. She was absolutely not helpful or accommodating to a potential customer and, despite how nice and professional Duane was to talk to, I will never consider PMS for any work to be done st my home. There are a lot of companies that do hardscaping maintenance, and I will choose to pay my hard-earned cash to one who knows who they're working for. read more

I don't recommend at all, they installed a new concrete driveway for me, after 18 months it started pitting. I requested a service to be done on it since it's under warranty but they declined it saying the driveway was exposed to "chemicals", they determined that from the pictures and didn't bother coming out to look at it, I called again but no one bothered to call me back. read more

PMS Pavers powerwashed, sanded and sealed my paver driveway and patio, plus the stamped cement side drive. They charged $4,000, more than twice what I'd paid for the same work before. The company I used moved and I really wanted my drive protected, so I bit the bullet and hired them. I wanted them to used a permasand as that was what I used in the past. The salesman insisted that their regular paver sand with their sealer would last longer and prevent insect penetration. I was told it had a complete two year warranty. When the pavers were sealed, the sealer was extremely toxic - so much so the workers needed masks even though they were outside. One of the 'guarantees' was that the pavers would look new and not have any cloudiness (the guy claimed permasand would cause cloudiness - not that they had any). They didn't look 'new', the gloss looked uneven, and they came back and put on another coat. Now, exactly one year later, all the joints are failing. The concrete side drive has numerous areas that have popped. So I called them under the warranty - two years, remember. This is what I was told: We don't warrant the joints. We don't warrant cement unless it is under topsoil (!!??). My drive is over twelve years old and I never had sand crack or disintegrate, it slowly wore away until I knew it needed to be replaced, every three to four years. So, this went from we warrant everything before the job to we warrant nothing after. My mistake was using their suggested interest free one year financing (through a finance company), which was the excuse I was given for not getting my copy of the contract until the work was finished. I was supposed to get a copy of the contract upon completion of the job - I didn't. Stay away! read more
