The girl that did my hair, Nicola, was so flawless as to take my breath away (I LOVE Ireland!). She was so nice and so attentive. She had someone else run over and it pushed my appointment a little later but she was so gracious and sweet that I didn't even care. I love this salon, it's pretty and perfect and has all the right tools to wrestle my hair into a presentable style, also thanks to Nicola. She's a magician! I didn't really have to do much except show her a photo and my hair was done in no time. She really listened and paid attention and gave me the perfect blowout. She even gave me a small discount for having to wait. So nice! I am very picky about my hair and this salon did everything right, I was completely satisfied and I can't wait to return on my next visit! Thank you, Nicola!

Apparently the US versions aren't compatible in Europe, even with a converter. I have naturally curly hair, admittedly nice curly hair, but I blow it out because I don't have time to care for it properly. Thank goodness this place was around the block from my hotel. There were plenty of appointments available and my wash/blowout came out great. Stylist was speedy and knew how to give some loose curls and body without hot tools. My ends usually frizz on day 2-3 but it lasted well beyond that. Very very grateful we were neighbors!

The gentleman who washed my hair was kind and funny. Two guys wound up drying my hair (it takes a village with long extensions) so it really only took about 20 minutes. I didn't love the outcome, it was very flat and the way they dried it you can see almost all my top extensions. If I had more time I might have asked for them to fix it. I would go here again, I would just be very specific as to what I want and remind them of the point of hiding the extensions.

They have complimentary drinks while you're getting your hair done as well (today I opted for a coffee, served in a mini-cafetierre with a couple chocolates on the side). Also comfortable? The back massagers on the seats where they shampoo your hair. Aw yes. The staff are warm and lovely, and Paul is that reassuring blend of knowledgeable, skilled, and charming (I somehow feel more sophisticated than I actually am when I'm there?). On the wedding day, they even let me use their upstairs room to change & do my make-up before dashing off to the big event, which was a level of niceness I appreciated. Definitely book in advance. I won a competition to get hair extensions applied in Dry & Fly and from the moment I headed to my consultation it was a disaster. The lady at my consultation hadn't a clue about the competition, knew nothing about the voucher, made no attempt to find out about it but matched me up anyway. That was fine I left that day on a low but was excited to get it sorted and get my extensions fitted. Finally the day arrived and I'm in the chair about to get my hair, the colour of the extensions was wrong, there wasn't enough extensions to cover my whole head so the lady had to go into the back and find some different coloured extensions to try finish the job. I knew the colour was a bit off but I didn't realise how bad it was until I got home and washed it. The colour wasn't anywhere near the same as my hair, the stylist threw a few random brown pieces in, the cut was uneven. When I contacted the salon I was informed my hair was "too short for extensions" and that I wasn't styling them properly. My hair still a year later is thin and raggedy from being chopped into by the stylist to try cover for the fact she hadn't enough extensions. I should have pushed back harder at the time but because it was a competition I felt I had no right. I paid for them to be removed in a different salon and foolishly let the whole incident sit which I wish I hadn't of done as this was a total mess. It knocked my confidence and something that should have been a great experience in a top salon has ended up costing me a lot to try and get my hair back to normal after a year.

Blow is very handy…read more It opens early so you could get a blow dry done on the way to work. It also opens later Mon-Wed, as well as Sunday's. Very convenient. I've had a few blow dries done here and they've been fine, if a bit time consuming. But the last visit, for my Christmas party, was quick and an excellent blow dry. He did a great job when I needed it most. I've always gotten an appointment here when I looked for one and being close to home+work, it's right up my street (ha, get it). Handy.

The girl doing my hair didn't listen to what I wanted and clearly did her own thing as she spend 5 and a 1/2 hours giving me highlighted roots (my hair naturally is very dark, so platinum blonde with dark brown isn't a good look and make me look like i had stripey hair). When i rang to let them know that I wasn't happy with the colour, the first girl I spoke to, over the phone, was very friendly and helpful and was lovely. She told me to come back in and they would have a look at what could be done to fix it. So I did. I went back in two days later. The girl who originally did my hair wasn't there, thankfully as I think that would have been awkward, and the woman on reception (a much older woman with grey hair) wasn't the least bit pleasent. She was rude, condecending and patronising. I am nearly 30 and I was addresses as 'pet' and 'dear'. When someone has a complaint to make I don't think you should address them as 'dear'. Asssuming she thought I was much younger, I still think it exceptionally rude and bad customer service. She also spoke to the stylist and said 'now, does the client understand what's going to happen and that it won't look excatly like the image she showed you..' instead of asking the stylist this question, next time ask the client. While discussing with my new stylist what could be done, she came over and asked me did i want to wait till the girl who had done my hair was back in (all the while, saying this with an angry and very unhappy look and tone to her). Did I want to go home for a second time to go back in for a third the day after to fix the job that they should have done correctly the first time... no. I did not. So I said no I don't so, i don't have another day to waste getting this done. The guy there was very good, he finished it with another girl and he did the best he could. I'm sure on someone else my hair would be lovely but I have to say I'm not impressed and I won't be going back. I had told others about this place as I went (note went not go) to get my hair cut, and they started going as a result, but since the experience I had, I will be telling them not to bother. I really think you need a new receptionist, one that isn't so rude and doesn't assume someone's age by treating them and speaking to them like an infant. My biggest disappointment is not asking for a refund!!! One more thing, I was asked at the end of it did i mind if he took a photo of my hair for his portfolio. I said no i don't mind, as he didn't mention it was going on social media. I had no make up on and a plaster on my face after a recent illness so i didn't want it going elsewhere. About a week later the image is on instagram and my plaster face was filtered. Not impressed at all. Not at all. The only good thing about this place in my eyes now is they open early and close late so you can get a blow dry whatever time of the day.
