Best hair salon service I've ever received. Mark one of the owners was my stylist. He takes great care & time to make your hair color & style look amazing. Plus, he offered me magazines, tea & prosecco. Their is a room upstairs to relax in & the room to wash hair feels like a nightclub but relaxing at the same time. Must see! My coloring was amazing & he took a lot of time to color small strands of hair versus other stylist who are always in a hurry. The pricing may be slightly high but the amount of time & service spent makes you feel like you're getting a spa treatment so it's well worth the $$. I'll definitely return! read more

A salon that has the Wow Factor, hands down! From its vintage vibes, pretty decor and touches of glamour as soon as you walk through the door you feel you're in for a real treat. I was welcomed by Darren, he took my coat and kindly offered me a glass of prosecco and some nibbles- such a treat. The decor was simply Fab. Right up my street style wise. You couldn't help but feel you were somewhere special and about to feel relaxed. My hair stylist Carla brought me upstairs to the salon. Which was so pretty and I instantly knew this place was special. The staff seemed lovely, very chatty and welcoming. Very approachable and easy to talk too. The wash basins were in a side room off the salon itself and was really dark with a purple dim light, a lovely way to relax. I asked Carla for a natural loose curly blowdry and she hands-down gave me the best blowdry I've had in a very long time. It was fab. I've discussed getting my hair colour done with colour specialist Dawn who was very helpful, so ill definitely be booking in for that. Can't wait to come back again. What a lovely treat on a Tuesday evening, prosecco and a super bouncy curly blowdry! Now if only I had some where to go!! The salon itself is really stylishly decorated, exposed brick, gold framed mirrors and funky chairs. The dark room where they wash your hair is really relaxing and an unusual touch. I never knew the Crow Street Collective existed, they told me they only located here back in September. Very excited to be invited by Yelp for a blowdry. Now that I have been inside, I know I will be back. It's a really stylish salon, lovely and warm. The glass of prosecco was a nice little extra. I really felt like a VIP! The blowdry I got from Dawn made my hair feel and look 100% improved. Nice and straight, with a bit of bounce. I didn't know this place existed until I got invited to a Yelp event here and I'm damn sure glad I did. I was welcomed to my blow dry by the owner and my stylist Nikky who was ready to take my coat and lead me upstairs to where the magic happens. It is a small salon but so so gorgeous. Someone spent a lot of attention to detail on the interior. Very pretty indeed. After I explained what I wanted from my blow dry, Nikky offered me glass of bubbly and brought me straight over to the wash basin area. Instant relaxation kicked in. The area is tiled with small black tiles and lit very very dimly so it is very dark in there but in a really good way. My hair was quickly washed (there wasn't any head massage with it) and my stylist picked her weapons after she handed me a fashion mag (a recent one not one that's 6 months old). The total time I spent in there was 30mins which was pretty impressive. I left with recommendations for products, a compliment on my colour, a goodie bag and the most amazing blow dry I ever got. Thank you Crow Street Collective for a lovely Tuesday evening. It was by far the best wavy blow dry I have gotten in a long time. The Salon is so swanky and the staff are super friendly. The nicest part for me was the dark hair wash rooms, completely dark rooms with dimmed lights only over the hair wash basins. I nearly fell asleep I was that relaxed. My hairdresser was lovely and gave me some great color advise. I will definitely go back!!! read more

This is a review for the beautician, Ciara. I think she's called Primp & Pamper. A friend recommended her to me for a facial. My skin is getting progressively more in bits, by the day, and I was advised to do something about it. Now, facials don't last forever, but by God, this was good! I think I actually fell asleep at one point. And I might have been snoring too! Hopefully she took this as a sign of a happy customer. I forget the products that were used. Not cheap, I imagine. But I'll make it a more regular thing, considering how good I felt after it. It was definitely money well spent. This is obviously a hair salon too, but I didn't get my hair done with them. It's a beautiful space though - one of the cooler salons in the city centre, and they are a very warm bunch. My goal is to look 10 years younger by 2017. Ciara has her work cut out for her!!! Update (August 23rd): Ciara is no longer based here. I'm sad. Hello wrinkles! There seems to be no replacement therapist just yet. read more

I was here this evening and I was highly impressed. On entering I was greeted by Darren who took my coat and chatted with me until the hairstylist was ready. Very pleasant and friendly staff! The decor of the place is just fab with a big fireplace in the reception room with comfy leather sofas in front of the open fire, so cosy :) the salon is upstairs and the stylist that was looking after me came down to greet me before bringing me up. The salon is very chic, with a big sparkly chandelier hanging from the ceiling and beautiful mirrors all around the room. I was fascinated when my stylist brought me into the sinks to wash my hair....the room is fab! It's so dark with glittery black tiles and has pink LED lights that reflect off them. It's just so therapeutic, you'll have to go in and see for yourself! :) When I was getting my hair washed I got the most amazing head massage, i really could get used to that! After my hair was washed I was offered tea or coffee or prosecco so naturally I opted for the prosecco, it'd be rude not too, it came with strawberries and everything! I opted to get a curly blowdry, 'the bigger the better' and that's exactly what I got. The girl was absolutely lovely, gave some great tips on hair care, especially for me who gets lazy and throws a box dye in every now and again. I was so happy with my hair, she gave me exactly what I asked for and I will definitely be back again. :) read more

This was such a lovely treat of an event ! Was heartily welcomed upon arrival and promptly served a yummy glass of prosecco! The service was exceptional and I was really happy with my wash & blowdry . A lovely head massage during the wash and a real consultation-style blowdry. I have very fine hair and doesn't take too well to blow dries (I normally end up fixing my hair myself afterwards) but I was delighted with the extra care I received from the stylist Carla Rose. Disclaimer: I came here as part of a Yelp Event so I didn't pay for my hair cut but when I am due my next trip to the hair salon I am 100% coming back here. It is wonderful. The place is drop dead gorgeous and you feel so pampered just being inside. The staff are wicked fun and they are so knowledgable and on trend and confident in what they are doing. They really make you feel special and totally listen to what you need and want and they will do their best to give you the hair cut and / or colour of your dreams. My hair was a limp mess when I went in and when I came out if was like a whole new head of hair and I got a fringe. Last time I got a fringe was 9 years ago and I ended up in floods of tears as it was awful but Darren here cut me the most flattering and manageable fringe that worked perfectly with my hair type and my unruly widows peak! He really knows hair! I had the best night and it was such fun and I was dying to get home to write this glowing review. My own experience of the CSC is/was, sadly, at considerable variance with the other glowing posters. I had two appointments here for colour treatment/highlights/cut in November- December 2016. It's certainly very 'hip and happening' in terms of decor, the 'bubbly' atmosphere (and the bubbles in the glasses) and stylish coffee/sweets etc. However, I feel there is still a LOT of work to do with regard to customer-centredness, communication and service delivery. The service I received was actually pretty bizarre, and I wouldn't go back. My first appointment with Nikita was OK. She did the main colour to a professional standard on the face of it, and inserted the grey highlights, though the feeling was of things being a bit rushed at the end, and not enough time given to making sure I was satisfied with the outcome, correct aftercare etc etc. However, the grey highlights then turned blonde/coppery within a few days, which wasn't made clear by any means at the time. A product was used that I had understood helped to seal the colour in, which was then very differently described in my 2nd appt. So there were concerns to say the least until I got back there for the second event. My 2nd appointment a few weeks later for colour re-treatment and cut was a very strange saga indeed as it turned out. Nikita had called me a day or two before to check I was coming, as she (wrongly) claimed I had not shown up for the original appt. (which I rescheduled on their own website - something that the company's own reception then told me is a hit and miss process). She seemed in less than happy humour. After she and I had a fairly involved discussion about the treatment process, she then.bizarrely disappeared after what, I was told by the manager, was some kind of 'miscommunication'. No idea what happened as I was perfectly polite, and just animated and engaged about what I wanted to try to achieve. Darren then appeared, took over the cut, and I showed him a photo of what I wanted. He was perfectly pleasant, clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about his work, but, I felt, pretty much delivered the cut HE wanted, e.g. saying things like 'I've left it like that so it's not too short back and sides-ey'. I didn't feel there was any real dialogue going on with what I wanted, and the photo just turned into an afterthought. With long delays sitting in the chair with nothing happening and staff dealing with other customers, it also all took an extraordinary 3.5-4 hours, which I'd say is unacceptable and felt almost punitive.The total price for a full head re-colour (which I hadn't actually booked), plus toner, plus cut was an eye-watering 150 Euro! So, very expensive, very slow, and, with Nikita's behaviour, a bit of a sour taste in the mouth. I'd say the place is a triumph, to a great extent, of style over content. Some cultural self-examination in which they get back to basics (good customer-centred/led communication, listening skills, sorting out their technical issues etc.) would be a place to start. As it is, the whole operation doesn't feel that grounded, and glitzy/giddy rather than properly professional and satisfying. Anyway, you live and you learn - I hope the CSC can and will. read more

I made an appointment online and the response time was way quicker than even the website said it would be. I wanted, and got, an appointment early on a Saturday morning (before my flight) so that was great. My stylist was Kim and she was still busy with an earlier appointment but still managed to get me set up and listened to what i was after. When she got back to me (I'm sorry i have forgotten the other great stylists name who started my highlights) she was super attentive and even recommended products to help my super fine and thin hair. At the end of the appointment she even wrote down the colours i needed so that i could get my hair recreated when i got back home. I put off writing this review until i had tried her recommendations for my hair and i'm very pleased with everything she said. So many compliments when i got back into the office!
