I have a busy schedule so the front staff need to communicate better for bookings. I called three…read moredays in a row trying to schedule an appointment for a contact lens fitting. I understand them being too busy, the confusing part was they gave me a different quote and different timeframe each time I called. Maybe they didn't understand, but then I feel they should be able to ask questions or explain to me why they were confused. Finally 3rd day of calling I got an appointment but it was booked at a different time than I thought. Optometrists and assistants that help fit glasses were very friendly and helpful. But booking was a confusing nightmare. Maybe I talk too fast? Or don't know what kind of appointment I need. But I still feel they should be asking questions to figure this on their end.

The salesperson whose name was Angel helped him to find the right pair, the right size and length. When he was looking at himself in the mirror she insisted he needed to try on a pair of dress shoes. I have good service and decent advice but I could say that they could try and create a better ensemble accessory wise and suggestion wise. I could have easily spent more but just needed a prodding of sorts. Decent selection and always have a sale going on. They do honor work perks and other programs for discounts but make sure you have a bar code to scan at the very least. Spent a long time trying to get a discount only to hear that in Edmonton or Calgary they simply just do the discount as our company purchases lots of clothing at Moores. Was disappointed when I bought a travel bag and realized I could have used a 50% off coupon and as I had already purchased it they would not take the discount off even two days later after a coworker had informed me about the offer. Anyway decent for mid priced suit items. Clothing will wear out a bit faster I find but all in all I have good experiences here hence the returns by me!

There are a lot of horror stories floating around about this place and mine is one of them. But they tell me these guys canibalize everything. Which means the computer you buy, probably doesn't have the insides the body of the machine might indicate. My computer completely crashed on me and they couldn't get my stuff back. This was met with a curt, "oh, well, it'll happen again anyway'. That's what the manager told me. It was only after I contacted their head office in Calgary that I was satisfied. They fixed it and I haven't had a problem since (they get a mark for that). But these jokers in the Red Deer shop have to get their act together. They don't listen, they aren't helpful and they don't care. That's not how to do business these days. Avoid this place, but if you must, be very aware of what you're purchasing.

I had an italian stainless steel men's watch that I purchased in Japan which needed a new pin made…read morefor the wristband. Jenny and staff were extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with. they fixed the watch for less than half of what M&J charged(M&J's work did not last and later said they would be unable to fix it if the pin did not hold.) Polar Jeweller's response to needing a pin made was "no problem, it'll be ready tomorrow." and it was. Their work has held 6 months with no forseeable problems. I will be returning to Polar Jewellers for any future jewellry purchases(possibly an engagement&wedding ring ) as I feel very comfortable the price will be decent and backed by an extremely and knowledgable staff.
