Being African American I pride myself on trying to do business with my people this was a very very disappointing experience if you do not want to take a case say it in the beginning don't ghost people that are supposed to be your clients don't send them in circles don't hide from them don't avoid their calls don't pick up on other lines when they dial you from a number that you don't recognize invented them you were about to call them I would not recommend this law office to anyone who was serious about litigation who was serious about getting what was owed to them or what they deserved this company is not interested in that this company's ambulance chaser this company is all about the easy win and if they feel your case is not an easy win they will ghost you very disappointing in my opinion read more

I paid 5k up front and never heard that anything was wrong. Tried to call his office countless times but no reply. when I did get a hold of someone, they said he would call back, which never happened. After over 8 months of him being on this case, I called his office and his staff informed me that the payment never went through, however he did get the other monthly payments I was making. Odd, couldn't you have told me that there was an issue with the retainer sooner than 8months? I tried to reach out to his office countless more times as well as the Ga BAR association, however nothing has come of it. All I can say is be careful with this man, he will gladly talk a good talk to take your money and then never reach back out to you. I will continue to fight this fight, because as I have read, this has not only happened to me, but many others. if he chooses to reply, I will be glad to talk, until then, my opinion stands and this fight is far from over. read more

Attorney Mccalep is rude, ill-mannered and an unkind person who I would not recommend to ANYONE. He along with his assistant Chanel who I'm assuming is a "paralegal". He advised that I hastily make a police report and when I called the next day for clarity he twisted my words around re: all information I provided both him and his assistant. This further proves that he is dishonest and or simply doesn't listen during consultations/initial calls. I am in no business to file police reports just to potential sue an entity. Clearly, Mccalep lacks dignity, professionalism and even more, CLASS. Instead of being kind, he decided to be abrupt and hang up on me not once but twice. Initially, I was reluctant to pursue his services as during my first call he hung up the phone in my face after mumbling a few words that were unclear. I opted to give this black attorney a second chance as I figured perhaps it was a mistake. Today proved this is something he does when he's not "in the mood", I supposed. My encounters further proves why many are hesitant to pursue black businesses for the same reason I would not recommend Mccalep--blatantly disrespectful. Attorney Timothy McCalep did exactly what he promised. Family members were charged with felony drug charges and placed in jail. After much prayer and the initial shock of the situation. I located Attorney Timothy McCalep on line. The Family members were home within 24hrs. Attorney McCalep was able to get the case against one family member dismissed. The other family member received probation with community service, He promised that the family member would not get jail time, and they did not. Attorney McCalep was always responsive and answered all my questions. I recommend Attorney McCalep for any situation, that you feel may be hopeless. read more

I had left a review for this office before about how they showed little to no care about my accident case. This is the second review that I'm writing because their secretary: David should not be working with people; let alone a law office. I fired this law office; due to unprofessionalism and lack of contact. I called the office after my review and asked David if he could send me my case file or at least email me a copy of my dismissed ticket. I was not prepared for his response; which was: "Well if you take that review down; I can have it to you by the end of the day." That's writer a person that is employed by a law office tried to bribe me; in order for me to get my documentation. Honestly...I was going to let it go, but it's been a month since that discussion and still no case file was sent to me or my attorneys; as I requested. I would not send my dog to this law office for a case or even to use the bathroom. They are unprofessional from the top to the bottom. I even found out that Attorney McCalep had to answer to the bar because of an incident involving him taking a client to a hotel earlier in his career. Timothy was beyond amazing. Very professional and most of all understanding. He's affordable and most importantly effective. I contacted him at the last minute to represent my husband as I didn't know he needed a lawyer. Timothy came in and got the charges reduced, and helped my husband avoid jail time. I would definitely recommend and use him again. He genuinely cares about the outcome of his clients and is not money hungry. In my personal opinion he's the best in Atlanta. read more
