I truly am not a fan of the National flowers shops, they have so many fees. They pass these fees onto the customer and onto the florist. When I need flowers sent, I check the local florists to keep them afloat. For many years I was going to EJ Florist in Nanticoke (I grew up there) until they closed their doors a few years ago. I still have family in Nanticoke home in Nanticoke that I send flowers too. I started calling Kathy and she has always done a wonderful job with sending flowers, the arrangements are spectacular! And every year I send my stepmother a hanging basket that she puts on her back porch and enjoys the whole summer! I just received a call from my stepmother and she said that this basket is the most beautiful she had ever received, it has numerous types of flowers and is huge! For my wedding I got my bouquet, corsages, boutonnieres and a special corsage for my dog to wear on her harness at McCarthy Flowers. Kathy was so helpful and took my order on even though I booked with only two weeks to go! The bouquet was absolutely stunning and looked ever better than my inspiration photo. I received a plant sent by my Mom for my birthday. The plant and the pot are beautiful! Customer service is outstanding! First, my Mom had the day wrong and had to contact them to attempt delivery for the next day. They were already closed but emailed her anyway and promised delivery the next day. Then she didn't have my work address, but McCarthy Flower Shop figured it out anyway. Great plant delivered promptly and superb customer service. You cannot ask for anything more. read more

Issue with two unfriendly staff members and quality of flowers. First person I spoke to did not take my order correctly. When I called to ask for a refund, I was told the owner insisted on remaking the order, which was very nice, except that the person I spoke to told me in no uncertain terms that I was inconveniencing her by "making" her drive to Bear Creek, and that she was being forced to replace the flowers by the owner who says "the customer is always right." She also tried to dissuade me from having the arrangement replaced by telling me the new arrangement would not look as full as the first. I told her didn't understand this, as I had paid $45 for 6 roses and an extra $10 for blue delphinium and snap dragons to fill out the arrangement, and I expected it to be beautiful. The second arrangement included 6 cheap looking roses with some purple flowers (not blue delphinium) and a lot of unattractive greenery. It was an embarrassment. I paid over $70 including delivery and I am extremely disappointed. read more

Nice little flower shop. The staff is great and willing to answer questions to help make something beautiful within your budget. One of my favorite things is walking in here because it always smells so beautiful. It feels like you're in a garden, but with air conditioning. We have sent multiple bouquets from them and they are the only place I'll use in the future. read more

Absolutely amazing customer service! I called today to have flowers delivered to my mother in law for her birthday. I was nervous because I live all the way in California and she lives out in Pennsylvania. Not only did they make ordering and paying over the phone a breeze but the flowers were delivered so fast!! I wanted to send flowers to my mother and grandmother for their Birthday. I live 3000 miles away and thought it might be a good idea to use somewhere local. When I initially ordered the flowers I messed up the address (twice) Rick's response to me doing so was very unprofessional and he made me feel awful for it. When I mailed him to change the address his response to me was 'WOW' Unprofessional? Ya I think so....! I'm paying you for your service you are not paying me. They also left the flowers on the front porch and they were almost stolen. I had to pay an additional 20 dollars to have them delivered could at least make sure someone is home. Never again!
