U-haul texted me to cancel our reservation less than 48 hours prior to Memorial Day weekend 2026…read more We made the reservation in January. We were unable to reach anyone on the phone. We ended up having to rent from Penske for more than 3x the original amount. The WORST customer service ever. And the Penske rep said they routinely get these kinds of reservations because U-haul does not actually guarantee your reservation despite collecting a reservation fee. NEVER RENT FROM U-HAUL. We certainly won't. Not sure how they are still in business.

These guys were super-friendly. In comparison to another CVille UHaul location (which will probably…read morego nameless because I don't want to be hunted), this office was a breath of fresh air. Ironically you will need a car (or a friend with a car) to get to a place where you can rent a truck, which is pretty much the case in most suburban areas. This location is up on 29 a ways, near the Putt-Putt mini-golf course. They generously added some miles to compensate for the fact that our closer location was out of trucks. It seems that UHaul locations are all sort of run independently, and a lot of times they don't collaborate, or don't want to collaborate, with each other. The staff here was patient and answered all our questions and did a walk-through inspection with us. Only after we were on the road did we realize that the radio was completely broken, and one of the rear backup lights was shot. I wasn't doing too much backing up, but 8 hours with no radio, no CD player, no MP3 port and not even a cassette slot!? That was miserable. I don't wish it on anyone. So my advice is, check to see if you have a radio. Oh and our visors were nonexistent, and we found that on our own just before we left the lot, so it wasn't caught in inspection. It's an easy thing to miss. Fortunately we had sunglasses and hats. The truck was actually in pretty good quality and not rickety or bumpy as we had expected. The other piece of advice I'll give is to ask for some extra miles when you call the national number. We just barely squeaked by, because they don't really count pit stops and getting lost in the total. I would have been more comfortable with an extra 20-30 miles, and for them, that's very little to part with, so I'd push for that. Avoid peak move times if at all possible. One of the other CVille locations told us that even though we had paid for a reservation, it did not guarantee that the truck was going to be there for us. (Seinfeld anyone?) Sheesh! I'd recommend the staff at the Putt-Putt U-Haul to anyone who wants a hassle-free truck rental experience.

ABOVE & BEYOND RENTAL EXPERIENCE!…read more I recently rented a truck from the Woodbridge Enterprise Truck Rental location to support a family move from DC to Dallas. From the initial phone call to my interaction with the team after I returned the vehicle, everything was top-notch. I worked with account specialist Jeremy who helped me understand the rental process, worked to determine what kind of pick-up I needed and the rental and return process. He was knowledgeable in helping me understand the ins and out of the "larger than expected" pick-up and how the fee/billing process was going to work. When I returned the vehicle, I had some minor damage from a hit and run and Jeremy worked with me to understand the repair, insurance, and enterprise policies and process. His time and work helped make a tense process, smooth. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Mr. Eric Williams, who serves as the manager there. Mr. Williams really helped make my rental experience much more than satisfactory. He was friendly, engaging, and really worked with me to ensure the process was smooth. He even helped me with the installation and operation of the adapter and tow-ball I needed for the journey and move. Most of all when we were working through the damage and repair process, Mr. Williams not only helped me understand the process, but helped select the proper category to ensure that not only the vehicle was repaired, but that the situation was equitable for both the business and myself. I will definitely rent from Enterprise again and specifically this location so I can work with both Jeremy and Mr. Williams again. If you need a truck rental, check them out.

Avoid doing business with these crooks! I was returning a Budget Rental Truck to this location,…read moreafter renting the truck in NYC. First, these guys didn't want to detach the car tow dolly because they didn't have room to store it. Then, they tried to charge me for a cleaning fee and dents to the old truck! (The truck had 130K miles on it, tons of dents and scratches and a dashboard secured together with duct tape.) I was only able to avoid the bogus charges because the Budget Truck folks in NYC faxed paperwork to them and spoke to them proving that the truck was old & had damages to it prior to my renting it. These guys were trying anything they could to make an extra buck. Thank goodness for the great team in NYC that saved me!

Unbelievably poor. We rented 2 trucks for a weekend move and they didn't have them and notified us…read more1 hour before we were supposed to pick them up. While trying to resolve the problem, the person handling us at New Baltimore truck and rental was unbelievably arrogant and put her own personal issues above the consumer's problem. She was more interested in making the consumer bend to her issues than solving any problem. I ended up storming out without my problem even being heard. Budget finally got us the 2 trucks a day late and 35 miles away. We had to go pick them up and return them at the distant location. There was no offer to discount because of the poor service. In fact we had to pay for a day more than we would have normally plus additional fuel (about $70.00 for the 2 24 ft trucks). We ended up losing time at work and significant money(we're not salaried ... over $300.00) Stay away .... If you use them and have a problem, you have been warned. Dave Bowen
