Just wanted to warn any potential customers of the shady business dealings of this company. My…read morebrother bought an injector pump from them and it wasn't working correctly because it was dumping too much fuel. He called the owner who told him to bring his truck to him and he would adjust the injector pump timing and any other adjustment necessary to make it run right for $120 and make sure he was a happy customer. My brother decided to trek all the way there (a good 2 hours away) given the talk of the owner. He wanted to give him the business and felt the guy would do right by him. So he took off a day from work, drove there, and that was where all good customer service ended. After 6 hours of waiting, Mel picked him up from a local mall and told him he couldn't fix all of it, the bolts were too tight for the TPS and he didn't turn down the injector pump. He did adjust the injector pump timing and now the cost would be $275! When questioned about the extra fee, Mel gave him all sorts of guilt talk about how he was giving him such a good deal etc. He said it took longer to adjust the injector pump timing because those bolts were too tight. He never called him to ask permission to increase the costs, or even inform him of the difference in fees until the work was done. It had now been an entire work day - so he paid him and drove home. The inside of the truck was covered in grease. By the time he got home he was really irritated by the more than doubling in price. He called Mel and they compromised on a refund of $75. He never did that. My brother called his credit card company who said Mel then did all sorts of new paperwork to justify the fees. In sum, he outright lied on the refund. He lied on the estimate for pricing. IF you do business with Conestoga Diesel, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!! In that writing, specify that any changes in estimate needs to be authorized by you. This guy is not on the level. Do not give him the benefit of the doubt.

From their pumps to their service, you will always get exactly what you need! I purchased a mini-moose fuel injection pump from them and my 1985 F-250 runs as good as it ever has. I have also come across other issues with injectors and fuel lines that Mel was nice enough to get on the phone and talk to me. If you want the best quality with service that matches their products, use Conestoga.

I contacted him due to a "check engine" light which had me concerned; I found Mission Mobile Mechanics under "best mechanics in my area," and although his business was closed as it was late Saturday afternoon he arranged for me to go to his business and met me there and resolved my problem. I can't imagine around who would do that for an unknown customer.
