The ponds on the loop we walked on have lots of pond scum, granted they could be going for a less manicured look here but the presence of water foul would clean the ponds up naturally which it was devoid of. There are sectors on the loop having plants brought from various parts of the world but nothing seemed very distinctive other than the signs indicating what the species of plant or tree was. I'm sure climate plays a big role in Western Idaho compared to Western Washington so those factors need to be considered if you are looking for an arboretum of a more dramatic type.

We love to come see the trees blossoming in spring (and the baby ducks/geese!) and then we visit again to see the colorful leaves in the fall. There are two ways to access the Arb - you can park by the U of I golf course for the north entrance or by the barn on Palouse River Drive on the southern end. Dogs are not allowed on the grounds.

The Museum has a lot of very historical information about the Nez Perce Tribe and their story, and is located in historical downtown Lewiston Idaho. Mary E. White Romero the Museum Curator was so nice and friendly as she welcomed us to the Museum. The Museum has permanent and rotating exhibits reflecting the rich history of the county. It also has an extensive photo collection, Museum Store, Library, Picnic Area, and Free Parking. The Heritage House Historical Society building is also located next door to the Nez Perce Museum for your viewing pleasure.

I liked that the seats aren't in one single long row like typical theatres but are broken up into smaller sections (no more interruptions when other people need to scoot by to use the restroom/leave. The pre-movie ads are actually pleasant and they don't delay the start time of the movie. The theatre has cute lights in the shape of flowers on the ceiling and I believe there are vintage movie posters on the back wall. The facilities seemed clean from what I saw. They don't show the latest releases but do have some recognizable movies (ex: they're showing 80s movies on Tuesdays right now and will be showing Whiplash later this year I think). The Confucius Institute at U of I also screens Chinese movies here sometimes. I only paid $6 for my ticket...very reasonably priced! The audio was a bit too loud (only noticeable when the soundtrack of the movie came on) but other than that, I had a great experience. I'll definitely be back for more shows. Add them on Facebook for the latest updates! Also, you can rent their marquee space for things like birthday wishes, proposals, etc...such a cute idea!

The employees are always friendly and it's also nice to see the goats, chickens, and some other birds outside. Wadleigh is a small theatre that I estimate to seat about 150 (but don't quote me on that!). Most of the shows I've seen in Wadleigh have been the WSU Nuthouse Improv Comedy shows. The layout allows for an interactive, intimate show. The Jones Theatre has more of a stage-audience distinction. This one seats about 400 comfortably. What's nice is that the aisles are wide enough that you aren't mugging the person you are attempting to pass. The shows I've seen in this theatre are more plays and music concerts. I actually recently saw Baxter Black there. A cowboy poet with humor who led a very conversational and congenial performance! Daggy's a neat building though. In the afternoons you can often hear the STAGE people messing around and it's pretty fun to listen to!
