Went to see War of the Planet of the Apes and got there about 10 minutes early. Thought it was odd…read morethat there was no picture, but the sound for the commercials played for about 5 minutes then silence and no video for 10 minutes (yes 5 minutes past the movie start time) so I went to the front and asked what was going on with the movie. They proceeded to tell me that they had to restart the projector and it would be 10 more minutes. I asked why they hadn't told the audience, but no response. After about 8 minutes, the projector started working. It got through the previews and then again, no video - just audio. I went back to the counter to find 3 of the employees looking at one of their phones. I asked again and was told that they will have to restart the projector again. No apologies, nothing for 20 minutes of silence. Had to ask for a refund. Bottom line: just drive to Pullman. Don't waste your time with Eastside

I liked that the seats aren't in one single long row like typical theatres but are broken up into smaller sections (no more interruptions when other people need to scoot by to use the restroom/leave. The pre-movie ads are actually pleasant and they don't delay the start time of the movie. The theatre has cute lights in the shape of flowers on the ceiling and I believe there are vintage movie posters on the back wall. The facilities seemed clean from what I saw. They don't show the latest releases but do have some recognizable movies (ex: they're showing 80s movies on Tuesdays right now and will be showing Whiplash later this year I think). The Confucius Institute at U of I also screens Chinese movies here sometimes. I only paid $6 for my ticket...very reasonably priced! The audio was a bit too loud (only noticeable when the soundtrack of the movie came on) but other than that, I had a great experience. I'll definitely be back for more shows. Add them on Facebook for the latest updates! Also, you can rent their marquee space for things like birthday wishes, proposals, etc...such a cute idea!

The screen is big enough and I was told that this theater has a super Dolby Atmos sound system (so you'll feel the floor rumbling lol!). In addition, they charge 12 years and up as adults yet, those same being charged as adults need an actual adult (18 yr old) to accompany them to a R rated film. You would think that with all that profit margin they would at least keep a comfortable temperature in the place. It was cold as hell in our movie. This all re-affirm waiting for it to come on tv. There is absolutely NO social outlets (except CHURCH or wine tasting) here - you will be bored out of your minds. Poor healthcare, no social amenities.
