The young lady at the front desk was very unhelpful when I came in to ask for an appointment. I believe she said her name was Lauren. She didn't seem to know much of anything about the basics of hair, and could not comprehend what I needed to get done. Training needs to be for everyone, even those who aren't actually working with hair. She was dressed unprofessionally, unlike every other woman I saw working there, and I could smell her poor dental hygiene. I ended up walking out without an appointment. We walked in at 4 and they asked us to come back an hour later (they don't normally do walk-ins, I think). It was only $12 too, so it was cheaper than Supercuts and infinitely better. This is a hidden gem. I have a somewhat unusual haircut and the owner has been amazing in getting it exactly how I want it. It's cheap, fast, and beautiful inside. The wooden floors and sunny windows make it feel homey. It doesn't smell bad (or like chemicals) like most salons, though I bring my own shampoo and products because I'm sensitive. I still have Glamourama do my complex dye job, but they are SO slow about everything. I hate getting my hair cut, so quick is good. Try these guys. If you're nervous about a cheap salon ask for the owner, Heather McCoy. Also, a friend had chest surgery last year and couldn't shower. The people at McCoy's place washed her hair a few times a week for free. A real kindness. Cash or local check only, but there is an ATM in the store next door. read more

Im a guy but I like a very high tight fade with no hair on the sides, other places just cut as tight as the clippers will go and call it good, here they have balding clippers that get me right to skin as if I did it with a razor, it saves me money on haircuts because I can go less often and still have the clean cut look for longer, plus the people are super nice, professional and quick, if you call and make an appointment you'll rarely wait at all and if you do its less then 5 minutes. The worst leg wax. Big stripes of hair left on my legs and the wax didn't actually pull the hair out of my legs, it broke it off at skin level, leaving me with literally hundreds of in-grown hairs which pock-marked my legs for months. read more

Stylist straight up ignored my requests, did her own thing and cut all my hair off. I told the hair dresser specifically what I wanted. I showed her a picture - shoulder length in the back, don't cut the front. I had really long hair... I walked out of there with a straight up chin length bob all the way around. We went over this two or three times before she started cutting and this is literally NOTHING like what I asked for. And, quite frankly, its an atrocious chin length bob as well. She didn't thin it at all, it's just triangular. I'm going somewhere else tomorrow to see if I can fix this, but this is complete nonsense. read more

I have been wanting to take my sons here for haircuts. They get clipper cuts so low maintenance. I had seen a sign for $10 hair cuts. The went up to $12. Today I paid $14. For a clippers cut. I can understand if they had a wash,dry or wet it. They were in the chair for 10 min. Then when I went to cash out, my bill $28.00 I was going to use my debt card. They won't use it. There is a $40.00 minimum. So needless to say I won't be returning. read more

She listens to what I ask for, unlike many hair stylists I've had, and is also very friendly and personable. I've been able to set up appointments easily and they also do take walk-ins.
