I would be remiss if I didn't leave a review after the service I received today. I searched online…read moreearlier this week for companies that repair siding. This was my first time having to get any repairs done on my house that I couldn't fix myself. One of the companies got back to me and said I needed a contractor. I get online this morning searching for contractors, hoping I was going down the right path. I find several and reached out to them. Less than 2 hours later Vince had already replied to get the ball rolling. I sent pictures of the damage and what I needed done. I didn't expect him to have any availability until next week, since it was the weekend and already late in the afternoon at this point. Vince called me up and said a storm was coming and if I was available he could come by and fix it, since he didn't want the rain to possibly cause any more damage. The amount of professionalism, efficiency and knowledge I received from Vince made me feel as though he actually cared. He explained what he was doing, the tools he was using, the behind the scenes on how construction crews put up siding, the spacing, and the measurements for it. Some companies would have just fixed it and not said anything leading you to wonder what was wrong with it to begin with. Vince made sure I understood, I almost feel like I can do contracting work now (probably just holding a ladder). The work was done quickly even though at that point had it taken longer than an hour I wouldn't have been mad. Overall Vince was a pleasure to work with, I'm grateful for his work, and expediency especially when he explained how his wife had to be hospitalized and maneuvering around that and work. I would definitely recommend him for any future home improvements!

Requested an estimate to install vinyl panels to finish off a screen porch ceiling. Received a call from a representative and we discussed the job. The representative said he fully understood what I wanted and set an appointment for the next day (Saturday) to come out to take measurements and provide a sample of the materials they would propose to use. I agreed to meet him at his schedule since I told him I would be home. He said he would call ahead as to when he would come. Waited all day Saturday with my phone nearby so as not to miss his call. Waited until close of normal business (5:00 PM) he never called and did not show up. No way I will give this company my business, wasted a whole Saturday without even getting a courtesy call.

A senior level employee from Ream Roofing Inc gave me a good price to replace roof, materials, and waste removal so I went with him trusting that the same level of quality his company would give would transfer over to my roof. Boy was I wrong and after 3 years the one section of the roof has leaked2 times. I tried calling the person that put the roof on from Ream Roofing who is now a supervisor/manager but he will not return my calls to fix roof. The bottom line is if this is what you can expect from Ream Roofing Inc I would stay far away. My experience with American Remodeling started at the Corvettes of Carlisle show where a…read moresalesperson gave me a flyer for discount. We had been talking about remodeling our main bathroom shower for years, and finally decided to pursue the job with this company. We thought "Bald Nick" as he called himself, was a fairly good salesperson, and so we signed a contract with the company thinking we were going to get a great product, a good construction crew (not subs but their own staff) and we would be thrilled with the outcome. Well, the crew was great and did a very professional job all the way through. But what we ordered and what we got are night and day, and we totally are disappointed with the end result. We talked about a white base for the shower, but then I told "B. Nick" that no we wanted it to match the beautiful colored walls that we chose. We needed to look at the fine print on the contract. And the crew worked with the door closed, bringing items in from the garage to the bathroom so we didn't see the white base until the walls were all installed. We ordered a rain drop glass shower door that would open wide like our previous door so at our ages we could be prepared for a shower chair and wheelchair access at the outside of the shower. No, they didn't tell us they didn't have it and the crew began to install a sliding clear glass door that would have been horrible. Luckily we caught that just after the installed the metal rails. They took the rails out, filled the holes so they could still be seen, and left after a conversation with the York office team. And the crew told us our door couldn't be ordered and we'd have to accept what they had. No way for a job that cost over $20,000!!! So the Corporate contact said yes the door could be ordered, and we would have it within a week. We have another shower to use so that was not an issue. But then the company had the crew drive almost 2 hours to go to Lowes, pick up a shower bar, shower curtain and clips to put in our shower for the week until the door appeared. Low and behold the door we got has the raindrop but it is not a wide door, but one on swivel hinges and extends almost a foot into the shower itself when it opens. Again, not what we were presented when "B. Nick" was selling us the product, not what we saw in his materials, and not what he guaranteed when he looked at our old shower set up that we would have in the new door. Another "bait and switch" contractor, another very disappointing experience. Do we like what we have now..... of course as it is an improvement. Do we love what we have now to give a five star rating to this company? Absolutely not. Beware and check every piece of materials you believe you have ordered before it gets installed. Again, our installer crew was fabulous. But it was not what we ordered, and not what we wanted in the end.

I'm…read moreable to testify to this company because after seeing family and neighbors use other companies resulting in issues, I strayed away from the one ones they used and found Grace Roofing in my own. Here's the experience I had: Responded quickly to inquiries. Pleasant and easy to speak with. Provided a fair price coupled with a quality product. Arrived EXACTLY at the time they said they'd come. NOW this part is important: He uses a "catch all" .... it's netting like material that is placed all around the house to catch any debris that falls off the roof...then, after job completion, they walk the property thoroughly with magnets in case any nails get past the " catch all." My roof was done 2 - 3 months ago and I haven't found one nail or piece of debris! When my sister had her roof done by a different company, we collected nails for 3 years !!!!! Believe me, you don't want nails in your driveway or tires. I am not related to Grace Roofing but I am a very satisfied customer, otherwise I wouldn't be texting such a detailed review.
