I purchased it from Sanford Sewing, was taught how to use it (a joy since I am long term sewer but new to quilting!) My machine goes back for a "visit" when it needs a tune up or a thorough cleaning. The machinists are top at their craft. They not only maintain my Destiny 2 but have worked on my serger and my other sewing machine brands as well! When you need a new sewing foot, a variety of needle sizes, machine parts. quilting patterns, fat quarters, themed or holiday fabric designs, quilting rulers, battings, and thread, thread, thread, it is all in one place, Sanford Sewing! Last, but by no means least, is the group of employees who truly know everything about fabrics, sewing, quilting, coordinating colors, and long arm sewing! They know their business when it comes to sewing, quilting, or guidance! And they do it all with a genuine kindness and passion that makes each patron feels special and appreciated. The store was full of gorgeous canvases many of which are designed by the owner and stitch painted. They are breathtaking. There are several rooms plus one whole room devoted just to threads. The owner, Mary Jo, was a wealth of needlepoint knowledge and eager to share. I chose a beautiful Maine inspired belt designed by Mary Jo. It is the perfect souvenir of a trip to Maine. Although I live 3 hours away I will return often to shop here and also call and have things sent to me. I left still drooling over all the canvases that are available only here.

I made a phone call to the shop and offered to take photos and email them to get an idea of cost but was turned down. I was told to send my canvases UPS to the shop which I did. A few days later I received a phone call and we discussed the finishing. Then I was told the cost would be a $168 for the simpler of the two ornaments . I said "no thanks" and was charged $20 to return my small canvases. I have had similar ornaments finished for $40. This may be a lovely brick and mortar store but their finishing costs are staggering.
