Probably the worst mcdonalds, food wise, I've ever been to. More importantly, it also seems like a terrible place to work, for anyone thinking of getting a job here. The employees are constantly berated and treated terribly by managers, who are also treated terribly by their district manager, a woman named Tammy, who makes derogatory remarks to employees and puts them down rather than being helpful and encouraging. Dining options are somewhat limited in Abilene on a Monday evening at 8:30 since many restaurants are closed on Mondays and others tend to close around 8:30 or 9:00. So, we were cruising the main drag looking for fast food and end up at this McDonald's after a bad experience at another fast food restaurant. It was our good fortune to end up here since this was a very nice, very clean and very efficient McDonald's. My wife was craving a salad and their grilled chicken salad hit the spot. I went for the crispy chicken sandwick (with fries, of course) and it was excellent. The fries were piping hot. The staff was all pleasant and engaging / the service was prompt and efficient. The food is good they just mess up my order a lot when I go and when ever I go there is this man I think his name tag said John but he just kept staring at me and pointing and whenever I eat there he watches me eat and it makes me really uncomfortable I've seen him work at Burger King before and I was glad he left but then he went to McDonald's and now I don't go there as much because of him. read more

I ordered 2 drinks 10 pcs and 4 sandwiches an average person would be ok with 5-15 min curb side pick up times I waited 30 min to have my food brought to me at about 25 min in he asked me if I had the two drinks in my order I said yes and he gave me those and went back to grab the food. The food was the wrong order I had to knock on the window telling him that this was the wrong order and he restarted my order so he brought it out and requested the wrong order bag back so I gave it to him. I don't want the guy fired or anything happen to the server but seriously McDonald's 30 mins and I didn't get any kind of discount or keep the wrong bag like seriously read more

This is hands down the WORST McDonald's I've ever been to. I've seen the managers yelling at employees in front of customers, forgotten orders, and employees and managers being downright unhelpful. My experience today took the cake though. I was going to place two orders (one for my husband, and another for me), but was having trouble with the mobile app processing my payment on my first order, the one for my husband. I was getting an error for some reason. I then tried to place the order at the counter instead, but my card was getting declined. I thought this was strange because I knew I had money in my account. When I checked my account, I had a zero balance! The app had charged me several times even though the order hadn't completed due to the error. When I brought this to the manager's attention his response was just to say he doesn't know anything about the app, and I'd have to take it up with my bank. He finally decided to give me my first order since I had paid for it (several times), but refused to give me my second order even though I'd already been charged multiple times, and we're not talking a high dollar order here. My second order was a dollar burger and a drink. The manager said, "I can't give that to you without some fiduciary compensation." When I told him that he had received it, several times, he just said that I could come back when my bank gives me a refund. So in summary, I got charged multiple times for my husband's meal, and the only way I got to eat anything was my husband cutting his sandwich in half to share it with me. Multiple charges, and neither of us got to eat a full sandwich. I've never seen a fast food manager be so unwilling to do anything to make a situation right. We will NEVER go back to this McDonald's, and I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. read more

I was on a road trip thru the Mid East and was coming back. As you may know there is nothing located in Kansas but there was a McDonald's so me and my gang stopped for lunch. When we entered I noticed all the morbidly obese people in line. Kansas may be empty but there is no shortage of true American fatness. I stood in line. All of a sudden I found myself squished against the wall. An obese man must not have seen me and cut me in line and squished me against the wall. I tried to move but I couldn't. His back fat was crushing my oxygen supply and I could feel his fat rolls consuming my body!!! I cried for help but no one heard my family was in the bathroom no one could save me now. I was slipping down and found myself in the Grand Canyon butt crack! I prayed to God to deliver me from this! I felt his deep voice yell 5 hamburgers. He was ordering. PLEASE GOD PLEASE I cried suddenly I saw my cousin I waved my now purple hand at her as a last resort. She ran to me and and pulled. HES TOO FAT i cried. The tears were flowing down my cheeks was this my down fall? To be drowned in a mans back fat!? NO I cried my uncle saw my purple face and he grabbed my arms and pulled me out I caught my breath. The morbidly obese man looked at me with his order and said oh are you alright? I passed out and had to be taken to the hospital.
