A must stop destination when in the area! The Creole Gouda burger is phenomenal and the cheese curds are out of this world! Always great service, consistently delicious food, and a fun little diner-ish feel. Definitely worth the detour off the interstate.

I met family in Empora at Do-B's based off of Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! This is a solid old school diner and literally everything on the menu is good. From milkshakes to po-boys, you will love your meal here. I knocked it down one star for two reasons: it's a small place so seating is at a premium! I didn't notice this from other reviews so if you have a big group, this probably isn't the place for you, or you may want to consider carry out. Also, the restrooms are on the exterior of the building. Granted, they are clean, but with a toddler and dodging freezing rain the day we visited, it was a massive drag to have to ask for a key and then trudge outside, dodging cold rain to use the restroom. To make matters worse someone on the stairwell above us poured a TON of dirty water right in front of where you wait and we nearly got drenched. So, that literally put a damper on the experience (pun intended!). At any rate, I'd 100% return the food is incredible, the people nice, and the ambiance is clean and nostalgic.

Don't let its sophomoric name fool you, Do-B's is a legit place, and if you decide to dine in, please bring your appetite with you. It's an old school diner influenced place. The menu includes a few burgers, cheese steaks (some are loose interpretations,) po boys, wings and other assorted sandwiches and sides. There's a small space on the menu for a group of salads if you're trying to eat healthy. They might be your only option. I went with The Hornet, which is two 6 oz burgers topped with jalapenos, grilled onions, mushrooms, bacon and four slices of cheese. Perfectly cooked, super tasty and filling. Simply amazing. I highly recommend. The restaurant itself is a bit difficult to navigate at first, but is perfectly acceptable when you get the hang of things. You place your order at the front register and get a number. It's a bit confusing because there isn't really a place for a line, so everybody kind of congregates together. The dining room fills up quickly, however, even though there's a wait, the room turns over fairly well, so a table should open up in time for you to receive your food. Outside seating is available surrounding and behind the restaurant, if you're interested. A random note, the owners are disc golf fans. From time to time, usually a couple of times a day, they will go in the parking lot and let their diners attempt to make a "putt". A "putt" is when you throw a disc toward a chain hole constructed across the lot. If any diner makes the putt, he or she will receive a discounted or free meal.

The service was very helpful and friendly. I really like the fact that all of the food is a special recipe. I get so tired of chain restaurants, and this is locally owned. I really like to support local businesses. The restaurant has some really cool souvenirs. The design of the restaurant is really cool, and comfortable.

This place was amazing. The burger was absolutely perfect! Fries were really good too. Talked to the owner a bit and he was very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Super burgers. But when purchasing a loaded one the salt tends to pile up and be a little overwhelming.

It's very solid, and to tell some things that are not inherent to the average Emporia resident, there is both a cash and student discount!

It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. The brand of root beer probably to blame. Coming back home, we stopped again. Same Butterfinger Shake, but this time I wanted something with chocolate in it and ended up with a medium Cherry Mudslide. First, I can't imagine getting a larger (although I probably will next time haha) because the medium is pretty big considering how much toppings are included. It was probably the best ice cream treat I've ever had. I seriously might have to drive back to Spangles to get it again (probably not, but definitely will find Spangles when I'm out and about again and order the same thing). One star off for how messy it was when it was handed to me. I'm in a car with all this goop flowing out because the put the lid on with cherries and stuff on the rim of the cup. I ended up basically making a diaper out of 100 napkins to protect myself and the car.

I tried the Minute Maid lemonade , and it was super fresh and delicious. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms , which is a big plus . And the ice cream was amazing ! Definitely a 5‑star experience and I'll be coming back

Instead of helping me work through the mistake, another employee jumped on the mic and acted like a complete jerk. At that point, I'd had enough. I left without ordering any food. Honestly, save yourself the frustration -- just go across the street to McDonald's where at least you'll get treated with basic respect. This location is an absolute trainwreck when it comes to customer service.

First off, why are there not Braum's in KC?! Consider this an official plea to come up North!…read more This is the last Braum's on my trip back home from seeing family down South, so I always have to stop. This location is right off the highway and a constant temptation. You've been warned. The staff are always friendly and the food is always yummy - especially their frozen yogurt and ice cream. Great prices too. The only issue is that it is always super busy and the wait time can be a challenge. If you're in a rush, maybe don't do the drive through and if you want to sit down, good luck finding a table/booth during peak meal hours. Other than that, this place is a gem.
