As we were finishing up washing our hands and went to the hand dryer to make room for her to wash her hands , only one sink, she came out of the stall and went directly back to the kitchen. Sunday 5/17 7:46 Horrible experience I pull in and 4 workers are outside the front sitting on top of the tables outside (with their bottoms on the table tops) smoking cigarettes. I decide to hit the drive thru because I'd rather not eat where someone just has their backside and the order taker mumbled welcome to McDonald. That's it. So I took that as I order now and she half mumbled my order back to me, I couldn't understand so I just went with it. No shocker my order was messed up and the employees out front were still smoking their cigarettes doing nothing. Over all there speed is retry good. It's fast food so really not the cleanest could work on the comes to the men's bathroom. Overall good customer service, good communication, pretty friendly people. read more

This McDonald's is off I-20, and it either needs more employees or employees who care about their restaurant. Service was slow, which caused a lone line, even though many customers who walked in quickly walked right back out after seeing how long the line was. Food preparation was slow. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my food, only to open up my Big Mac box to find a large burn hole in the bun. How does THAT happen? lol. It didn't affect the flavor of the bread. Fries were good. The unsweetened iced tea dispenser was empty, so I had to go to the counter, which turned into another 5 minutes to get my cup filled by one of the employees. While I was eating, I actually kept track of how long it took for a couple of people to get their food after they ordered. It took them 25 minutes! I stopped here to grab something to eat on my way from Charleston, SC, back home to Atlanta, so It's a good thing I wasn't in a real hurry. During the entire time I was there, no one cleaned tables, so many of the tables next to the windows remained dirty. Multiple "Caution" signs were placed on the floor even before I got there and stayed there, blocking, for no apparent reason, the customers' pathway. On a positive note, this location looks relatively new and better maintained. read more

The food service was okay not the best they didn't take to long but after we got out food they forgot my frappe so we had to go back and ask, when then got that and we also had to ask for the water bottle we were missing and large cup when we did some lady there was giving us a stank face and looked pissed not our fault but anywho when we got home we realized they forgot a whole Spicy sandwich and I opened my McCrispy about the have a good day until I saw that the chicken was so small only covered like half the bread and it looks like a chicken nugget and this isn't our first problem with this place we had many more but now it's getting out of hand and time someone do something about that. read more

What if someone had an allergy? These people do not care about the customers. Fries were old. This whole place needs new workers and better managers. This is the worst McDonald's ever. The one restaurant here on US-1 and I-20 in Aiken County is a roll of the dice. I can tell they're going through new staff, because there's either a lot of double checking to make sure everything is right, or stuff is just jacked up. Due to its location, it gets very busy. I seldom have a bad experience there, but it's generally a good restaurant. Most of the time the employees are very helpful. They're there to do a job, and they know it. read more

The food is always prepared sloppy and cold. The service if that's what you call it is poor. The wait time to get the cold food is at least 10 minutes after you pull up and wait for two items. Save your money & time. read more

Anyway I just want to say I appreciated her service & let her bosses know how great of a job she's doing. She didn't only acknowledge me but she did with other customers as well. Will not be returning to this location. Bathrooms were dirty but not more so than a usual fast food restaurant. Tried the kiosk order machine and scanned a free mcafe coupon off my phone. The screen was a little off, some of the selections were an inch or two to the left. I accidently selected the wrong size drink. Removed the drink from my order and selected another. The kiosk removed the free drink and charged me for the replacement. When I spoke to the manager she acted like she had never heard of the deal, which had been on the McDonald's app for years. Refused to honor the deal. Will not be getting any more of my business. read more

This is the worst McDonald's we've been to yet. Went up to order and were told to wait which is fine however, the mic wasn't muted so we could hear everyone joking around and messing about instead of taking our order. Finally take the order, have to repeat it multiple times for it to still be incorrect. Then we get to the window, ask for the sauces we were charged for but were never put into the bag only to receive the wrong ones and need to ask again. Apparently this McDonald's in Aiken Sc at 1901 Whiskey Road discriminates agains me for nothing more than being a loyal customer. Who purchases 1 to 2 meals ever day or night. After making a food purchase, I normally sit in my vehicle eating my food. 11/16/19 An employee made contact with me about why I'm there. After showing him the bags of food from McDonald's and a brief conversation he walked back inside. Before he left he stated his manager directed him to make contact with me. He also stated " hey I know you, you come every night and buy the number 2 meal.  A few minutes later, the Aiken police made contact with me, after checking my identification and putting my info in the system!! The officer stated the manager doesn't want you here. At this time she doesn't want a no trespassing issued but she said she may call in the morning to have me issue the order not to come back ever again. I can only guess this is how this McDonald's shows its support for being a loyal daily or nightly customer.   Moreover, a few days ago I called to give this McDonald's a compliment regarding an employee who cleans the windows and outside area for doing a great job. Beware of what franchise you spend your money with less you get banned from a place for NOTHING but spending your money with them daily or nightly. Apparently this McDonald's who is owned privately doesn't need or want my money. Or its not the owners that doesn't care but its the night manager. Lastly, please note: I NEVER have had any problems before this here. I highly recommend this night manager be given some coaching and should be considered to be demoted because she just cost these owners of the  establishment money! I have ask my mother, nephew and niece not to spend there money here anymore EVER! Once you take your money else where, it makes a difference and an large impact on there bottom line $. Food took 15 minutes and had an off taste to it. We got 2 Big Macs, 2 medium fries, and a 20 pc we didn't get the sauce for the nuggets but we got ketchup for the fries. All of the food had a terrible after taste as if everything was fried in old oil. And my boyfriend and I ended up getting bad stomachaches after eating the food here. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. read more

We were traveling back from Atlanta to Charleston after hurricane Mathew and decided to stop by for a drink and a bathroom break. The building and facility is a newer modern McDonald's but that's where they got 1 of the stars. The bathrooms were dirty, our drink order was wrong and the manager was in the back heckling and making fun of their employees. Overall cleanliness was poor and the wait was too long for the minimal amount of customers. If given the opportunity I would drive past this McDonalds. read more

Stopped for a coffee at 8:40 pm on the way to work on Thanksgiving night and when I placed an order for a peppermint mocha the rude lady taking my order said "our machine's not working because we close at 9"....this made me upset because 1. It was not 9 pm so why are you shutting down stuff early and 2. there was no sorry or anything else from the person taking my order. I get you might be bitter because you are working Thanksgiving but I'm a nurse and I also work Thanksgiving so I don't appreciate your attitude. This woman should be thankful she has a job and the management at this McDonald's should ensure nothing is shut down prior to closing time...completely ridiculous! read more

It looked like a great location. I came in to use the bathroom on a road trip and the line inside was a little long so I went through the drive through. I ordered a sweet tea and a large fry. They said they were just finishing a batch of fries and asked me to pull forward to the other window. I waited there and enjoyed a few minutes of checking Facebook. After ten minutes of waiting I started to get annoyed. I noticed there were two cars behind me that got their food and left. Certainly ONE of them had fries with their order. Then after five minutes of watching people leave with their meals I pulled in to a parking spot and went inside. After five more minutes I was able to talk to a manager who apologized and refunded my order. They also gave me a free pie with my fries which was a nice gesture. They only refunded my order for my fries, not the honey mustard or the tea. The manager was nice, but unfortunately it didn't change the fact that it added 20 minutes to my 8 hour trip. read more

In contrast to the negative review of this McDonald's, I had a pleasant experience on my road trip pit stop. The restaurant was completely renovated and modern, the employees were pleasant and helpful, and the bathrooms were clean. This is the only McDonald's I've ever been to where they give you a number for your order and bring your food to the table. For to go orders, they have a monitor showing which order numbers are ready. This location has easy access to and from the interstate. I'd definitely recommend it. My favorite McDonald's meal is the newish buttermilk chicken sandwich with the McDonald's classic sweet tea. read more

McDonald's is McDonald's what makes it an enjoyable experience and the ability to enjoy a fast food break is the feeling you have ordering, eating there (in a clean atmosphere) and the employees you're interacting with. Most McDonald's we stop at you either leave feeling ok, because the foods with the exception of the fries is pretty much the same in all McDonald's. It's the employees that make it theirs or just a business someone else owns. The others you wonder what are the owners thinking. Then there's this McDonald's that's by far a rarity. We both could not believe how clean it was and could not remember the last time we have met employees in such good moods an asking to go out of their way to make sure you know they care about your visit. They proved it and it was appreciated. I would also like say who ever cooked the fries also knew their job. We just need to say thank you to those great employees for making our day.
