Breakfast bowl with ham and bacon.

Cozy with outside and two inside sitting areas. Art on the walls. We ordered our food and hot chocolate, which was brought to us. Our coffee was self-serve with free refills. It was not noisy, and almost two hours of talk went by quickly. There were three types of self-service coffee to choose from. One was caffeine free. All of the food was hot and only took about 15 minutes to be served. Almost all of the seats were in use, and there was a line at the order counter. Nice casual breakfast/coffee shop.

Awesome cafe to include keto breakfast options for low carb high fat (LCHF). Currently, I'm not seeing the low carb menu; however, it was available previously. Get in to my belly. Basically, you sub out the grits on any of the breakfast bowl scrambles. Deeelish. ** Augusta Downtown Mess -- Keto. Swap grits for scrambled eggs. Avocado. Bacon. Pimento cheese. Hot sauce. Salsa. Yummmmmm!!!! ** Coffee. Bulletproof. Black drip coffee and butter. Yes. Butter. Yummmmm. Ketogenic diet. Espresso shots are good too. Support this small business. Sister coffee shop is in Augusta. I hope the above keto menu is still in full force and effect. Haha. Go next door and get some coffee beans. See them roasting the coffee beans and get a bag.

The food was very good. The people were nice when I ordered. I sat outside on a nice Jan day. It was warm, sunny, and pretty.

Great coffee, fun savory breakfast. I even tried their cranberry muffin, they really underrated how to make naturally tasting treats without overpowering it with sugar. Lovely ambience, love they have displayed local artists. Nice team of people, super helpful and kind to each other. Town has very poor mobile coverage so I took my time to eat my breakfast and listen to them working together

Went back to New Moon today and had a large decaf tea with honey and cinnamon! So, so good! Picked up a quart of chicken salad (delicious) to go with soft crusty croissants warm out of the oven! Ordered the California Love for my husband. It's homemade spinach dip on top of golden Turkey inside a warm pita with marinated veggies! Looks hearty and delicious! The staff is friendly with lots of positive vibes and played funky fun music while I was there. Will keep coming back!

Rude, weird waiters and yelled at us for moving a table. Food just ok.Won't be back. It's one thing to be busy but you don't have to be rude

Fresh bakery with great bagels. Try their French Toast bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. Part of Aiken's local flavor.

Talk of the town is right! But not in a good way! I hired Sugar South to cater my daughter's…read morewedding in February 2020. I contracted with them to serve during the entire reception time (4 hours) for 200 people. We did not hire for a dinner, but for hors d'oeuvre to be served to our wedding guests for the complete duration of the reception party after the ceremony. I heard from guests who were caterers in another city that there was not enough food for even 100 people on the serving tables. All of the food was gone before the wedding party finished photographs and first dances, so within the first hour of the reception, all of the food was gone. Guests reported to me that they witnessed Janet throwing away full trays of food into the garbage early in the evening. Food I paid for, thrown away before the end of the reception! There was supposed to be a going-away box for the bride and groom, but there was not. We were promised a gift card to the bride and groom to make up for it, but they never received it. We had to give them money to run through a fast-food place to get food after their reception. Neither the bride or groom got one taste of the foods they picked out for their reception. The bride and groom only got water to drink during their reception (except for their toast of Champaign). Water was supposed to be served and available to our guests in addition to tea and lemonade. But there was none. When guests asked for water because all of the tea and lemonade were gone, Janet was very rude to them and refused to serve them any water, including the water requested for the bride. Guests also reported to me that they heard angry loud voices coming from the kitchen belonging to Janet and her assistant. Sugar South was the worst part of my daughter's wedding. It has left horrible memories that mar the beautiful memories we should all have of our children's wedding. Even now, 8 months after my daughter's wedding, whenever someone talks to me about my daughter's beautiful wedding, they mention how horrible the catering and caterer were. I hear more and more stories from my guests of how awful the catering was. When I called Sugar South to express my grievances and request a refund, Janet hung up on me in mid sentence and refused to answer any of my subsequent calls. Stay away from these people!! They did not fulfill their contract; they are not friendly; they do not want to serve others; they will run away with your money; and hide from you when you express your disappointments in their food and "service."

The coffee beans are roasted on site and the special blends are concocted and bagged for those that want to use them or give as gifts. The desserts are homemade. There are usually 8-10 cakes, muffins and such to choose. The customer service is what will keep me returning. I am just amazed at how everyone was treated. Please go by there. I didn't even finish it because it didn't taste good. The coffee shop vibe is cool since they have a lot of art and cool stuff on the walls like a collectible toy car case. Maybe to sit here and work would be nice. Possibly ordering something different than the Grasshopper (which is one of their signature drinks, let that be known) next time might work but I'm not planning on coming back to this coffee shop. This place was recommended to me as well but there are plenty of other coffee shops that I will be visiting in Augusta.
