You can count on two things at this restaurant. You're going to get very slow service and your order will be wrong. I have found that if you mobile order, there is a greater chance of getting what you ordered the way you ordered it. Restaurant is clean and they have plenty of parking. Worst McDonald's I've ever been to! I had to beg someone to take my order. The couple in front of me left because no one took their order. Finally one lady came to the register and when I expressed my unhappiness she mumbled something and walked away. The manager came to take my order and said I should have used the Kiosk. McDonalds has really deteriorated over the years. That's it is due to full employment so they cannot get the right talent or perhaps it is the expanded menu. I am not sure. What I do know (and you have seen in my reviews off there McDonalds) the franchise has deteriorated. This one actually was exceptional in its badness. The people at the counter made you fee like you were a bother as they did not smile, the grunted and they got the order wrong. When you showed them they got it wrong they grabbed the bag to go fix it as if to say "leave me alone". The place was filthy and instead of cleaning the employees (way over staffed) were goofing around on their phones and chatting with people who were obviously their friends who came in. Absolutely avoid this location at all costs. They received the second star just because the price was reasonable (the only thing good McDonalds has retained over the last few years). read more

After 10 pm on Sunday and my tummy rumbled. Let me just say that i wasn't pleased that I had to go to a McDonalds for food, but the Zaxby's had already closed. The drive through was.. slow and when I gave my order I was told to "Just pull around" in a very curt tone. I gave my order to the girl at the window, and had to tell her what the number 7 was, the 10pc chicken mc nugget meal, with diet coke. I did not have a bad experience here. It was not a great experience either. The staff were very friendly and checked on me more than once while they made my iced coffees. They did not have caps so they spent a lot of time looking for caps. Eventually I had to go before I was late for work. One of the coffees had a cap and it spilled all over my car. Either way I blame myself for not being able to put the capless coffee in my drinkholder and the thing was unbalanced. Finally the food was very mediocre as expected. Slow, Slow, Slow! This location is near I-75. Mc Donald's #13403. Our order was taken at 4:05pm. There was a line in front of us. We waited at least 40 minutes for our 1 Cheeseburger, 1 10-piece chicken box, 1 large fries. There were 2 drive through lines, which really is not fair to the patrons inside. Stopped by this McDonald's which was right off the highway, for a quick coffee. Pulled up to the drive thru, where there was no wait, and ordered a latte. Paid at the first window, pulled up to the second and after a few minutes of sitting there was told to pull forward and they'd bring it out. TEN MINUTES later, I was irate that it was taking that long for a coffee, so I went inside. The girl from the drive thru saw me and all of a sudden picked up a coffee from the counter and started walking towards me. I was over McD and ready to move onto Starbucks, so I told the girl I wanted a refund, I no longer wanted the coffee. The manager was sweeping, he comes and issues the refund and barely apologizes for my wait and I'm sent on my way. Problem was apparently the coffee machine got turned off? I understand things happen, but communicate with your customers. Apologize for mistakes, make it up to them, it's good customer service. Starbucks has this down. McD's needs help, especially this one. I'm assuming they poured the coffee down the drain, but this whole ordeal has resulted in a fast food rule for my family and I...if we are told to pull forward we are immediately asking for a refund. I wasted 15 minutes of travel time and didn't even get the lousy coffee. A 5 minute stop off at a Starbucks 20 miles down the road shows what customer service is all about. UPDATE: Received a letter from the manager apologizing for the experience and giving me $10 in gift certificates. Also got a phone call (voice mail message) from a woman wanting me to call, but I haven't yet. So at least they did follow up. read more

One Star is too much. The most disgusting, nasty bathroom ever!!! We walked out without even using their facilities. There was POOP all over the floor, paper towels with poop all over them on the floor. When I went to the counter to just get a drink, because there was no way I would eat there after that, I told the cashier about the mess. She gave me a big grin and said "I know." So then I told her she might want to let a manager know because if the health department shows up it won't be a good day. That funny little face disappeared! Worst McDonalds ever. We went by at 8:30 in the morning on a road trip to get some breakfast. After sitting in the drive thru for a couple minutes, a woman said "we're not open" in a rude voice. My wife said, "oh ok, what time do you open?". The woman never answered back. Their hours posted said they open at 5am. What in the world is wrong with this place?? Visiting this McDonalds is memorable for sure. How often do you get to say you have been to the worst McDonalds in the country? If you do decide to go here, I would recommend just setting $15 on the counter and say surprise me, because your order is treated more like a vague suggestion rather than a specific request. They are consistent though, because every SINGLE time that I've visited here, they have got my order wrong. Every morning for us starts with a mocha frappe and a smile from our usual girl Nelly McKinley. Not only does she start our mornings off right because of her warm greetings but she always , always, always gets it right. When I forget something she will say " didn't you want hash browns or don't you need 4 breakfast burritos" ,she is the best. Food was typical McDonalds. Me, my wife and three young daughters stopped here on our way to Disney World. It was totally empty and near the end of breakfast service. My cashier was a manager, but that decision may be questionable based on my experience. My youngest daughter took a minute to decide on what she wanted. During my entire order, the manager never said a single word. She just punched the register while I placed my order. Never a smile or gesture. When I picked up my food I gave a courteous "Thank You" which she responded with a half-hearted "You're welcome." Saddest part of all is that it was a week before Christmas and she was wearing a Santa hat. Santa would not approve. read more

No one ever gave us any Indication that they were even looking I to it. 10 min later when we were still waiting, the cashier went looking for it and found out they had given it the someone else and had to remake it. (The cashier had a long line she was tending to and really had no time to be the communication between us and the people bagging the food but kept having to leave her post to check for us...she was the only person who ever really spoke to us). Family and I were passing through on interstate and decided to stop by. While ordering, we were told our chicken tenders had to be cancelled because they were not available. Not a huge deal. After getting our drink cups. Found only one ice machine working but leaking water into the cup whenever trying to get ice. Napkins were out in both containers. Sat down and tried to drink my sprite only to find it was carbonated water. Went back and tried to get Fanta. Also out. By this time, ice machine was mostly pouring water. The McDonald's here in Ashburn sucks so bad!!! I absolutely hate going there! They never fill up your cup when you order a drink and the fries always taste like they are a day old. Don't even think about ordering a latte, smoothie, hot coco or especially an ice cream!! Their ice cream machine is ALWAYS broken, and you WILL wait in line for over ten minutes for any drink other than a soft drink. I was even told to pull up and wait for a coke one time. Just keep on driving by this one. Stopped here tonight on way back from Disney World. They should replace the McDonalds sign with "Mis-led Youth Hang Out." There were 4 guys in the parking lot smoking a joint and about 100 other teens hanging out inside - loud as could be. My family and I stood in line for about 10 minutes and couldn't handle the rude customers/ slow service and walked out the door.
