The ingredients at Lashings always taste fresh, and burgers are made-to-order. The burgers at Lashings are fairly reasonably priced considering the high quality of their food and lack of competition in the area. A burger will cost you anywhere from $7.40 (for a classic Harvey burger) to $9.90 (for the Double Decker). Add $3.80 onto the price and you've got yourself a meal. Sure, it's a little more expensive than McDonalds, but the quality and serving sizes are far superior to that of any fast-food joint. Service at Lashings is always prompt, but frantic. By Saturday afternoon, the place is packed with dozens of sore heads trying to recover from the night before. Despite this, service is still pretty fast. Not McDonald's fast, but made-to-order fast. The crew at Lashings might not be overly friendly, but they certainly are efficient.

When one of the male attendant was preparing my sandwich his shirt kept touching the bread. I asked to replace the bread which he did but later on unnecessarily kept talking above my sandwich to another attendant which I find annoying and unhygienic. Pet peeve of mine is people talking in front of my food and spreading their saliva. Furthermore when the other male attendant prepared the toppings, i requested more onions but he was reluctant to add more even he put much in the first place i had to request it several times. It was overall a very disappointing experience. I won't return to this shop in the near future. The female attendant seem okay though. I noticed she practiced good hygiene and was patient with customers.

Took a few minutes to figure out how it works - you order at the counter, he gives you a bucket with a number, cutlery and sauces, then you can take a seat - which by the way the night we were there were at a premium. Beer and wine available - take a tip, have a beer, the wine is served in a tumbler and a bit ordinary. The menu is as the name suggests - ribs and burgers. Lip-smackingly-good sounding ribs and burgers. We were both on a ribs mission, so although the burgers looked and smelt fantastic, pork ribs it was. These babies are the premium price, with beef and lamb also on offer and sides of fries, salads and wings all available. The ribs came pretty quick and they tasted wonderful. Like all ribs, they looked big on the plate, but I have to say I could have had two. The serving size is about half of Hurricanes, but in reality it is adequate. The fries are unreal - buy a plate, you won't regret it. All the food is served on enamel tin plates, also pretty funky and of course pretty much bullet proof. I would have to say next time I will be sure to order some wings to start, cos they look great and I could use the extra. Watching the folks around devor their burgers they also look pretty schmick - a few to choose from so it might take a few visits to get the range! And the good news is, I will definitely be back.
