Service is slow, order isn't right and the restaurant wasn't clean. Apparently only 4 people working.

The service was awful. The lady at the front desk had no manners and was very unprofessional. On top of that, an air conditioning vent fell on top of my niece and she didn't seem to care at all or show any concern. That kind of response to a situation like that is unacceptable. read more

No be there appears to be able to take an order at the counter face to face. It took three different people to complete my order, an order I placed my number, simple and no special instructions. They weren't busy, but it took over 15 minutes to get my order. The drink I ordered was tea. They brought me a cup that looked like muddy water with the consistency of iced coffee. Lots of staff, everyone was moving I noticed, but nothing was getting done. This wasn't the first time I experienced this at that McDonald's. They just hit my no fly list on the several trips I make through Childress. They definitely don't have much concern for quality, and they're definitely not in any hurry to serve. read more

This McDonald's is horrible. I would give them a zero if I could. We got our food, but never got our coffees. Had to ask for it twice and was told both times "I'm getting it." Finally had to go to the counter and holler "we are almost done with our breakfast and still don't have our coffees." Young lady was very rude and mouthing me back to the table. We had to go up again for a straw which we had asked for at least 5 times. We will NEVER go back to this place again. read more

The employees will ignore you as they walk through the lobby, while you wait to be helped. Will constantly get your order wrong, and the manager yells at her employees. They can read the correct order to you, but it will not be handed to you correctly. read more

I ordered 1 plain McDouble, and a small fry. After 25 minutes and still not getting my food I asked for a refund and all of a sudden they started making my food. The manager just sits around not doing anything and the workers seem incompetent. I've never left a review on yelp before but considering how heinous this visit was this will be my first. Do yourself a favor and go to sonic or something. Seriously, how is a McDonald's even be allowed to run like this? I'm so disappointed. I've been coming here for years as it used to be a pretty decent stop. However, today, it was disgusting. The mirrors covered in residue that probably hasnt been cleaned in weeks, if not months. The soap dispensers dont work, so no one can really washeing their hands. There are not even employees must wash hand signs and dead flies all around. This location seems out of standard health compliance codes, and I know I dont want to eat at a location where the employees can't even wash their hands. Flies also throughout the lobby. My experience at the one-star McDonald's was disappointing, to say the least. The forty-minute wait tested my patience, making the fast-food concept seem ironically sluggish. To add to the frustration, the staff's lack of gloves raised hygiene concerns, especially in a food service setting where cleanliness should be a priority. Discovering hair in my food was the final straw, speaking of straw I didn't get one with Dr. Pepper I ordered. Luckily I found one from Wendy's in the door pocket. This unbelievably slow service, and lack of proper hygiene makes one less stop to be wasting my time on. Pathetic. read more

Every time I come, it takes at least 20 mins and the line is always so long! Only a few times have they gotten my order correct. So, I give credit where it's due with fast food places, and have even defended a few home area McD's I go to that are, what they are, it's fast food y'know? But this was the worst fast food visit in memory. Last year in Alabama I waited about 30 minutes at a McD's drive thru, but I honestly could probably blame that on the clientele in line, and even then I got the right order, but this one is a complete disaster. TLDR, this is the worst McD's I have ever been to. Read on for the sad news. Drive thru, mid afternoon, one car in front of me. Get to order, wait, hear people talking in background on mic. Several minutes go by, guy asks for order. #7 with DP, and QTR P with cheese. That was it. Okay, notice the order isn't right on screen, mention I wanted a #7, and the burger, "ok got it". Drive up. Several minutes, young kid obviously struggling with pad. Two female managers (?) next to him, one on phone, one sitting looking at computer. Finally he gets one over to help (?) then opens window, asks for repeat on order. Okay here ya go. Window closes, struggles some more. Minutes go by, female helps again, then he says "$8.26". I hand over $9. Window closes, more struggling with pad, manager back over, unlocks register drawer, window opens, kid gives me $1.50 in change. At this point, I know if I say something, it will only make the delay even worse. Their loss. It's been almost 5-10 minutes already. I drive up to food window. After a couple minutes, another young kid hands me a bag, I check, one reg cheese B, and the QTR P. Also hands me the DP. No fries, no second cheese B. I look at receipt. No #7, there's a nugget on it, then a zero next to it, cancelled I guess, even though there were two unasked for sauces in the bag, the QTR and a cheese B, and a small fry also on receipt. I don't care what I ordered now, I just want to get the small fry I paid for. Flag down kid, he has a really lazy stare going on, tell him I didn't get the small fry I ordered, hand him receipt, and he disappears. More minutes go by. In my insane "why did we stop here?" thoughts going on, I can't remember if he reappeared again, but honestly could not figure how it was taking this long to get a small fry, when maybe the other female manager came to the window and asks "did you get the right food?" I repeated the "I just want to get the small fry I paid for", never, ever mentioning the order was screwed up. She disappears again, for minutes, and finally...finally, comes back with a small fry, hands it to me, and then pretty much slams the window in my face. I pull away, making my escape. We both pretty much agree this was a 15-20 minute horror story with no one ahead of us, or inside the store. As we're about to get going back on the road to DFW, I think of something, ask the other person to check the bag cause I didn't see one, and of course, didn't even give me a damn straw for the drink, which of course, had about eight cubes of ice in it. I don't know how it didn't spill, but that was the only positive thing about the whole incident. We both agreed never again, and we had been driving for forty five minutes cause we saw this McD's was here. Allsups burritos would have been a much better improvement. I can believe it after seeing three pages of one star reviews here. This is my fourth one star review out of almost five hundred at this time. I have never seen a fast food joint staffed with all clueless, stupid and rude employees. One star totally deserved. I'd eat raw road kill before stopping here again. read more

Driving through Childress in an RV we stopped for coffee and breakfast. We discovered the restaurant doors were locked, and they were only serving at the drive thru or mobile orders. Since we could not drive through in the RV we downloaded the app, placed an order, and waited for 20 minutes for our order. An employee walked out and gave us a bag of food and tray of coffees. As soon as I looked into the bag I could see we were missing a breakfast sandwich, so I walked back to the front door. It was still locked so I knocked and knocked and no one answered. We looked up the phone number and everything listed online went to a "this number has been disconnected" recording. Short of placing a new order or stepping into the drive through line, we had no remedy to get the sandwich or a refund. We've driven through Childress and stopped here several times. It's always really busy and takes longer than normal to get an order, but I think this is the last time for us. Fool me once...or thrice.... read more

Once she came up, the original asked could she help us... just laziness, unfriendliness, and poor leadership at this restaurant.. and in a decent small town no less. I never thought I'd review a McDonald's. They were a bit short staffed, but they took great pains to take care of us. We had better service than we usually get at tipped establishments. It wasn't just the flowers on the tables, it was the attitude of the staff. The restaurant was clean, friendly, and efficient. We will return in the future! read more

I select a 4 because Christy gave customer service was wonderful!! The soda machine was giving out more CO2 than flavor. After someone else supposedly fixed the soda machine it had not changed. She went back and fixed it herself and brought our sodas out tasting great. I would have given a 5 but the shake machine was down and we really wanted shakes. But Christy saved the day.
