This place is unacceptable!!!! As soon as I pulled in to the drive-thru they where rude, inappropriate, and using violent language. The first thing he said to me was "f### you want". I was stunned , I let that one slide but when I asked for a fillet-a-fish he said "you really want that fake a## fish?". Now I'm thinking let's play this like baseball he's had 2 strikes only one left. When I got up to the window where you pay he opened it and said "gimme yo damn card" if I wasn't stunned by that then I definitely was by the overwhelming stench of the "devils lettuce" if you know what I mean. I can only assume the his horribly inappropriate behavior was related to the marijuana he was obviously smoking. When I got to the second window to get my food I was greeted with one sauce packet and nothin else. Overall I will never be going back here ever AGAIN!! read more

Very disappointed. Went to kiosk to order after being told to "hold on" by manager. Placed my order and grabbed my number because I was dining in. Machine did not print out receipt, but I had my tent number that I took to my table. After some time, an irritated employee was yelling an order number (I didn't have mine because machine didn't print out receipt which was different number from the tent placard) I heard the order she was yelling out and it was mine. It was thrown in a bag , I had to ask for my drinks. No straws available, no ketchup, plus the order was wrong. I had extra pickles on two sandwiches and no onions on one. They didn't make them to order, nor was it even warm. Employees seem like they dislike this place more than me. read more

I genuinely like McDonalds on occasion. I don't like the trend away from fresh faced kids serving customers with all the enthusiasm of youth and, while I hold nothing against old and fat (I am old), I don't want fast food served to me by ageing monoliths with attitude, in uniforms which would be tight on people half their size. Equally it is off-putting to have to walk around ancients with mops who look, and act, like they've escaped from a zombie themed episode of The Twilight Zone. So, it was a delight to walk into this little venue to be greeted, as I walked through the door, with "Welcome to McDonalds" by a very pleasant young lady who did everything right when it came to processing my order. The Impossible burger was good (but it must be said Burger King does it better), the fries were fresh and hot, and the coffee was acceptable. It was neat and clean, sufficiently separated from the attached gas station and was, all in all, a pleasant experience made better by a nice burger. Next time I visit Watauga Lake, I will call in again. It is, in my experience, a classically good Maccas. It's unfortunate that many people will post only critical reviews of fast food places, and forget to post when the fast food eatery does the right thing. If you read this and go to the Hampton Maccas, leave a genuine review, good or not. It will help other hungry passers-by. read more

I would seriously give this Fast Food Restaurant Location a negative 10 if it was available. The service is very subpar. Not to mention they just made this the last breakfast visit ever for me. I ordered a sausage biscuit. I guess I should have said cook it "Well Done" considering it was a little on the raw meat side when I got it. I am not even joking. I would highly suggest to the owner that you pay this store a visit. Someone here is going to get you sued. I threw it in the trash the next person might actually try to eat this. read more

Its a McDonalds Express is what I would call this place because it's attached to a gas station but it does have a drive thru and I went inside to eat and it was okay enough to sit down and eat although there was some trash on the floor that could have easily been picked up I will say that they were quick even though it was very busy there was a long line in the drive thru and several people inside and I still got my order pretty quickly although they got my drink wrong I wanted coffee on the head of a normal drink up and when I tried to correct that with the girl she just gave me a weird look and let me just say that the girl behind the counter was not excited to be there at all but of that I can't really blame her too much but still its going to not get a five star rating for me because of things like that and also when I asked for a mustard she gave me a man A's and I just didn't feel like dealing with it anymore the only time I eat at McDonalds every once in awhile if I'm really really hungry for breakfast and egg McMuffin is edible and to me that's about the only thing they got that is in the coffee is decent enough to drink but anyways this is just a standard half crappy McDonalds in my experience and if that's what you're looking for this place will serve you and you get the food fast and its cheap and there you go read more
