So you order a McFish, and knowing that the regular amount of tartar sauce applied is like a pimple on a whole face. When I asked for extra, they charged me 60 cents - and didn't say anything about the charge. Some locations do charge, some don't. If I'm paying extra.....I better get EXTRA. I had not only one of the most frustrating experience, but also the most disrespectful encounter today at lunch break. I used the McDonald's app to get a code to use in the restaurant near the old Big Boys and near the MidMichigan Urgent Care. When I gave the woman behind the counter my order. She seemed to have difficulty understanding and placing the order. Instead of asking for help. She ended up pushing a bunch of buttons on the screen pad. Ended up voiding out my code and billing my for my meal without the extra burger code. When she called over a coworker to finally help her. They both seem to get very rude with me. After finally getting the order/meal fixed. I sat to try enjoy rest of my break. I sat at a table about 5 feet(no more then 10 tops) away from the counter. I preceded to listen to the much younger woman tell the older lady/co-worker and I quote. "Don't feel bad. It wasn't your fault. I deal with people like him all the time. Coming in here and trying to scam a free meal or item off our menus. I've used the app several other times at other surrounding McDonald areas without an issue. So to be talk about and accused basically to my face that I was trying to scam a place. Is not only hurtful, but very disrespectful/rude. Especially when it was clear from the beginning that the older coworker hadn't done or had no idea how to input the order/code from the get go. Plus when I've done the same transaction at other ones many of times with no issues/problem. I will not only never return there. But I will also inform family, friends and corporate of this interaction. Cause if this is how they treat or deal with customers. Starving from having to wait to eat due to a medical test i placed a mobile order at the Houghton Lake Mcdonalds . Upon arrival I was directed to the number 2 window. While waiting, I noticed several cars behind me being directed to the "wait for your order spaces". While patiently waiting at the number 2 window I observed orders being delivered to the cars that were behind me. I asked one of the employees returning from making the deliveries how long it takes to fill an order for one Crispy Chicken Sandwich. She politely responded that it takes approximately 7 minutes and she would check on the order. I asked if she could add a small drink to the order. She returned a few mimutes later with my order and a complimentary drink. All toll, the wait was 15 minutes. I returned to parking space and was prepared to enjoy my sandwich. Upon opening it, the top bun was missing! I then went inside and requested the "top bun". A new sandwich was prepared and I returned to my car. I came into your restaurant at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Well past lunch and wait before dinner. The dining area had three people and looked like the floors hadn't been cleaned in months. The restrooms were a disgrace. Thinking I would give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt - after all this is McDonald's - I decided to go to the counter to order a sandwich and french fries. I waited for one and a-half to two minutes, and while to people looked at me on several occasions, and then left because nobody asked me if they could help me. First thing the female in the drive thru seemed to have an attitude, second we get our order from the next window and the employee there seemed to not want to be at work today. We check our bags and all the food seems to be there for everyone as we continue our long drive up north. Well guess what after driving for almost an hour people are hungry and start opening wrappers on my to find out that the egg McMuffin is missing the Canadian bacon. $3.59 for an egg McMuffin at this location and it is missing what is probably the most expensive ingredient. read more

McDonalds has been here for a loooong time and sorry to say the food freshness has NOT improved! Seems like every time I order food from them it is never fresh. The fries are never hot and fresh, and no matter what other food I get is not freshly made either. McDonalds employees tend to pre-cook the food way ahead of the rush, so it just sits under the heat lamp for hours. I even ordered their fillet of fish sandwich, told them I wanted it cooked fresh, but when I got it, it was lukewarm, hard, and nasty! read more

Along with millions of other Americans I enjoy taking a trip to Mcdonalds. I just so happened to visit this location twice. Once on my way to Macinaw and once on my way back and each time I was thoroughly displeased with my visit. My first time at this specific restaurant I asked for ice water. I was instead given carbonated water. I don't understand how one makes this mistake, but whatever. Then on my way back I ordered and was charged for an Oreo frappe and fries, but was never given fries. They refused to admit that they had made a mistake and instead forced me to pay, yet again, for my craving. At the same time a person I was traveling with was given a vanilla shake which contained pools of yellow flavoring which looked like urine throughout the beverage. I would highly recommend that you hold your need for fast food until the next McDonalds. read more

I give this McDonald's a one star because it was the worst experience I've ever had. We are on a very long road trip and decided to stop here to get some dinner. Upon walking in , all you could smell was throw up. We decided to look past the smell and eat there. We ordered $15 worth of garbage. My 6 piece nugget had two nuggets that were not even cooked all the way. We only received two out of three fries we had ordered. My boyfriends two cheeseburgers were so unrecognizable as a hamburger they should be considered dog meat. If this McDonald's was a person I WOULD NOT EVEN POKE HIM ON FACEBOOK. it completely ruined our appetite and turned our stomachs inside out. What a disgrace , lake city. The "manager" and couple girls were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't even acknowledge me when they shoved my wrongly made coffee across the counter.
