So annoying that Everytime I've ordered food here during the monopoly game, they never give the cups, sandwich boxes or the fries packet with the game pieces on it. They were super nice and when they made a mistake with my order they were sorry about it and gave me a free drink for the inconvenience. We had ordered a catering service for a crew lunch for one hundred people on Sunday 06/30/24. The original catering service called us that morning and cancelled. I was freaking out to say the least. I had one hundred workers who were getting hungry and wanted lunch. I called this McDonalds location requesting two hundred double cheeseburgers, expecting them to tell me no. It was about 10:00 am. I need them in less than 2 hours. Talking with the GM, he said we got you and the food will be ready for pick up at Noon. I hung up the phone with excitement and the fact that a location restaurant saved our day. The food was ready on time and was super fresh. This McDonalds has won a customer for life. I will NEVER go to McDonalds again due to this location and their complete lack of customer service! I ordered and paid for breakfast for my family and I on the mobile app and went to the drive thru to pick it up. I pull up to the drive thru box at 10:29 and give my mobile order number and the lady says," This is breakfast, we aren't making breakfast anymore." I said I ordered it on the app 15 minutes ago and it was 10:29 when I told you my order #!" She says hold on, Manager gets on intercom and says pull around and lets talk about this. I pull around and he is clearly put off and says, "well, I can see if we have any of what you ordered lying around back here." Can you believe this crap!! I told him to refund my order and that I would NEVER go to any McDonalds ever again due to their lack of customer service. Not a whole lot of interesting places to eat in Johnstown (not a fan of Rt. 62 BBQ.) And of course the kid wants fries, and no Arby's nearby, so, McDonald's it is. We went in, and it is small, with kiosks, in the new style. Clean. Service was friendly. They messed up part of our order, and put it right with a genuine smile. Sweetie had a McMuffin, Baby K had a Happy Meal. Both were happy enough. I had the spicy chicken tenders. Not spicy, of course, but a slight zip, a tasty sauce, big tenders. Pretty good, for fast food. I like being able to add a salad; it was small, but fresh, and good. I'd actually go back. We eat at McDonald's WAY more than I would choose to nowadays, so I'm glad there are more interesting food options than there were, and healthier ones. read more

The service wasn't good. The order was extremely wrong. They were out of sweet tea, sprite, coke, and straws at the self serve. One of the young employees was loud and and rude. Takes forever at the drive thru. During today's visit, I ordered a medium Diet Coke. I'm not sure what I got. Instead of Diet punched on the lid, it says Other. It tastes like it's either regular Coke or Coke Zero. And NO ice! We ordered the buttermilk chicken tenders. Not a bad choice, except they had either been cooked for like 30 minutes too long or they had been on the warmer all day. They were like super crunchy chew toys. They were not edible. When I took them back in and told them the problem, the looked at them like it was no big deal. I stated that those should have never been served to anyone. They started to replace them with more that were in the warmer (the were just as bad looking), when I had to insist on fresh ones. No apologies. No sense of regret for trying to feed my family chicken jerky. Nothing. I will never go back. I went with 2 stars instead of 1 because it is McDonald's. you don't go there for quality food or service; you go for fast food cheap. Unfortunately they miss the mark almost every time on the fast scale. Last night I waited for 30 mins after I had paid for my food for me to receive it. After I had paid for my food I was stuck at the first window due to cars in front of me so I talked to the girl in the cash window. I was rather impressed by the dedication when she told me "I don't know why everyone has to complain when they wait; there are 2 other fast food restaurants in town and I am sure they don't have lines". That was impressive. I waited 30 mins for my food and when I got to the window they started to give me the wrong food for one of the many cars that pulled out of line due to the wait. I corrected it and they got me my food and it was correct. I have tried to let the owner know what is happening by filing a complaint at corporate and asking for a call but I have never received a call back from anyone. I figure that the owner not caring about this location is the reason that it is the pit that it has become. It will continue to survive in Johnstown due to the fact that there is really nothing else here but if you are in the area and want fast food, just go across the street to Wendy's and you will save yourself about 30 mins of your life. read more

McDonald's is pretty low on my list of places to eat, but even this one I give a miss unless it is breakfast and I'm jonesing for the addictive chemicals they put in the hash browns and sausage McMuffin with egg sandwiches. Like so many other reviews, it is slow service and often not correct.
