I checked in to see what Yelp thought of the McDonald's Lancaster location and I see that they have a well-deserved and well-earned one and a half stars. This McDonald's...as well as the Hardees right across the bypass...are symptomatic of a chronic problem that this town has with restaurants in general. It is two-fold...apathetic and/or inexperienced management, and a work force hired to prepare and serve food that should never come within a country mile of any kitchen. The town hires a lot of teenagers who have a chip on their shoulder about working for minimum wage, and adults with substance abuse issues. The work force, as a whole, gets hired, and then either stops showing up or delivers inexcusable performance. We won't eat at this location again. The last time we did, I ordered the Big Mac meal. The burger was room temperature at best, but the fries should have been thrown out long before we arrived. Not a TRACE of warmth, dried out, tasteless. And yes, I probably should have requested a refund or replacement, but my overall disgust with restaurants in this town got the better of me so I threw out the fries and we left, determined to never return. read more

Rating a business is something I very rarely do, but I always find myself back on here. The workers here are incapable of working modern day technology and always fail to correct their mistakes. I have left here multiple times with no food and money withdrawn from my account. If you use the mobile app here you're bound to run into problems with the staff trying to comprehend your order. This is by far the rudest, filthiest, laziest McDonalds we've ever had the displeasure of dining at.... 1st of all, we waited over ten minutes at the drive thru for someone to greet us, while 2 other cars pulled up in the first bay, then drove off because no one was at the speaker. after saying hello a few times with no response, we pulled around and went inside, only to be met with utterly filthy conditions, streaks of what looked like ketchup and vomit caked across the floor, the beverage counter in complete disarray. I asked to speak with a manager, a girl with no name tag stated she was, but certainly didn't offer her name. We explained we'd been thru the drive-thru and no one responded. She nonchalantly stayed there was a shift change so it was down 10 minutes or so. So... apparently they just expect customers to know the employees inside are taking a break and you should sit there until they're good and ready to take your order. It was at this point we should have run, but i'd just spent 4 hours on a plane, hadn't eaten all day and wasn't in the mood to wait another hour to get home, so I stupidly ordered the number 5, a buttermilk chicken sandwich. In the meantime, we waited for the "manager" to give us our beverage cup so we, at the very least, could get our drink. Nope, had to request it. Went to fill it up with tea, none available, my husband went back up to the counter and asked the same girl if she could fill it with Tea because there wasn't any at the beverage station. She asked him, "you want me to put it in here?", indicating the cup she had just given him. um, Yes, I prefer my tea in a cup, Seriously?! So, foods finally up, this "quickie" visit is now at close to 25 minutes, I'm hungry enough to eat the rear out of a camel.. and that Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich sounds good, but what i received could only be described as a heat-lamp dried out piece of shoe leather. two- bites and trash, completely inedible. There were so many things wrong with my order. I ordered 3 drinks but their soda machine was not working, no shakes and no coffee; all they had was sweet tea. So I purchased 3 drinks and didnt get any. The fries were stale, they had no ketchup and the burgers was missing bacon and the the other 2 burgers had condiments that I did not ask for. I originally placed the order for me to pick up on the inside but the manager locked the door so it took forever to find a order that was done wrong from the beginning. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY, my cute little nephews love eating here, it's like going to DISNEY WORLD!!! Place is super clean and very welcoming that it always brings a tear to my eye. I've never had a problem with the employees and sometimes they even throw in free stuff from how nice they are. They always make sure my order is correct and ready to go. I placed an order on the app that reflected my bank account but the app said the store was closed and to drive to another McDonald's. After calling them and being transferred 3 times, they said "call the app. We can do nothing about it" Didn't ask to retake my order Didn't direct me to a number or anyone who could help. Not sure how one Mcdonalds can make so many mistakes. Every. Single. Time we order from here something is either messed up or missing. We ordered through the drive-thru about 30 minutes ago and came home to find my #9 cheeseburgers (that I asked for with no cheese) had cheese on them. Their "cheese product" makes me sick so the fact that it was melted onto my burgers and I was unable to peel it off was disappointing. I ended up throwing them away. Also, why does this Mcdonalds never have any new toys for happy meals? It's always miscellaneous things from months/years ago. As ive had nothing but problems everytime I visit this restaurant, today was no different. My son wanted breakfast before school and fridays we try and do something special. Apparently mcdonalds wants me to order it myself on their kiosks and then get the food myself. I ordered and after 20 mins I had to go ask for my food. They had no idea I even ordered. Just don't do it. Drive somewhere else. Went inside and waited 10 minutes to place an order. The cashier was moving in slow motion. I kid you not. Waited another 15 minutes for our food. Did not get everything the way we ordered it but at this point, too hungry to care. Chicken tenders were overcooked and had the texture of leather. No onions somehow turned into half a cup of onions. Bacon on the burger was as black as charcoal. Receipt didn't print out properly so of course I can't even read the code to do a survey. Staff is all underage and acted it. The employees are terrible and rude. I don't carry cash on me for safety issues and they refused to help me because the fact that the woman behind the counter (Hannah) was too lazy to go and get a manager to fix the register. I waited for 30 minutes like she said a max would be for the register to come back up, I still had to go and tell her that I wanted to order and she said "well I'd still need a manager". She went outside and smoked, come back with a manager finally ordered, #2 combo, 2 mcdoubles and a large fry. My fries had been refried at least three times and were cold not to mention they didn't give us our full order. The employees were extremely rude and gave me and my fiance evil stares until we left.
