The food is generally pretty good. Been here at least 4 times in two weeks. But the service at the bar is particularly lackluster. Two different bartenders and both seem like they want nothing to do with servicing customers. Which is odd because the bar is where you usually where you put the more pleasant people to serve customers. Not here. Both had the dead eye and dead tone of the usually lazy people you would get service from in a fast food restaurant. We dined here with a group of about 40 people for our restaurant club. There were not enough staff in my opinion to serve us in a timely fashion. The restaurant itself was colorful and comfortable. The staff friendly and attentive as best as they could for our large group. I sat at a table with 3 other people. We waited a while for our drinks to arrive and even longer to get our orders taken. About an hour to get our food. The menu was extensive and prices reasonable. Our taco chips at the table definitely stale and we asked for a replacement. My go to order always a taco salad, my dining mates ordered shrimp tacos, and burritos. One dinner was cold and sent back to be reheated. My taco salad okay, one enjoyed the burritos, one other did not. Mixed reviews about the food we were served. I would try this restaurant again but not with a large dining group . read more

Normally I would love this place but the young "don't care" manager was dismissive when faced with the following facts: - Drinks ran dry 6 separate times with a party of four. - Food took an hour and twenty minutes from time of placing the order. - Waitress acted like she didn't understand English after engaging with us for over an hour and forty-five minutes. Especially when we requested to speak with the manager three seperate times. - Once the food came out, the steak was burnt like stirps of crunchy briquettes when asked for medium well. The "manager" stated that the reason everything was behind was because the fryer was down, even though one of our plates were Flautas which are fried. I will say fried to the point that the steak within were burnt crunchy briquettes. At least they are consistently horrible. I along with three other members of the community will never visit this establishment again. Its sad, because their family (owners of Mariachis) know how to run a successful restaurant. read more

Truly OK and am very happy that there is another food option available in Lancaster. Right along Hwy 521 on the north end of town, it is a huge place with a large bar and plenty of seating both inside and outside. Pretty typical gringo version of Mexican food: burritos, tacos, margaritas ($9.99) and a few steak and seafood plates. And pretty average. The margaritas were so-so. Nothing to brag about. We had the mango version and it was not very flavorful. I had carnitas, which were OK, but not much flavor. Wife had enchilada verde, without the chicken and said she would not come back to try other menu options. Have to agree with her. If they get a Mexican chef who knows cooking and spices, they might have a chance. I am not hopeful. read more

The food is very fresh and is full of flavor, the cheese dip and tableside guacamole are must-have, the cheese dip is rich and creamy and the guacamole is made fresh right in front of you at your table and you get to choose what ingredients you want in your guacamole. The rice is fluffy and full of flavor and the refried beans are creamy and delicious. I had a ground beef taco and a cheese enchilada, the seasoned beef it's packed full of flavor and tastes incredibly fresh. The prices are very reasonable, my wife and I got two entrées, an appetizer and two drinks and the bill was $34. The wait staff, busboys and managers are very polite and very outgoing to their customers, I highly recommend this place and I wish them great success. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience at Adela's in Waxhaw. Our server, Ernesto and the great good had us hooked. We had lunch one day and went back for dinner the next day. Joe was our server for dinner. The barbacoa, shredded chicken, and chili colorado was amazing. I love the open feel with the bar and the dining room. The robots were a first for us. Watching it come out of the kitchen and maneuver to exactly where we sat at the bar was cool. The nearest server jumped up and gave us our plates. Great process and teamwork. Wow-what a fine restaurant we have here in Lancaster. The food was fresh and high quality, the drinks were fast, good and not watered down, the service was exceptional, the restaurant has such a positive vibe to it, and it's very clean. I had the lunch size shrimp fajitas - it was a generous portion. The shrimp was also a good size and cooked perfectly. I chose the corn tortillas instead of flour - it was nice to have the option. My mom had the chicken taco salad which was also fresh and a generous size for lunch. The price was fantastic as well. The only thing I regret is not going there sooner. Just found out this place was open and had to try it. Went for lunch and the menu is cheap for the portions. Everything looked so clean and beautiful inside. The decor was really nice and the big booths comfortable. The service was amazing and a nice atmosphere. The food came out hot and it tasted amazing. New Mexican restaurant in Waxhaw, NC. Not sure why they chose this 2nd location as there is La Manhattan right down the road. They didn't change much from the previous restaurant (701 Main) but the booths are a bit more uncomfortable. The backs are overstuffed. Cute lighting. Service was odd. Three different people came to the table. One took our beverage order. Another delivered them & a third took our food order. Complimentary chips & salsa were brought to the table. Chips were a bit oily & salsa was a wee bit spicy. 'Bella Bot' delivered our meal to the table. Not sure why. My plate was actually a large platter which made it awkward to cut food and reach. I ended up turning this 'plate' so I could access each item. It was 'plate overkill!' I had the '3 Generations" which I always get. Chicken, shrimp, flank steak, rice, refried beans & salad. It was good. Shrimp & chicken especially good. Cooked perfectly & very tasty. The steak was very tough & chewy. Salad bland, although fresh. Rice & beans were good but rice should have been served hotter. My husband had the Beef Quesadilla and he liked it and the rice & beans too. His rice was also on the cooler side. My fiancé took me there for a special occasion. We started with margaritas, and warm chips with delicious salsa. We ordered the table side guacamole as an appetizer. It was good, but NOT prepared table side, as advertised, nor was it the best we've ever experienced. Also, it was delivered to our table after the main courses. I ordered a chicken fajita, which was sizzling hot and fragrant, but contained mushrooms, to which I am allergic. The server was kind enough to take it back and get me a mushroom-free fajita. I went there because I had to get the disappointing taste out of my mouth from a previous Mexican restaurant I order From a couple of weeks Ago, ordered my food 2/12in burritos and two quesadillas so needless to say order was incorrect and incomplete.
